@modgem welcome to the group Smile.

Wineandchoccy · 25/09/2018 07:38

@Jenfur I had a dreamgenii last time but hated it. I could never get on with it all much prefer my Β£18 U shaped one from wowcher. The only good thing about the dreamgenii is they hold the value so you get your money back if you sell it.

HidCat · 25/09/2018 07:38

@Nightmanagerfan I bought Jeans from Vertbaudet and love them. They usually have good discounts available too. Last time around it was all New Look and Mothercare. It's so frustrating not to be able to just go to a shop and try them though.

Sad I'm feeling really fed up today. I know it sounds silly but I just don't feel pregnant anymore and I'm really worried. I've had nothing like bleeding or bad pains to make me feel like this. I thought I was getting a bump last week but turns out it must have been bloating because I still don't feel like I look any different. I keep trying my best to feel some movement and I know it's still so early (15+5 and first baby). Just want something to let me know he's ok in there. It's still 5 weeks til my next scan and I know having one privately will help me for all of a few days so don't really want to do that. I feel terrible for feeling like this. The only vague symptom I have is still some slight nausea and needing to go the toilet a million times a night. Sorry for the moan Sad

Bluebelltulip · 25/09/2018 08:11

melissa12 I think a lot of people find this stage unsettling, once you have a bump and are feeling regular movements it gets better and you can enjoy it. In the meantime try not too worry as you said you have no reason to think anything is wrong.

SquirtlesMumAgain · 25/09/2018 08:20

I remember going through the same feeling around 16 weeks last time @melissa12, I had stopped feeling sick, didn't really have a bump and generally just didn't feel anything. It didn't last long as the low rolling feeling started soon after and the movements didn't stop from then!

melissa112 · 25/09/2018 08:25

Thanks for the reassurance. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has felt like this around this stage. I think I got so used to seeing baby in the first trimester as I had some pain at 5weeks so had a couple of scans at the EPU then the NIPT scan and finally the 12 week scan that not seeing him for a few weeks has made me worry. I guess I just need to trust that all is ok and before long I'll feel those movements Smile

Nightmanagerfan · 25/09/2018 10:06

@melissa112 I think what you’re describing is normal - give it a couple more weeks and you’ll have a bump and it will all seem more real!

Thanks for the recommendations @hidcat I hadn’t thought of Next. It’s just such a faff having to order online not knowing the size etc, and invariably most of it doesn’t suit. A friend has given me a beautiful SΓ©raphine black wool/cashmere maternity coat that I’m very pleased with - hopefully it will make plain black trousers and smart shoes look good for work. I also bought a few JoJo Maman bits on eBay -mixed bag but one lovely black and white polka dot dress will probably get lots of wear.

Nightmanagerfan · 25/09/2018 10:06

Oh and had my flu jab this am and the nurse said it gives immunity to the baby for a few months after birth too.

SDP84 · 25/09/2018 10:38

@melissa112 I feel exactly the same as you at the minute. I'm 17+4 and I've still not felt any movement and I just don't feel pregnant at all!
My 20 week scan is just over 2 weeks away but I'm really getting a bit worried as every day it feels like nothing is happening. I'm not really growing and I can't feel him either.
I have been wry preoccupied as we are moving in just over a week so maybe as I've been so busy that's why I haven't felt movement yet?
I do see my midwife on Thursday for my 16 week check so I've definitely got a lot of questions for her.

SquirtlesMumAgain · 25/09/2018 11:02

Just been for my 16 week check (at 14+6!) and she found a lovely strong heart beat, baby even wriggled and hit the doppler with a big bump!
Have found out I have low PAPP-A so have to take aspirin daily from 16 weeks until the birth. Didn't have this last time, this pregnancy is really throwing everything at me. The midwife basically said "don't Google it, you'll scare yourself!"....

melissa112 · 25/09/2018 13:56

Thanks for the replies. I also have my 16wk appointment with the midwife this week, tomorrow in fact so I'll make sure I speak with her about my worries. Hopefully she'll listen to the heartbeat and I can feel a bit more confident that all is ok

Marmite2018 · 25/09/2018 16:40

I saw the midwife today and we listened to the heart beat, it was amazing!!!! I also had my urine sample taken and midwife has told me my ketones are really high so I have to do another sample tomorrow or they will send me into hospital to be rehydrated :(. I know this is because of how sick I've been but not ideal!!!!! Very annoying!

SquirtlesMumAgain · 25/09/2018 17:48

That's why I was put on antisickness meds @Marmite2018. Hope tomorrow's test is better for you, but if you need it just go with it - better you are both well

HidCat · 25/09/2018 18:19

@SquirtlesMumAgain ha ha gotta love your midwife for that!

@Marmite2018 hope tomorrow's test is better but at least you're getting looked after.

Nightmanagerfan · 25/09/2018 19:01

@marmite2018 I didn’t realise you’d been quite so sick! Look after yourself and If they send you in for a drip see it as an opportunity to have a nice lie down Grin

Marmite2018 · 25/09/2018 19:13

@Nightmanagerfan I thought it was getting better but I guess still being sick at 16 weeks isn't great... it's more the nausea meaning I can't drink, I find liquids make me throw up. Thanks for all your support ladies. I'll keep you posted. At least baby's getting what it needs at the moment.

Nightmanagerfan · 25/09/2018 19:30

@marmite2018 that sounds grim. Can you stomach high water content foods like melon, jelly etc? I’m still vomiting most mornings and I thought that was bad!

melissa112 · 25/09/2018 20:04

@Marmite2018 hope your test tomorrow goes ok. If they do send you for the drip I'm sure it will make you feel better as you'll get some fluid in you. Fingers crossed for you

ballanj · 25/09/2018 22:11

Hi everyone, so today's my birthday! Have been at work for most of it but had my hair done ready for final Holiday before baby on Saturday. Celebrated with friends at work lunchtime with a small glass of red and a McDonald's after the hairdressers this evening with my other half. Birthdays will never be the same again!

LittleKitty1985 · 25/09/2018 22:14

Sjohn81 · 26/09/2018 07:28

@sunnywithachanceofpanic I'm nearly 19 weeks and feel the same. I've only just told work this week and I'm still in my normal jeans.
I've not even really thought about getting maternity stuff yet

HidCat · 26/09/2018 07:28
