How bizarre @Wineandchoccy mine was definitely in the arm at 28 weeks! I didn't need the post birth one though so maybe that would've been in the bum!

Angelmiracle · 19/09/2018 13:52

@ladycarlotta I'm rhesus negative too. My appointment for anti D is at 30 weeks. DS is negative so didn't need the one after delivery! Haven't heard about them testing babies at 16 weeks in our trust unfortunately. Mine was in the arm last time had no pain after but I did after the whooping cough. You just have to be cautious if you have a fall or hit to your bump, any bleeding etc phone EPU/FMAU they may give anti D as a precaution.

@MyMumDimensionJumps I didn't do hypnobirthing last time but kept so calm and like you was definitely in a lot of pain. Which makes it more anxious this time so it would be nice if the CD helped with the relaxing!

@Murphyrocks maybe she just wanted to see my bum Confused

Murphyrocks · 19/09/2018 14:02

@Wineandchoccy that must've been it! Mine was in no condition to be seen the day after giving birth πŸ˜‚

cardboard33 · 19/09/2018 14:25

@ballanj we heard the heart beat at the 12 week scan (just using the normal ultrasound thing, it wasn't internal like the earlier scan) and was loud and clear so would have thought they'd be able to pick it up at 16 weeks!

ballanj · 19/09/2018 14:30

Thanks @cardboard33 and @ladycarlotta I guess I'll just see what the midwife says when I go along and play by ear!

ballanj · 19/09/2018 14:35

@ladycarlotta I'm also rhesus negative, I got through and appointment for my anti-D injection shortly after my booking in at 5 weeks! Mine's on 27th December which makes me 29 weeks by then. I think I remember from reading the leaflet they sent with the letter that the risk isn't so much with this baby but more so with future babies. Don't quote me on that though! From what I understand it's also quite common and a lot of the time there may not even be an issue but if you or the father are rhesus negative they will give it to you as standard.

Buttons2 · 19/09/2018 15:52

Checking in and due 6th march with second baby. Just wandering if anyone has been feeling baby move yet? Nothing here as if yet but hoping it won't be long

Wineandchoccy · 19/09/2018 17:07

Welcome @Buttons2 it’s my 2nd as well I keep thinking I have felt odd flutters but not regular

melissa112 · 19/09/2018 17:29

Lovely scans @AssumeItWasSomethingClever and @Nightmanagerfan so glad all went well!

Got my 16 week appointment next week and wondering if they'll listen to the heartbeat. This past few days I seem to have suddenly gone absolutely massive. I'm still 4lbs under my starting weight but my belly is massive! It's not quite hard but starting to look more bump like. I put on my Lidl maternity leggings when I got in from work just now. Oh wow, they are so comfy and make bump look like a proper baby bump too which is nice Grin

@Buttons2 welcome and congratulations! Haven't felt anything yet but only 15 weeks tomorrow. It's my first so not sure when to expect to feel anything.

Does anyone know when baby can hear your voice or sounds from outside the womb?

Marmite2018 · 19/09/2018 18:12

Do any of you think tiredness can impact on your morning sickness? We had the dreaded ofsted in school yesterday so it's been very stressful long days since we found out on Monday. Today I'm literally back to how I felt in week 10. I've not stopped feeling/being sick. I even threw up whilst brushing my teeth today 😒. Feeling HIDEOUS!!!!

melissa112 · 19/09/2018 18:32

@Marmite2018 absolutely I do think tiredness has an impact. I was working from home for about 5 weeks and had just started to feel better about 12weeks. I went back to work and was absolutely exhausted and that first week back I was sick every evening on and off for hours and before that hadn't been sick in over a week at the point. I've also started throwing up when I'm brushing my teeth and I'm 15 weeks tomorrow. Now it's happening every morning but not in the evening. I'm worried my body is just reacting to the sensation now!

Murphyrocks · 19/09/2018 18:35

Hi @Buttons2 and congrats! I've been feeling baby move for a few weeks now on and off (I'm 16+3) but I felt baby 1 very early too. Anytime between 16 and 24 weeks I believe is considered to be normal although some do feel movement earlier or later.

@melissa112 I'm fairly sure its 16 weeks they can start to hear as the bones in their ears develop, so guess I better start chatting to bump!

@Marmite2018 yes I absolutely think tiredness makes MS worse - it seems to make everything worse! And I do seem sicker when tired.

ballanj · 19/09/2018 18:47

@Marmite2018 I think tiredness makes any symptoms you may be having so much worse! I've had my heads come back after a really full on weekend when I was finally starting to feel human last week. Definitely think I need to factor in more rest periods where I can grab them

Bluebelltulip · 19/09/2018 18:52

Marmite2018 GP when I went about sickness said the best thing for reducing morning sickness is rest so absolutely.

Marmite2018 · 19/09/2018 18:55

Thanks ladies. Feeling so pathetic but I can't physically move. I'm in bed now and hoping I will sleep so that I feel back to my 15 week self (which had been so much better!)

So sorry to everyone still feeling (and being!) sick. Sad Seems very unfair. I'm still retchy when I drink a lot in one go or am hungry, but nothing compared to some of you. I really hope you're all feeling better soon!

Not sure if this is a pregnancy thing or just general pain but the last couple of days every time I nod my head or bend forward I get this horrible pulling pain in my lower back and side, almost down near my hip. It feels like it makes my uterus tighten too, but I don't know if that's just paranoia as the pulling pain is so horrible. I've tried doing some stretches to ease it off but it seems to be getting worse and no stretches seem to touch it. If I weren't pregnant I'd get on the foam roller, but I'm worried that'd be a bit brutal! Anyone want to reassure me that this sounds completely regular? I think it's my anxiety getting the better of me after all the issues I've had so far with this pregnancy but I am feeling worried about it.

SquirtlesMumAgain · 19/09/2018 20:24

@cardboard33 the midwife's doppler isn't as sensitive as the ultrasound scanner I don't think, hence it being harder to find

LovelyFishy · 19/09/2018 20:46

Long absence, tried to catch up as best I can!

Had take 2 of 12 week scan today, they’re still only putting me at 12+3!!! That’s nearly 2 weeks behind my original date, even further back than they estimated at the 1st 12 week scan. Already having a toddler opportunities to make another baby are fewer so I know I can’t be that far back. New due date of 31/03. But moan aside, one lovely healthy looking baby. Smile

toast Sounds like it could be normal ligament type pains. Pregnancy is super weird and uncomfortable for plenty of us, I always get so jealous of people who can swan about and make it look effortless!

Gronk27 · 19/09/2018 20:51

@toastfiend I've been suffering with my back. Did some stretching today and I've been having warm(!) baths. Going to book a pregnancy massage.

Although I'm not suffering with sickness now unless I spend too long in the shower, get hungry or do too much, I nearly throw up every time I brush my teeth!

Turns out my midwife had booked my 16 week appointment but just wrote it in my little booklet thing. But it hasn't been put on my app. like my other appointments. It's all very confusing! I had to move it anyway so I'll actually be 17 weeks. It's a the GP surgery but no idea who it will be with.

I've done a lot of housework today and an exercise session so hoping I don't pay for it tomorrow!

ballanj · 19/09/2018 22:04

@LovelyFishy @toastfiend tell me about it, some women appear to just breeze through it. This group makes me feel so much better for all my moans and groans πŸ˜‚ I'm sure some of the women who deem "pregnancy is the best thing ever" must be lying πŸ˜‚

Wineandchoccy · 19/09/2018 22:08

I think I’m feeling movement Smile
Dd (3) wanted to dance earlier so we were bouncing around and for the past few hours I have been feeling flutters, poor thing must have been jiggled about

melissa112 · 20/09/2018 07:43

@Wineandchoccy that's so exciting! Can't wait to feel some movement.

@toastfiend I'm getting similar pains when I turn over in the night. I think they sound like normal pains when moving suddenly.

I convinced myself I had a hernia because I can stop halfway through turning over and the pain will stop too, as soon as I move slightly in the direction I was going it really hurts, like cramp almost. Hope it's just normal ligament pain.

Does anyone know when this getting up in the night to go to the toilet will ease off?I didn't drink anything after 5;30 last night and was up about 4times after I went to bed at 8. It was just one cup of hot vimto so no idea why I kept needing to go. It's like this each night. I'm 15 weeks now so thought it would have stopped.

Angelmiracle · 20/09/2018 08:21

@melissa112 I get that pain every night turning in bed too glad it's not just me. That sounds like a lot 4 times through the night. The only drink I can manage is freezing cold water I take my water bottle to bed and I'm only getting up once. I'm 12+4. That would lead me to think the sweeteners in the vimto are making you go more often.
