Just catching up after a week away, I've felt a lot better this week though still quite tired so had a few siestas lol. Managed to have a good time and unfortunately have now got a cold. I also think I've felt some movement! With DS I had definite movement at 15 weeks and I'm 14 weeks today and had the same feeling tonight after a questionable tickle a few days ago.

I'm so sorry to hear your news @Funnybunnyfluff . Take plenty of time to process everything, I've been where you are and it will get easier in time but don't be afraid to let it all out.

@PartridgeJoan how have you been today? I've had occasional bouts of pain but they usually pass after a day or two.

@frankiefumbles congratulations on your bfp. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Welcome to those who have joined recently, I hope you're all doing ok. Thank you for the heads up about Lidl ladies - I managed to pick up some leggings which have been heaven when sitting in the car for long journeys!

ladycarlotta · 14/09/2018 18:07

@purpleflower yeah I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and feel like it should really be too early, but it was odd what I felt. I'll probably feel silly in 4 weeks' time when I do start to feel it move and it's totally different!

@Assumeitwassomethingclever hope the scan went well.

Marmite2018 · 14/09/2018 18:31

@melissa112 I am soooo with you on wondering if I'll ever feel normal again.
My nausea is fading, I've gone 4 days without throwing up which is the longest I've gone since week 6. I'm 14+ 5 now. I also thought it would be more over by now. My diet is still very restricted but I am gradually introducing vegetables back in my diet.

I am now finding I'm just exhausted all the time. Last night I was asleep before 9! Tonight I fear the same. My dreams are off the scale!

I also wonder if I'm feeling something but think it must be impossible. It feels in an odd place but like bubbles on my right hand side quite low down. Just above my bikini line. Who knows though?!

Welcome to the newcomers @7415N1d0r1391117 and @NotDoingThat

I think I'm definitely starting to show and people don't know at work yet... it's getting awkward! My bursar knows and she said to me today that she can see I'm starting to show too. I never thought it would be this early with my first!

cardboard33 · 14/09/2018 20:17

Hi everyone... Sorry to hear of your loss FBF, first of all, it must be such a difficult time for you particularly when you get all of the way to 12 weeks.

We had our scan this week. They put my dates forward by a couple of days which was good so now knocking on the 13 week door.

I'm feeling the worst I've been thus far, although granted I think I've had it light compared to a lot of you. I'm just so completely exhausted all of the time as I'm still finding it really hard to sleep and have only once slept through the night since early July. I've also gained a massive constant headache in the last few days which just doesn't seem to shift, plus I'm bunged up down below constantly. I don't understand why as I've always drank excessive amounts of water and am still eating very healthily (I've not gone off food at all) so I'm not really sure what else I can do. Ideas??? For either sleeping or bunged up-ness!!

Gronk27 · 14/09/2018 20:52

@cardboard33 I've been getting headaches (mine seem to be aches and pains/tension related) and constipation. I think they're both just pregnancy things regardless of how well you're looking after yourself.

I'm 14+3 and suddenly the maternity stuff that was falling off me last week is fitting! And although all the Lidl stuff is great the jeans are tight! I have no waist whatsoever. Is that pregnancy or just the beige food from the first 3 months?? My cold is a bit better wonder if that's the change in seasons.

XxsimonexX · 14/09/2018 21:12

Hi I think I’m in the right group the link wouldn’t work what someone sent me. I’ve just found out 3 days ago I’m pregnant then today at an early scan I found out I’m 15 weeks 4 days due March 4th xx

1986mumof5 · 14/09/2018 21:17

Hi everyone, on my 5th pregnancy, already blessed with 4 children. Due March 9th. Have been following this thread for a few weeks. Just want to reassure everyone who is worried about not having symptoms the same as previous pregnancies that all 5 of mine have been different so far. So as worrying as it is 9/10 you'll be fine. This time round I've had no sickness and my boobs are still non existent lol. Lost those bad boys after having my first who is now 12 lol. However my fourth is only 7 months so I currently look about 6 months pregnant. My long suffering OH and I were pleasantly surprised to find out about this baby who was planned but maybe not expecting quite so soon after number 4 lol. If anyone has any questions I'd be more than happy to share my vast experience of pregnancy post natal Joy's and yucks lol and everything in between. Good luck to everyone xxxxx

Wineandchoccy · 14/09/2018 21:21

Wow I bet that was a shock @XxsimonexX congratulations

toastfiend · 14/09/2018 21:38

I've been wondering if I've been feeling movements too. Like a funny popping, twitching sensation in my lower abdomen. I keep thinking it might be too early but it happens sporadically, usually if I'm sitting down or in bed, and I've not felt anything like it before. My bump has definitely appeared now, DH got home tonight and the first thing he said was "bloody hell, look at your stomach!" Which probably isn't what every woman wants to hear, but he did say it with a massive grin on his face and is pleased as punch so I'll forgive him!

Like lots of others, I'm still knackered, nausea is better but very evident when I'm hungry and I'm another that went off chicken. I also have a lingering headache that is really unpleasant. I gave in and took paracetamol for it the other day and they seemed to reduce it from unbearable to just a nagging feeling, but it's not the nicest. Usually very evident when I wake up at night and first thing in the morning, then eases during the day.

Pregnancy pillow is a total godsend! I'm not sleeping brilliantly but it's a million times better than it was! I'm finding I'm still getting exhausted. I'm working all day tomorrow at an event and I know I'm going to be collapsing into bed as soon as I get home!

Hope everyone else is doing OK and HUGE congratulations @frankiefumbles!! Grin

VillageFete · 14/09/2018 21:48

So many messages to catch up on. It’s been a stress filled, hectic couple of days! @funnybunnyfluff There are simply no words. I’m beyond sorry. All my love is with you Flowers

I have booked in for scan tomorrow. It’s been such a stressful couple of days and I feel I need a scan for reassurance that all is still ok with baby. I’m 11+5 tomorrow, 12 week scan is booked for next Friday.

I’ve had lower back ache and creamy/milky discharge for the last 2 days. Does anyone know if this needs addressing? The back ache feels like pulling and a dull ache. It comes and goes.

1986mumof5 · 14/09/2018 21:55

I've had a lot of creamy discharge this time round too. And the backache. I wouldn't be too alarmed. If the pain becomes more sharp or stabbing mention it to your midwife. Also if the discharge becomes tinged with blood or smelly (tmi) phone the emergency midwife line. As it is ATM I wouldn't worry HTH x

VillageFete · 14/09/2018 22:17

@1986mumof5 Thanks for the reassurance. It’s good to know i’m not alone and it’s nothing too alarming. X

Wineandchoccy · 14/09/2018 22:22

@VillageFete discharge and backache here as well so I hope it’s

Wineandchoccy · 14/09/2018 22:22

Normal

ladycarlotta · 14/09/2018 22:23

welcome @xxsimonexx @1986mumof5 glad you found us! Wow mumof5 you've got this babymaking thing down! We could do with your experience round these parts.

@VillageFete haven't had any backache but I noticed the same discharge these last few days. presumably it's normal.

I'm in bed and very uncomfortable - I've had acid reflux at night a lot recently. I don't tend to eat that late, but I don't know if it's caused by lying down too soon after food. Maybe I need to scale down my evening meal or something.

toastfiend · 14/09/2018 22:28

I'm another who has had a lot of discharge. Also back ache on and off and quite a lot of pelvic and round ligament pain. I panicked about it a bit at first but it's been going on for a couple of weeks now and from Googling (must step away from Dr Google) and talking to friends it seems like it's normal.

I'm constantly desperate for a wee lately! I'm and out of bed multiple times a night. Very frustrating! Especially as I get trapped in this massive pillow and end up having to very ungracefully fling myself over the wall it creates and out of bed.

@ladycarlotta I've found Gaviscon and Rennie quite helpful. Apparently we're not allowed to take Pepto Bismol, but I've got packets of Gaviscon and Rennie by my bed and often find I need one at some point during the night.

Gronk27 · 14/09/2018 22:39

@toastfiend where did you get your pillow?

Does anyone want these Lidl Jeans size 14, I am normally a 12 and 14 weeks and they are just that bit too tight. I'm in Birmingham.

myotherbagisgucci · 14/09/2018 22:50

For those suffering from heartburn of acid reflux, I'd highly recommend getting some omeprazole from your doctor.

I had super bad heartburn and reflux from 6 weeks (and because of this my mum is convinced I'm having a boy) anyway, the pain was that bad and I'd been throwing up bile (sorry if tmi) that my husband rang 111 and the doctor prescribed me omeprazole. Within 2/3 hours of taking it, it had completely gone and I've been taking it everyday since and not had one flare up (even after KFC πŸ˜‰).

Wineandchoccy · 14/09/2018 23:03

@myotherbagisgucci I second the omeprazole I had terrible heartburn last time and it was the only thing that worked. Oh I had a daughter she was very hairy though which if you believe the old wives tales about heartburn Grin

myotherbagisgucci · 14/09/2018 23:07

@Wineandchoccy I had a DD last year and didn't suffer once from heartburn or reflux, although she didn't have much hair when she was born. She's 8 months now and it's only really starting to grow. Lol!

My mum said she had it really bad when she was pregnant with my brother. But yes the omeprazole is a god send!! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

7415N1d0r1391117 · 15/09/2018 06:35

Thank you everyone for the lovely welcome!

I was told I’d be showing sooner and probably bigger with it being my third and I’m fitting in all of my clothes and haven’t gained a lb. I know this is a positive because I gained A LOT of water with my boys. I put on 5st with my first, 3st was lost after 2 weeks of having him so I will say that was mostly water! And my second I put on 3-4st and 2st of it was water. I put on weight so quickly with both boys and very noticeably in my legs etc.. my legs are so normal this time πŸ˜‚ this bubba is very kind to me! I definitely could deny being pregnant for sure. I’m a little jealous of everyone starting to show but I know it’ll just appear soon enough and I’ll be moaning about being big again πŸ˜„

I’m trying to read through the thread and catch up.
@funnybunnyfluff I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending lots and lots of love and prayers your way πŸ’“ there are no words for what you are going through but I’m sure you will receive the most incredible support from everyone who is around you and everyone here πŸ’“

MistakenHoliday · 15/09/2018 07:33

Hi everyone! Been catching up after a week away from the board - back in school so things are busy!

Morning sickness has mostly gone but, like a lot of people, I'm now on with heartburn. I'm going to get a prescription for something when I go to see the midwife next week 🀞🏻

Marmite2018 · 15/09/2018 09:40

My top tip for headaches is 4head by the way. It's made such a difference with mine!

VillageFete · 15/09/2018 10:47

Just had a scan and very surprised to be put forward by 4 days. It’s not really possible is it as I only had sex once on the Friday night and that would mean I ovulated on the Thurs? Who knows. Maybe the baby was stretching?!

They are saying i’m 12+2 now. Any gender guesses? I’m almost scared to ask!

Gronk27 · 15/09/2018 11:05

@villagefete lovely picture. Not a clue about gender guesses sorry! I was put forward as well, which I thought was strange as like you say there was only really one opportunity. Is it more to do with size than dates? What's your gender pref (as you say you're scared to ask)?
