How is everyone doing with nausea? I felt slightly better over the past two weeks, still felt nauseous each day but not being sick much and well enough go back to work and keep food down but the past few days I've been sick loads again and today has been the worst. Thankfully I'm working from home as my car broke last night (not great timing) but I've felt back like I was around week 8 again. I'm 14+1 today so would be expecting to have come out the other side by now!

NotDoingThat · 14/09/2018 12:50

@ladycarlotta not too bad thanks now I'm over the month of having my head in a toilet, the month of needing 12-14 hours of sleep a day and then the month of insomnia! Hmm

How are you feeling?

ladycarlotta · 14/09/2018 12:59

@NotDoingThat ha, pretty much the same. still getting super tired - and I think this is the month of headaches and acid reflux, unfortunately - but boy am I glad to see the back of the nausea.

@melissa112 I've been very miffed to find that my nausea did not vanish at 12 weeks. For me I think it's only properly faded in the last week or so - I'm 15+6. Definitely still quite averse to some foods but not a patch on what it was.

NotDoingThat · 14/09/2018 13:04

My nausea's in check provided I don't eat:

Chicken
Olives
Lemon
Coffee
Jelly
Eggs
Anything creamy
Too soon before getting in the car
Too much at once :(

And when I slip up it's much worse than the head in toilet month! But blessedly not that often anymore!

melissa112 · 14/09/2018 13:14

@ladycarlotta glad to hear it's easing a bit now for you. I wonder when we'll feel completely normal?or if we will ever! I know it sounds dramatic but I kind of feel like I will feel like this forever. Then start feeling very sorry for myself! I'm wondering if I'm getting a bug maybe as this feels different to the morning sickness and I feel very shaky and like I could faint. Suddenly fancied some choccy biscuits so I can't be that bad Grin but think I might be craving the sugar. Hope you continue to feel better!

@NotDoingThat did you eat chicken prior to being pregnant?I did and have also found I can't stomach it now either, haven't touched it in weeks and I used to have it all the time. Eggs too! Ugh even typing eggs is making me feel queasy haha. Glad you have found a way to keep it in check though. I did have to ask baby why he was doing this to mummy again now today!

SquirtlesMumAgain · 14/09/2018 13:23

Nausea is still terrible here, so bad I am now on antisickness meds just to get through the day. So glad this isn't my first or I would be worrying!

NotDoingThat · 14/09/2018 13:53

@melissa112 I used to love chicken and eggs especially- it just tastes different now! And I keep forgetting that I can't stand them.

Despite having been off eggs since w8, DP brought a quiche home for tea at my suggestion (Friday night lazy tea) and it wasn't until he actually brought it home and I saw it that it clicked that quiche was mostly egg and egg is the devil's slimeSad

ladycarlotta · 14/09/2018 14:18

@melissa112 I remember at about 7 weeks being like HOW WILL I BEAR ANOTHER 5 WEEKS OF THIS?! and having a good old cry. I felt SO sorry for myself. But actually that feels a million years ago now - I'm not looking forward to the third trimester much, and I can't bear these headaches, but I guess like a very wise book says, we can't go round it, we'll have to go through it. It'll pass.

That's funny about eggs, I used to be a big egg-eater and we usually had a 15-pack on the go, but since I've been pregnant I've kept on buying them, I just never eat them. We had to throw a load away. I don't know what that's about. I'm also totally off deep-fried stuff, particularly chips, and anything with a particularly fatty mouth-feel, eg greasy burger, pork belly etc. There's some viral video of baking various cheese in pizza dough going around my social media at the moment and it makes me want to spew every time I see it.

@NotDoingThat welcome to the group Smile

Hi Ladies πŸ’“

Baby no3, due 8th March!

This has been such a different pregnancy to my two boys it’s craaaazy. I haven’t even got a bump yet! I was HUGE with my second at 9 weeks.

Anyone else still not showing at 15 weeks?!

myotherbagisgucci · 14/09/2018 15:16

Congratulations @7415N1d0r1391117 I'm 14 weeks and I look bigger than I did at 16 weeks with DC1. I've already had to retire my skinny jeans to the back of the wardrobe 😩. Lol

AssumeItWasSomethingClever · 14/09/2018 15:17

Hi everyone. I'm off chicken and eggs as well! The thought of a runny egg makes me what to hurl. My nausea has subsided a bit but I feel sick as soon as I get hungry.

I've got my second first scan in about an hour. Looking forward to getting a new DDate and finally knowing how far along I am... the first sonographer wasn't particularly helpful and just said "you're about 8-9-10 weeks". 🀞

Gronk27 · 14/09/2018 15:35

@ballanj I'm sticking with the 29th! I'll just be a bit late to my event. Rang up and the lady sounded very stressed and panicked, had no appointments until into November which would have been too late. I realised I'm only working in the evening that day and I spoke to my boss and we agreed I could be a bit late. Phew.

melissa112 · 14/09/2018 15:37

Sorry to hear that many of you are still suffering with the nausea too. Wonder why eggs has had an effect on us all? Maybe just the smell? Poor OH hasn't had one at home in weeks.

I also had a few massive cries early on and wondering how I could make it through to 12 weeks and as you say, it feels like ages ago now!

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever good luck with the scan today! Hopefully this time you'll have a more helpful sonographer!

melissa112 · 14/09/2018 15:39

Hi @7415N1d0r1391117 Congratulations and welcome to the group!

I'm only 14 weeks and hoping for a bump soon but think I just look a bit chubby around the middle. I did take a pic last night and will take one at each week and hopefully I'll notice a difference.

NotDoingThat · 14/09/2018 15:54

I'm 15+5 and had to switch to mat clothes exactly 9 days ago- I just seemed to pop overnight. Then had to spent the rest of the week in the same mat jeans (only mat clothes I'd bought at that point) while waiting for more to be delivered!

ballanj · 14/09/2018 15:55

@Gronk27 I'm really pleased it all managed to work out! Hope you're still feeling good as you have been too, I'm feeling a bit more tired today but I was out last night until the really late time of 9pm πŸ˜‚ and has been a busy week. Looking forward to sitting down with the other half and catching up over a glass of wine later (cue lots of gasps / judgment...!) x

AceyMac13 · 14/09/2018 16:01

Hi all :)
Haven’t been on much as life got in the way! Got my first scan next Thursday at 8.30am, I’ll be 13 weeks so I imagine baby will look so much different compared to the tiny blob I saw at 7 weeks!
Nausea went away but has come back the past week with a vengeance!

Gronk27 · 14/09/2018 16:32

@ballanj thank you! I had a thimble of wine with my roast last night st my parent's! Feeling tired this afternoon but managing to get a bit of tidying done after a morning of working from home.

ballanj · 14/09/2018 16:38

@melissa112 I'm just over the 14 week mark and definitely feel I've popped this last week. I think the word I'm using to describe myself is 'thicker' as my waist has now definitely disappeared πŸ˜‚

ballanj · 14/09/2018 16:40

@AceyMac13 oh absolutely, the difference from 7 weeks will be astounding!! I didn't have an early scan and I was still amazed at how much detail there was on the scan!

ballanj · 14/09/2018 16:41

@AssumeItWasSomethingClever hope your scan goes well today x

Gronk27 · 14/09/2018 17:05

My DH saw the Amazon Exho advert last night where the Mum has set loads of reminders for the Dad with the baby. He said 'oh you'll have to do that for me'. Hell no am I doing all the thinking!! I don't care if you're working full time if I'm not there (presumably because I'm having a break or working) you can use your brain Hmm Grin

Gronk27 · 14/09/2018 17:44

Just to say he is lovely and it was a lighthearted chat. Just my feisty feminism and hormones Grin

PurpleFlower1983 · 14/09/2018 18:01

@ladycarlotta I’m 16 weeks exactly today so don’t know if that’s a bit too early to feel things.
