I'm 9+2 today - we're all so close!

Wineandchoccy · 26/07/2018 16:13

thefirsttimer my scan is 16th August I will be 11 + 6 Shock

HidCat · 26/07/2018 16:51

@MoosterTheMoose low blood pressure is usually ok as long as you don't feel unwell. Keep an eye on it though. I bought a home blood pressure monitor a while back as I've always had low pressure and my doc had a bit of a panic when it dropped to 80/53 and I had a load of tests done. Nothing found to be a problem though.

Shampooeeee · 26/07/2018 17:05

9 weeks tomorrow for me! I've been having a lot of dizzy spells so I'm wondering if I've got low blood pressure or anemia or something. I guess I will find out at my first appointment on Tuesday.
Managed a good nap this afternoon after being awake most of the night and then getting up at the crack of dawn to work.
Sorry about your grandad ladycarlotta but that does make a lot of sense. I hope you get to take him your happy news very soon.

Angelmiracle · 26/07/2018 17:20

I'll be so jealous of you all getting your dating scans done but I'll not be far behind at the start of Sept! I hate wishing my life away but just want to see our baby and tell everyone!! I might tell my best friend soon.

Rockmum30 · 26/07/2018 19:12

Hey first post here but been reading lots of posts. Got a bfp on tues after ttc for 20 months this is our clomid baby #3 for me but #1 for my partner. I've no symptoms really apart from sore boobs but because it's taken us so long I'm terrified something is going to go wrong! I have a scan booked for a week on Monday will be 7w1d. Can someone add me to the Facebook group please my name on there is Stacy Driver pic of me and bf at coliseum :)

Murphyrocks · 26/07/2018 19:27

Hi @Rockmum30, massive congrats on your bfp after such a long wait! I've just sent you a friend request, once you accept it I'll add you to the group.

@Olivia2019 sounds like you might be the furthest along! I'm due 4th March after the scan yesterday.

Been feeling totally awful today, and on top of it ds has been a total terrible two and I just haven't had the energy or patience to deal with it! I have nandos delivery on the way though so silver lining! Off camping tomorrow, really hope I don't feel too bad stuck in a tent in the rain!

Wineandchoccy · 26/07/2018 19:33

Murphyrocks Nando’s delivery??Shock I wish I lived where you do

Wineandchoccy · 26/07/2018 19:35

Welcome Rockmum30 congratulations

ladycarlotta · 26/07/2018 19:43

@MurphyRocks cor, Nandos delivery! Lovely! DP has been a total gem about cooking dinners since I'm so pooped lately, he is clattering about in the kitchen as I type. He's a great cook but our cupboard is a bit sparse and none of the ingredients quite seem to add up to a normal meal. Watch this space...

welcome @Rockmum30, and congratulations! That's a long old journey you've had.

ladycarlotta · 26/07/2018 19:45

oh, scrub that, he's just disregarded literally everything I said about what needed to be used up and what was being saved for specific meals when we have guests on the weekend. Must not be shitty about it. Argh.

Rockmum30 · 26/07/2018 19:53

@Murphyrocks thank you I've found it!

Murphyrocks · 26/07/2018 19:57

@Rockmum30 lovely all done!

@ladycarlotta and @Wineandchoccy it's pretty new but national I think, first time we've used it and worked really well! So full...

Wineandchoccy · 26/07/2018 20:03

Our nearest Nando’s is 40 mins away. I so want Nando’s now, 40mins isn’t to far to make DH drive is it Grin

Well done for telling them and hooray for random eating!
We went out for pizza. I inhaled my whole pizza and then “helped out” ds with his child sized one. Got to make the most of it when the sickness eases!

Angelmiracle · 26/07/2018 21:02

@Rockmum30 congratulations and welcome!

@ladycarlotta yeah my DH is doing everything wrong also - really will need to hold my tongue 🙊

@Badbadbeans the relief you must feel now they know!! That would be really hard not being yourself at home but I understand we lived at my parents when preg with DS.

Made chicken fajitas for the first in a few weeks. No longer one of my favourites the raw chicken and spices 😖 managed 1 small wrap it was the smell of cooking it was getting to me mostly!

ladycarlotta · 26/07/2018 21:22

@BadBadBeans I really try to avoid the 'aren't men daft!' narrative but... sometimes it's difficult. It was a pretty nice dinner in the end, so no harm done. Glad you told the in-laws and glad they were enthusiastic! That must be a huge weight off your mind.

@angelmiracle mmm I'll see the fajitas off if you don't want them. The aversions are weird and a bit annoying - we have had a freezer full of mini magnums since the start of the heatwave that I just do. not. want.

puravida31 · 26/07/2018 21:29

It’s annoying isn’t it @ladycarlotta I’ve gone right off fish & bacon, both of which are normally staple ingredients in our house. But give me a ham sandwich any time of day though!

What are people’s food hates & loves at the moment? Any random cravings yet?

HidCat · 26/07/2018 21:30

@Angelmiracle I had fajitas tonight too and now feeling awful coz the spices just aren't sitting right. Tasted so good though lol. Will be much happier when I have my head down in bed I think.

ladycarlotta · 26/07/2018 21:35

jelly babies seem to sort the nausea out a bit. I don't crave them but they definitely hit the spot.

I just want carbs all the time. Before getting pg I was having yogurt, fruit and nuts/seeds for breakfast, salads and veggies for lunch, but now I am SO basic. Rice crispies or All Bran or Fruit & Fibre. White muffins, cheese on toast, jacket potatoes, pasta, sourdough with marmite etc. I swear I was not that carby a person but now it's ALL I want.

And I never want chocolate any more. So weird.

ALRM · 26/07/2018 21:51

Gosh I can't keep up! Nausea has defo kicked in and this heat iskilling me. So not looking forward to habing tonwork outside next week!

how are you doing @SquirtlesMumAgain ? Thinking of you, hope the cramping has subsided

coastergirl · 26/07/2018 21:55

OK, I can't believe this is happening.

Tentatively joining you ladies at 4+6. Absolutely not planned!

I'm 34, have a 3 year old little boy who is crazy but awesome. Just over two years ago my husband left. I've been seeing someone since October but have felt totally unable to commit. However, we both really want more kids (he has boys aged 14 & 15) and now this has happened out of the blue. Ultimately, I know that he'll be supportive regardless of how our relationship turns out. And I just can't turn down the chance to be a mum again. I'm worried about a million things, mostly how my little boy will react because his speech and language is delayed and he might not understand what's going on. I was on the March 2015 thread when I had him and made some incredible friends. Maybe I'm only making March babies 😂 Anyway, I'm apparently due 29th March. Thought I was getting my period at the weekend but it was just spotting. I had lots of bleeding with my boy and had 2 early scans at the EPAU so I'm a bit more relaxed about it now. Also had gestational diabetes and horrendous antenatal depression. I had an ELCS due to many issues including a massive phobia of childbirth and the diabetes. Hoping for the same again.
