Thanks @MistakenHoliday! Have now announced to family and a few close friends so nice to have a few people that know and can give me some much needed sympathy!

@Orville82 hope all goes well with your appointment today, sounds like a right palaver!

@Squirtlesmumagain sorry to hear about the bleeding, have you out a pad on the keep track of volume? As you say brown is a good sign though.

It seems I still have my rat friend, it activated the trap I put down last night but seems to have evaded it. Now ds is playing on the living room floor which is really making me twitch knowing it's around somewhere. Unlikely to come near I know but still makes me nervous! Having the back door open as much of the day as possible in hopes it'll find it's way out, and door to the rest of the house closed so it can't get anywhere else. Not sure what else to do!

Angelmiracle · 26/07/2018 08:21

Hi everyone good to see you here! Could be #10 by time March comes around!

My boobs are that heavy and burning sensation feel like I could bf at any minute!!

Had to wear a soft stretchy gym bra to bed!

@SquirtlesMumAgain hope that was just one off and you don't see anymore hun x

Hi everyone, I posted last night on the similar pregnancy board thread, but have had no reply, so I thought I'd try here instead Smile. I'm currently 5+6 and due 22nd March 2019! This my second pregnancy, my first ended in mc at 7+1, and we have been ttc since then (about 2.5 yrs since first mc) so I'm extremely nervous and excited. We have just moved abroad and so I don't have any support network where I am (plus it's too early to share our news to family and friends), but on the plus side the private healthcare means I will automatically get a scan at my first OBgyn appt 😃. Anyway thought I would come and say hi!

Angelmiracle · 26/07/2018 08:41

Hi @zugmrs welcome! Firstly congratulations on your pregnancy you are due my birthday! And I'm due 24th!

I'm so sorry to hear of your mc 💐
I have DS took us 5years ttc this babe!

Aw that's fantastic about the private healthcare and early scan! Hopeful you've more perks throughout your pregnancy. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy 🤞

Morning ladies! Thread #3 already... anyone would think we have lots to talk about Wink

Hope everyone is managing in the heat. 2 more days til the weekend!!

Jadeelx · 26/07/2018 08:48

Thanks for the new thread. I just posted in the old one saying that the high today will be 36 here in London, I’m supposed to have things to do today with DS but I don’t know how I’m going to manage without melting out there!

Sarahandduckarehigh · 26/07/2018 08:52

Checking in.

I've been feeling grim all morning. Got back from dropping DS at nursery (working from home today) and ate a whole grapefruit. Now I feel much better!

Hope everyone is coping okay in the heat.

BadBadBeans · 26/07/2018 09:01

@Bluebelltulip thank you; that is reassuring.

@Squirtlesmumagain Very sorry to hear that. If it's any comfort then I don't think the EPU would see you if it was brown blood anyway; certainly last time my midwife only referred me when I had red blood. I hope it settles down.

MistakenHoliday · 26/07/2018 09:05

Hi @zugmrs ! Welcome to the gang!

Had my midwife booking in appointment yesterday and can't get over how much has changed in just four years! The midwife saw how sick I was and told me to see the GP about some anti-sickness tablets. I'll see how I go today and make an appointment - we're on holiday next week and I don't want to feel this awful while we're away!

I'm taking DD geocaching today and am hoping the fresh air will do me some good 🤢

DannyWallace · 26/07/2018 09:20

Checking in too!
Hi everyone! Lovely to see you all here.
8+1 for me today 😮❤️❤️

HidCat · 26/07/2018 09:23

@SquirtlesMumAgain hopefully it's just left over implantation blood and nothing to worry about.

@zugmrs welcome and congratulations! Keeping everything crossed for you this time around.

@MistakenHoliday what is geocaching?

TheOneWithTheBaby · 26/07/2018 09:31

I told my mum today. She cried happy tears which isn't really like her! She is so excited! I know it's early days but she is just so supportive I had to tell her. I cried because she cried.

ladycarlotta · 26/07/2018 09:32

@zugmrs congratulations and welcome! I'm a migrant from the other March thread; don't know if it's basically merged into this one or what, but we definitely seem to be the more active now. That's great you get a private scan, I am honestly LIVING for scans rn. Allay the anxiety for all of 20 minutes...

RachaelT · 26/07/2018 09:43

I'm 9 weeks tomorrow and myself and DH have noticed my tummy is firm and starting to swell, the only people that seem to be showing this early are those with a DC already, which we do not.

Does anyone know if an earlier pregnancy would have the same effect or do you have to have gone full term and quite recently? Just curious if the fact I got to 14 weeks about 15 years ago will have this effect?

MistakenHoliday · 26/07/2018 09:51

@HidCat it's like a treasure hunt! You download the app on your phone and it sends out GPS signals from hidden caches that you have to go and find. They usually have little bits and bobs in them that people leave. Completely free and a bit of an adventure Smile

Having said that, DD's dad has just taken her to find some sharks (!) in the woods so it may have to wait until tomorrow. No that I'm complaining: I've got my feet up in an empty house and IT IT HEAVEN.

Murphyrocks · 26/07/2018 09:53

@RachaelT that is interesting, I didn't really start showing until about halfway through last time but I'm already a bit rounder now because my uterus is already stretched out. But can't imagine just a first trimester would have the same effect? Not sure tbh!

zugmrs · 26/07/2018 10:02

Thanks @Angelmiracle, I'm trying to keep positive, I think the baseline scan (April) and HSG (May) plus a 10kg weight loss (over three months( has helped us to conceive in June - so I'm hoping this will mean I'm in it for the long haul this time!

Hi @MistakenHoliday, @HidCat and @ladycarlotta - I'm still haven't called to make any appts yet, I'm working my way up to that (I don't want to jinx anything) - maybe next week! The private insurance is great, you do not have to wait for anything and if you need any extra help the professionals will have no problem prescribing/referring you (as we'll be paying for everything we use) but we have to pay the excess for the year (a bit like car insurance), keep a good handle on all the bills to pass onto the insurer, plus we'll have to get the baby insurance before they're born to make sure we can get the full cover in case there are any complications - a lot more to think about!Grin

Welcome zugmrs and congratulations you must be thrilled but terrified after ttc for so long.
I have a dd who is 3 but it took us just over 2 years to conceive and a mmc and then it has took us 10 months this time so that feeling that it has finally happened is amazing.

Velcro88 · 26/07/2018 10:30

Checking in to our 3rd thread; amazing!

@BadBadBeans I can't imagine how hard that is to keep it secret whilst you're sharing a home. No privacy/easy excuse for when you want to stuff your face with something weird, or nap, or cry... I'm impressed with your resolve! Are you going for an early scan? A picture would take choosing the right words away from you and might make it easier, but if you're not going for the early scan maybe can you show them your BFP?? It's big news to share and I'm sure once you have they will be able to provide more support and understanding for when you need to...just...be pregnant!

MistakenHoliday · 26/07/2018 10:34

@BadBadBeans DH told my in laws at the weekend after I abandoned a house party at 9pm and went to bed! By the time I got up in the morning, events has taken place that meant our news was a little lost in the melee Smile

It's so hard though because you just want someone to understand why you're acting a bit loopy!

zugmrs · 26/07/2018 10:43

Congratulations to you @wineandchoccy, 10 months is that time when you know it's still within the average, but it seems like forever and still a way before you can head to the docs for any tests!

I'm happy and excited, but still cautious. The ttc for that long was hard, especially when all the tests suggested there was no physical reason (we conceived the first time within 3 months). Just two weeks ago we were starting to look at private clinics for ivf so we wouldn't have to start all the testing process where we have moved to! I'm just hopeful, I am doing everything I can to make sure my diet, exercise and stress levels are optimal and trying to not over analyse every twinge

Angelmiracle · 26/07/2018 11:23

@zugmrs such a similar situation to me. Had internal ultrasound in March and HSG in May and I lost 14lb since Easter! Next step was SA so DH got off light 😉 Also trying to keep stress at a minimum.

OP posts:
zugmrs · 26/07/2018 11:55

I think it's the magic of the HSG @Angelmiracle Grin, my specialist said that the chances of conception after were higher for three months following the procedure (although there were no studies to show why). It's funny how different Trusts do things in different order, my dh had SA in August and Oct (the 2nd was a repeat due to some levels being lower than ideal) last year before we were referred to our specialist!

wordsmithereens · 26/07/2018 12:13

@mostimproved You're welcome! Hoping you're over the worst of it now, but feel free to vent whenever if it helps. Have never used Headspace myself but heard lot of really good things about it.

Sickness seems to have taken another turn for the worse here, spent morning dry retching again. :( Lots of sleep does help a little though, so I'm grateful I'm off work. Would really love something other than yellow carbs at some point though...
