Hello everyone! I thought I'd start a thread for babies due in April 2019 as I couldn't see an existing post for it.

I'm 29
I have a DS who is 12 months
Due 3 April with DC2

I'm only 3+2 so extremely early! I can't quite believe it but I got a line on a test at 8dpo, and the line is getting darker. I'm very excited, but also very nervous.

Anyone getting nausea at night? Stomach churning here 6+1 . Awaiting my second hcg blood results tomoz it was 681 at 4wks+ 5 days . Xoxox

AmyRhodes · 20/08/2018 22:20

Hoping everyone's nausea isn't too bad!

On the flip side, I'm having no symptoms at all. I know I should count myself lucky, but sometimes I get anxious about the fact that I really don't feel pregnant!

lolacola13 · 20/08/2018 22:27

@AmyRhodes don't worry hun I have only had two or three sicky moments and I'm over six weeks I don't feel preg either it is unnerving I feel ya sister xoxoxox

Kelsoid · 20/08/2018 22:35

Hi everyone! Totally missed this thread...I'm 7+4, due 4th April with my first little one :)

Had an ectopic a few years ago so I'm obviously freaking out about everything! I had a scan last week after a bit of pain and bleeding...huge sigh of relief that everything is in the right place and we even saw a little heartbeat! Reassured for now but I don't think the stress ever really goes away 🙄

hailstone1 · 21/08/2018 04:01

Morning all
For the people who are having bad signs, you're in my thoughts and sending virtual hugs
Nice to meet you newcomers.

Insomnia is still going strong here. 😥 I'm trying to do as much as I was doing before and I'm knackered. Even my neighbour is commenting on how tired I look. I'll be putting make up on today 😔 Other symptoms are coming and going.
I went mad Sunday wondering if we could really afford to have a baby. Trying to work out maternity pay etc...still don't understand it and what other help we might get. Looking forward to October when I can discuss with my mum. She understands these things better than I do. I know we can afford it. Just my mind going cuckoo I guess.
I was lying here thinking how lonely pregnancy would be without these forums. there are all the signs that things might be going wrong and noone in person to talk to because of trying to keep it quiet incase things go wrong. I'm so lucky you're all here to talk to.
Has anyone else's baby brain kicked in. I can no longer complete a sentence or get the milk out if the fridge without forgetting 3 times what I was doing. I wish I'd done this only the once but nope...
Apologies for the length of the post. I tend to babble when I'm tired.
Off to try and get a little more sleep
Xx

Morning all. The most bloody that there's been this morning and a dull stomach ache. I work 3 days a week, would it be OTT to take today and tomorrow off and rest while I have the change as DS will be at nursery? Or should I just get on with it? I don't know what to do for the best really.

@hailstone1 I had the same breakdown with DS, sat in frankie and bennys with my mum after pram shopping, sobbing that I would never afford all the things he needs or live of maternity pay.. but we did, and it all works out!

DartmoorDoughnut · 21/08/2018 07:22

@SPR1107 sorry to hear that, hopefully it’s just the last of it clearing out before everything settles down and your pregnancy continues nice and uneventfully Flowers personally I’d take the time off, particularly if DS is at nursery so you can properly rest bless you.

Still a bit of bleeding this morning BUT feeling nauseous and have a stitch like pain in my ribs which I’ve had in previous pregnancies but never this early normally when baby was making everything stretch?! Maybe everything is just stretchier this time around? Not feeling too positive but trying to stay positive if that makes sense

Fluffy475 · 21/08/2018 07:25

@SPR1107 I would take the time off and rest, you're entitled and it sounds like you need it.

If there's one thing I've learnt is that no one can afford children (apart from the stupidly rich) you just make it happen. It's a lot easier than it once was now it's become the norm to recycle and sell etc. the amount of kit that's available out there is unreal. The only advice I would give is be realistic. No child will ever remember they were sat in A £1k pram or dressed in Armani baby grows. It's all about the need and not the look. Save it for when they're older and it really does get expensive 😊😊

SPR1107 · 21/08/2018 07:41

Sorry to hear that you're still suffering too @DartmoorDoughnut. The midwife said to me yesterday that the reason they don't take bleeding so seriously is because it's so common before 12 weeks, that's why they wait until then to scan also.. so just holding on to that.

Husband being a pain in the arse... keeps brushing it off and expecting me just to carry on as per without a care in the world. He has an annoyingly positive outlook sometimes!

italianwifey · 21/08/2018 07:54

@amyrhodes I’ve got a similar issue - keep having days where I have no symptoms at all after days of feeling sick then worrying that something has gone wrong, I feel a bit like I’m going mad! Burst into tears while washing up yesterday for no reason whatsoever.
@dartmoordoughnut I read somewhere that if you’re not a first time Mum that things happen more quickly like showing etc, so would make sense if your body is remembering what to do and springing into action quicker than last time?
Hope you’re okay @spr1107 Flowers

zarala · 21/08/2018 08:26

@SPR1107 so glad to hear the scan went well! What a relief! But did definitely take it easy for the next few days....fx for you

@DartmoorDoughnut hopefully it's nothing serious!

@littleemma1 congrats!!! I recognise you from the TTC after loss threads... I'm 4w 1d- so we're very close! Nice to have a buddy to go through this! And yes I have also been cramping quite a lot and feeling periody - emotional and bloated and eugh...hoping it's a good sign!

@TheMagicTorch me too! Stomach alll over the place - so unsexy!

littleemma1 · 21/08/2018 09:08

Awwww @zarala congrats to you too!!!
🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 For sticky beans xxx

sachabloom · 21/08/2018 10:03

I've been booked in for an early scan tomorrow as I've been bleeding and had cramping on one side.
I'm 6 weeks 2 days to my knowledge, any idea what I should hope to see tomorrow?

Really frightened now xx

SPR1107 · 21/08/2018 10:08

@sachabloom don't set your heart on the date. I thought I was 6w 3d when I had my scan yesterday, but they dated me back.
If when you get there they're unable to properly determine an age or heartbeat, it could just be because you're not as far along as you thought. Yesterday they told me I was 5w 5d, I could see a teeny tiny dot pulsating, but at 6w exactly with my first, I could see a heartbeat clearly. So a few days can make all the difference... so if you don't see what you hoped to, it could just be a dating error

TheMagicTorch · 21/08/2018 11:15

@zarala 😂 I totally didn't expect it as a symptom! Between being exhausted, bloated, sore boobs and dodgy tummy I feel decidedly unsexy, and I'm only 5+2.

Hopefully will feel better soon. At least my skin has cleared up, and I'm so happy to have a good reason to feel rubbish.

wellthatwasunexpected · 21/08/2018 13:13

Can I sidle in and add my name to the list please 😳

As per the username, this was an unexpected surprise and will be DC3. Current dates (from day of last period) bits me at 4+5, although both of mine finally made an appearance at 40+7, so I sort of hope this one does too, given that current EDD is the day before DC2's birthday 😳 if I do go to 40+7 it would send us in to May.

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 21/08/2018 17:42

Not sure how I can keep this a secret for the next month or so, I nearly vomited at the table with a friend today Envy that’s a vom face.
I need to cook dinner but all I want to do is sleep and eat all the carbs!

DartmoorDoughnut · 21/08/2018 17:48

Someone will want to start a new thread soon this one is almost full Smile

I am up and down like a yo-yo, spotting is still on going but I’d say it’s definitely spotting not bleeding however first lot of bloods have come back and hcg is only 40 which is pretty low, still within range though, another blood test tomorrow and should know on Thursday afternoon what those results are. Will have a bottle of wine in the fridge in case it’s bad news and luckily that is when my DH is home so I can finally have a cuddle too!

Hope everyone is doing ok and your little ones aren’t causing you as much trouble! Even if they aren’t early pregnancy is a total limbo land so sending cups of tea all round Brew

sachabloom · 21/08/2018 17:53

I've started us a new thread, April 2019 babies continued Smile

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 21/08/2018 18:07

I can’t see it sachabloom can you post the link?

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 21/08/2018 18:17

It’s in pregnancy rather than antenatal :) that’s why I couldn’t find it x

AmyRhodes · 21/08/2018 19:45

@lolacola13 @italianwifey

It's unnerving isn't it? But I've not had any symptoms subside - I've genuinely never had any, apart from slightly tender boobs and I've managed to convince myself that's my imagination.

Really won't believe it until I'm looking at it on a scan.

Newbie2703 · 22/08/2018 04:48

What a busy day yesterday was ! Told my boss and it actually went really well, he was very supportive. The exchanged contracts so ready to move on Friday eeeeek. On my way to the early scan threw up all over the car dash/foot well and me ! So had to squeeze into the tiniest jeans I found in my boot Blush that I could not do up. But all good in the end Grin my dates were also exactly right which I didn't think they would be 25th March! Hope you don't mind me staying got a feeling we will be late they said we have a very lazy baby !
