April 2019 Babies

Hello everyone! I thought I'd start a thread for babies due in April 2019 as I couldn't see an existing post for it.

I'm 29
I have a DS who is 12 months
Due 3 April with DC2

I'm only 3+2 so extremely early! I can't quite believe it but I got a line on a test at 8dpo, and the line is getting darker. I'm very excited, but also very nervous.

@treaclepie19 that’s brilliant news so happy for you!

Thinking of you @dartmoordoughnut I hope that it is nothing to worry about and all is okay.
@hailstone1 I was a bit like that last week, it’s weird isn’t it. Although the tiredness then knocked me back later on.
Is anyone finding one day they have symptoms and the next they don’t? Keep trying not to worry but don’t feel sick at all today!

DartmoorDoughnut · 17/08/2018 15:12

Thanks all Flowers it’s not progressed into anything serious yet but it’s still VERY unnerving! I think it’s almost stressing me out more because I’ve never had it before IYSWIM? If I’d had a bleed in both previous pregnancies it would be my normal but because I haven’t I’m ridiculously stressed that something is wrong Sad BUT I don’t have any cramping and it’s only when I wipe really rather than lots on the pad (sorry TMI!!) so fingers crossed it’s just some old blood and that it buggers off ASAP!

The midwives say it sounds ‘normal’ so no scan.

Glad your scan went well @treaclepie19 Smile

edinburghdancer · 17/08/2018 15:27

So sorry to hear of further losses. It’s so heartbreaking but I’m keeping fingers crossed for little rainbows soon.
@DartmoorDonught - I bled on and off for the first 7 weeks of my first pregnancy, even heavily a couple of times which scared me senseless! Nothing so far this pregnancy and all my symptoms are different. Every pregnancy is different so keeping fingers crossed for you too.

Treaclepie19 · 17/08/2018 15:41

Thank you everyone :)
@DartmoorDoughnut I didn't have bleeding with my son and did with the miscarriage so I was sure it would be bad news.
Fingers crossed for you!

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 17/08/2018 16:33

So pleased for you @treaclepie!!

I’ve just arrived on hols and the WiFi is very weak - won’t load fb at all. No mobile signal so I’m looking forward to some screen free time but I may need to check out for a bit!

Fluffy475 · 17/08/2018 17:25

@DartmoorDoughnut hope everything's ok. My friend had a bad bleed for a few days with her 3rd pg and everything was ok, no explanation just the body can be odd sometimes!! Just keep an eye and if it gets heavier and you get cramping then give them a call back xx

seeingdots · 17/08/2018 17:55

Great news @Treaclepie19! Hope the bleeding stops soon @DartmoorDoughnut to put your mind at ease.

sachabloom · 17/08/2018 20:16

So sorry to read about the ladies who have had losses. I really hope you are doing as ok as can be and wish you all the best next time xxx

DartmoorDoughnut · 17/08/2018 21:07

Thank you so much for all your support today, really meant a lot as DH is away and uncontactable so he doesn’t even know I’m - hopefully! - pregnant!

TMI but the last two visits to the loo have been blood free so I’m hopeful and will see what tomorrow brings.

Thanks again you lovely lot Flowers

SPR1107 · 17/08/2018 21:18

Really sorry for those of you that have had bad news.

For others that are experiencing bleeds, I had two in my first pregnancy, once being at 6 weeks, and being a large volume of blood (to the point I thought I'd wet myself), went on for 3 days solidly... and that baby is two next weekend. I know not the case for everyone, but hopefully similar for some of you.

How are you not climbing the walls not being about to tell DH @DartmoorDoughnut. How long have you not been able to contact him for?

Rebe22a · 18/08/2018 01:16

Hey, just joining in now. Got my bfp on the 5th, now 5+3, due on 17th April. Super excited but doesn't feel real yet! I'm lucky being in Scotland we get given our booking in app and scan app at the same time, seems a long wait though. Saw some comments about not wearing underwired bras, why is this? My boobs are far less sore when I've got my bra on! X

DartmoorDoughnut · 18/08/2018 07:02

@SPR1107 it’s only been a couple of weeks and he’s back next weekend so not too bad, nothing he could do even if he were here tbf but I’d quite like some time off and with a 3yr old, a 1yr old and two dogs it’s rather full on 😁

A tiny brown/red but on wiping this morning but nothing on pad so fingers firmly crossed all is ok.

@Rebe22a it’s to do with the breastfeeding tissue and effecting milk ducts. As long as your bra is correctly fitted you should be ok - check your Boob or Bust measurements! - I find the M&S bralets fantastically supportive though

NorthernGirl1991 · 18/08/2018 09:46

Morning everyone, I was feeling pretty anxious as my symptoms have settled down a bit so booked an early scan for this morning with BabyBond. I was expecting to need an internal, but the woman found the baby with the external scanner within about 10 seconds and it’s got a good strong heartbeat. It was a big relief as the whole thing had been feeling a bit surreal. Just thought I’d share my experience in case it was helpful for anyone else.

BeeKeeping · 18/08/2018 10:28

That’s great news @NortherGirl1991 how far along are you?

I’ve got my scan tomorrow, I’ll be 7+2 excited/nervous as my symptoms have settled down too

NorthernGirl1991 · 18/08/2018 10:46

@BeeKeeping They said I’m 6+5, so you should be able to see even more than me! I completely understand being nervous - I’ve been a wreck! I hope it goes well for you tomorrow! Smile

TheMagicTorch · 18/08/2018 11:18

@NorthernGirl1991 eek that's lovely. Congratulations! I have a babybond scan booked in two weeks time when I'll be 7+1 but it seems ages away so I was thinking about changing it to next weekend (6w or 6+1) xx

organised5 · 18/08/2018 11:26

I think I've added everyone to the fb group who has messaged me so let me know if you're still waiting for an invite. And if you haven't yet asked to join then just PM me your email addy!

Sorry to hear those who have had bad news xxx

Treaclepie19 · 18/08/2018 12:02

Lovely news @NorthernGirl1991! :)

It feels like such a long wait now until my 12 week scan. Not that I even know when it will be! I just hope little one is still okay by then.

donna474 · 18/08/2018 14:05

@organised5 I don't know how to PM but my email address is [email protected] if you could add me please x

Firsttimemama88 · 18/08/2018 16:29

Hi ladies!
Hope you don’t mind me joining this thread... my first baby is due 19th April 2019 and we are over the moon!

claireymacd · 18/08/2018 17:12

Welcome @Firsttimemama88! Congratulations! We're due around the same time and I'm a first time mama too!

DartmoorDoughnut · 18/08/2018 18:00

On the downside I’m still bleeding, on the upside it’s still only on wiping, on the downside I’m going to the loo constantly to check, on the upside I managed to get a hold of DH and let him know what’s going on, on the downside I’m now experiencing a bit of discomfort, think it might be stretching but worried it could be cramps ...

So yeah essentially I’m a mess and I can’t get an early scan so just have to wait and see.

Hope everyone else is ok Flowers

Firsttimemama88 · 18/08/2018 18:03

Hi @claireymacd, congratulations to you too! How are you feeling? It’s really hit me this week, I feel so tired it’s insane! Camped out on the sofa this weekend for sure ☺️

italianwifey · 18/08/2018 18:10

Sorry to hear that @dartmoordoughnut must be so hard dealing with this while your DP is away. Have you got anyone nearby for support? When is he back?

SPR1107 · 18/08/2018 18:37

Anyone else feel like they're sooooo tired but their body just won't switch off? All day I feel like I could fall asleep walking, get in bed and wide awake!
DS was up teething from 4-6 this morning, so really tired today!

Oh no @DartmoorDoughnut, when is your scan due?
