April 2019 Babies

LulaRose · 20/07/2018 11:16

Hello everyone! I thought I'd start a thread for babies due in April 2019 as I couldn't see an existing post for it.

I'm 29
I have a DS who is 12 months
Due 3 April with DC2

I'm only 3+2 so extremely early! I can't quite believe it but I got a line on a test at 8dpo, and the line is getting darker. I'm very excited, but also very nervous.

@SPR1107 rest up tonight and try and not worry and go into EPU tomorrow
Keep us posted- Fx it's just what you do and everything is perfect in there!

SPR1107 · 19/08/2018 22:33

We don't have an EPU, I just had a look, we have a Fetal Health Unit, so I'm guessing that would be the department?

I'll ring GP first thing as a starting block, if I don't get anywhere with them, I'll try A&E, all else fails, I'll pay for a private scan. I would rather see someone at the hospital though.

I'm a rubbish liar, I think I'll just say to work, that it's personal reasons that I would prefer not to disclose currently, hopefully they'll accept that.

Thanks for your advice @zarala

Hello! I’m new to mumsnet and this thread - hopefully I’m not too late to the party!

Have taken 6 pregnancy tests across a few brands (just to be sure!) I’m definitely pregnant and going by the online calculations, due 22nd April with my first.

It’s taken two years to get to this stage so super excited but also absolutely terrified!!

ThriftyMcThrifty · 19/08/2018 22:49

Hello, tentatively joining the April group. I think my due date should be April 27, though haven’t been to see doctor yet. I’m 37 (38 in November) and this will be baby three if things go well. I have a 7 and 3 year old. Have read about half the thread, and going to try and finish the rest tomorrow. My only symptom so far is shortness of breathe, I keep getting winded doing the lightest of exercise.

Thattwatoverthere · 19/08/2018 23:54

Can I join in? I got my BFP today and EDD at 24th April. I've got a 6 month old baby already who will be around 15 months when I'm due so I wasn't expecting this quite so soon! I'm 38 nearly and want to complete my family by 40 so it seems that luckily my body is aware of this 😂

I'm very nervous that something could go wrong though due to a MMC in 2016 so I'm hoping to be referred for an early scan when I call the GP.

Sorry to see the losses so far Thanks

Proseccopanda · 20/08/2018 06:55

@zarala, I'm on progesterone pessaries, so they're going in the front door. I have to do 2 twice a day til I'm 10wks. Cannot wait til I can stop them! Wind hasn't been a side effect for me, but I know a lot of ladies who have suffered a bit even inserting them vaginally.

Congrats to those who have had good scans, looking forward to mine tomorrow and getting to see little niece or nephew to be. I'm 7+1 today and have next to no symptoms (just sore boobs), so it'll be nice to have confirmation that I am actually pregnant.

DartmoorDoughnut · 20/08/2018 07:26

@Ceallaigh yay a due date buddy!

@Mejse hi I saw your thread on TCB I think, congratulations! Obvs I’m not “out” yet though!

No bleeding for about 12hrs and I’m feeling nauseous and sweating like a crazy thing - pregnancy makes me so ridiculously hot! So I’m feeling very hopeful today. Planning on phoning the drs when hey open and requesting a hcg blood test to be done today and Wednesday to check levels are rising, as I’m too early for a scan this is the only thing I can think of doing to check.

Treaclepie19 · 20/08/2018 07:29

@SPR1107 I would give the doctors a miss. They fobbed me off too. I'd either ring 111 for advice and see where they send you or ring your local gynae/EPU bit and see what they will do. You're in a good position being 6 weeks because they can actually scan you.

Treaclepie19 · 20/08/2018 07:29

Posted too soon! Hopefully its just one of those things and all will be okay Flowers

DartmoorDoughnut · 20/08/2018 07:32

@SPR1107 just tell work it’s gynae problems, pretty much guarantee they won’t ask any questions and you won’t be lying Flowers hopefully it’s just your “normal” 6 week bleed x

AmyRhodes · 20/08/2018 08:15

Hello to new posters and so sorry to those who have had losses 🌺

I'm now 6+1 and have decided to go for an early scan. This is because my main anxiety seems to be discovering a missed miscarriage at the 12 week scan. So I've booked in with an early one at 8 weeks, hoping to see a heartbeat.

Now I'm into my 7th week with no symptoms and I am feeling quite nervy!

Hope everyone else is well xx

Mejse · 20/08/2018 08:21

Welcome and congrats to all the new posters. Thinking of those who are having a worrying time at the moment.

@DartmoorDoughnut yes that would be me, don't worry I can't remember who was who on the old threads at this point. So glad the bleeding has stopped and things are looking up for you.

I did another test this morning and the line is much stronger, I'm starting to let myself feel hopeful now. My boobs are still the only symptom so far but it's still very early days yet. We live outside the UK, if I remember rightly from last time I have to see the nurse at my gp first before I can be referred to a midwife.

Does anyone else have an older child to tell? Dss is 10 and lives with us. He was so excited last time but I'm worried he won't be so pleased this time round

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 20/08/2018 09:06

Mejse I have 8 year old twins to tell, they love babies so I’m sure they’ll be very excited but I want to wait until I’ve had a scan before telling them.
My boobs are killing though, the slightest brush & I wince. My last pregnancy I was very ill but it was twins, I’m really nervous in case it’s another multiple pregnancy even though the odds aren’t that high.

Anyone else desperate to tell people? It’s going to be so hard for me.
SPR definitely call in sick, I think my last pregnancy weeks 8-10 were the worst for me, I ended up getting signed off work.
Totally relate to the falling aslepp at work, there were times where I did a 14 hour sleep at the weekends just to catch up!

SheRaTheAllPowerful · 20/08/2018 09:08

Fingers crossed for you SPR and I hope the dr refers you straight away for peace of mind x

TheMagicTorch · 20/08/2018 09:23

@AmyRhodes That's a big worry of mine too, I just want to see a little heartbeat and be reassured.
I'm 5+1 and have booked a private scan when I'll be 7 weeks so it'll probably around the same time as yours - hopefully we will see a little heartbeat and healthy bean!
xx

SPR1107 · 20/08/2018 10:03

Thanks for the support everyone. Just got back from the GP, and they've referred me to the hospital with suspected Ectopic. Got an appointment at 2pm, hoping for the best!

Treaclepie19 · 20/08/2018 10:05

@SPR1107 fingers crossed for you. Let us know how you get on x

TheMagicTorch · 20/08/2018 10:09

@SPR1107 Fingers crossed lovely, good luck x

donna474 · 20/08/2018 10:12

@SPR1107 fingers and toes crossed for you c

EmilyGilmoresCocktailTrolley · 20/08/2018 10:20

@SPR1107 Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏼🤞🏼

EmilyGilmoresCocktailTrolley · 20/08/2018 10:28

@Mejse We have a DD3 who I'd love to tell but she is quite the chatterbox so need to leave it until we're happy for the world and his wife to be aware 🙈.

She also was so excited and then quite confused when her brother was stillborn so we want to tread carefully this time. As soon as I get a proper tummy I know she'll start asking questions so it may depend how soon I show. Just keeping everything crossed things progress well from here. We have an early scan next week and then they offer the NIPT as standard here which is great. So many milestones!

Ceallaigh · 20/08/2018 11:00

Keeping fingers crossed and sending positive thoughts your way! X

AmyRhodes · 20/08/2018 11:49

@TheMagicTorch Yeah I just don't feel like I can fully believe it's happening until I see that little heartbeat!

Let me know how it goes xx

DartmoorDoughnut · 20/08/2018 12:41

Walked to the shops with the boys and bleeding has started again Sad on the sofa feeling v sorry for myself but I can’t do nothing for 9months so I guess if it isn’t meant to be I’ll just have to deal with it.

Hope you’re getting on ok @SPR1107

TheMagicTorch · 20/08/2018 13:03

@AmyRhodes Totally understand.

I still find it so weird that a medical professional hasn't confirmed it yet, like they've just taken my word for it 🙈
