Hello everyone! I thought I'd start a thread for babies due in April 2019 as I couldn't see an existing post for it.

I'm 29
I have a DS who is 12 months
Due 3 April with DC2

I'm only 3+2 so extremely early! I can't quite believe it but I got a line on a test at 8dpo, and the line is getting darker. I'm very excited, but also very nervous.

I'm out - feeling ok as had been in limbo since Sunday when bleeding started and at least now I know. Onwards! Wishing you all smooth and healthy pregnancies and lots of lovely April babies to come!
Thanks

Footymum81 · 16/08/2018 19:39

So sorry to hear some of you have had bad news, thinking of you all
I've got my first doctors appointment next week (7+5) and my dating scan appointment has come through for sept 25 (12+3)

Re cetirizine, I asked my step-sister (midwife) as I take it for various allergies and she said that it's something they prescribe for OC during the third trimester, based on that I chose to continue taking it but at a lower dose than before.

Beaglemum93 · 16/08/2018 20:01

Good luck @Treaclepie19 ! Xxxx

DartmoorDoughnut · 17/08/2018 09:23

I’m bleeding Sad not much but I didn’t bleed in my two previous pregnancies so I don’t think it’s good news. Waiting a call back from midwives and hopefully they’ll give me an early scan so I know what’s happening.

Beaglemum93 · 17/08/2018 09:45

@DartmoorDoughnut fingers crossed everything is ok!

Rapunzel91 · 17/08/2018 10:13

@Dartmoor fingers crossed for you, I’ve read somewhere that it’s very common to bleed in pregnancy and there’s nothing wrong, I hope that give some reassurance Flowers

I’m 6 weeks today and it really feels like a milestone for some reason! My main issue (which really isn’t much of an issue!) is that my skin is absolutely awful! I’ve got so many spots, it’s really killing my self esteem! I had to go on medication for my skin a few years ago as it was so bad and nothing I did helped. After about 6 months on the meds my skin became flawless and I felt so good about myself. Now it’s even worse than it was then! Sorry for the self-centred rant, I needed to get it out!

@TheMagicTorch I have no idea how to PM on here but my email address is [email protected]

Treaclepie19 · 17/08/2018 11:24

@DartmoorDoughnut i hope it settles down for you Flowers

I've just got back. All is well so far and we saw a tiny little heartbeat ❤
Dated me 3 days behind but obviously it's so early.
I can't quite believe it after the bleeding. I was so sure there would be nothing there.

Gem7lou · 17/08/2018 11:57

I’m the 15th I’ve been offline a few days I’ll read back and catch up x

monkerina · 17/08/2018 12:01

@treaclepie yaaaaayyyyy!!! I've been thinking of you all morning, thrilled for you ❤️

So sorry to hear other bad news. This process can be very cruel and unfair. Be kind to yourselves xx

AwkwardAsAllGetout · 17/08/2018 12:17

@treaclepie19 that’s such good news! I too was shocked to see a heartbeat. @dartmoordougnut, that’s two of us who’ve had bleeding and so far everything’s ok, so please don’t automatically think the worst, though it’s hard not to x

Treaclepie19 · 17/08/2018 12:24

Thank you so much ❤
When she first looked it just looked like an empty sac and I thought "great, just like I thought" then a little heartbeat just popped up just as she said she may have to do an internal.

hailstone1 · 17/08/2018 13:13

@DartmoorDoughnut I hope everything is ok. When I spoke to my doctor she said bleeding is common. Fingers crossed for you

It's wierd. I'm 5 weeks today and it seems I'm already nesting. I'm not one to go mad on housework but the last few days I've had a need to start cleaning and go through cupboards. Anyone else like this?
I actually managed to get a bit more sleep last night which was nice.

Hope you're all well xx

claireymacd · 17/08/2018 13:31

Brilliant news! @Treaclepie19

AwkwardAsAllGetout · 17/08/2018 14:04

@hailstone1, totally with you on the nesting. I cleaned both bathrooms in my pjs as soon as I got up this morning as I couldn’t rest til it was done. And I had a HUGE toy clear out yesterday, so have an extra £100 in my pocket today as it all sold really well on Facebook. The extra space is wonderful, my dc tend to hang on to everything even long after it’s been outgrown so a clear out was well overdue, and they’ve had fun rediscovering the toys that we’re buried under other ones! Is anyone else already thinking about what they’ll need to buy? Dh is exceptionally tall and I have no idea what pram he’ll be comfortable pushing. I carried all 3 dc but I now have back problems so I’m not sure a sling is going to be practical this time round. And he said yesterday we may have to swap cars so I have room for everything we’ll need. Which is a relief as I won’t have to find something to fit in my tiny Corsa! It does mean I’ll have to get over my fear of parking our big car though Grin
