@Baby160P absolutely. Being anxious or stressed is not good for you or baby, so putting your mind at rest will make you feel much better!

somethingfromnothing · 20/07/2018 08:12

Just marking my place. 10 weeks today. After having so many early mc I never thought I’d reach double figures in weeks! Have our next early scan on Monday then it will be only 2 weejs until proper scan. With this morning sickness I feel like the days are dragging in though!

Fiep · 20/07/2018 08:13

@ Susannach I'm due 4th Feb. Still feeling queasy but not as bad as last week. My friend said hers stopped around 13 weeks. The end is in sight...

Baby160P · 20/07/2018 08:29

@DragonFlew exactly! I wish I could just enjoy and not panic xx

Since2016 · 20/07/2018 08:55

I didn't show till 20 weeks with DD but this time is a totally different story... 9 weeks and definitely have a bump. I wanted to wait till end of Aug to tell rest of team given other issues but may have to be earlier...

I'm MW led but will have ridiculous number of extra scans owing to other issues and DD health issues. Not until after 20 weeks though but then it's a bit full on. MW appts every 3 weeks this time too?

AliceRR · 20/07/2018 08:57

@susannach I am due 11 Feb (according to last period, haven’t had dating scan yet) and I have felt better this last week (week 10) - less nauseous and less exhausted but still wretching a bit from time to time and lightheaded...

It’s hard to know what to expect as I’ve read placenta is taking over some symptoms decrease but then I also read most women have the worst morning sickness at week 10! Everyone is different I suppose...

Leonora94 · 20/07/2018 09:28

I'm so excited for everyone! Such beautiful scan pics guys x

thismeansnothing · 20/07/2018 11:37

Had my booking in appointment this morning. MW said there's be no problems in me requesting and getting a planned section. So that's a big weight off. Got an early scan in a couple of hours too to make sure everything is where it should be.

smellsofelderberries · 20/07/2018 11:55

@Susannach I'm similar to @AliceRR, due the 12th and woke up this morning with actual energy! I wanted to get some chores done! I ate a proper breakfast! Felt sick again by lunch but had a great few hours there 😂

Decided to book in for another early scan on Monday when I should be 10+6 🙈 I had a referral from my GP which means I'll get about 1/3rd of the cost back from our healthcare system, so figured I may as well. Will be scan #3, and then will have our 12 week scan the following week right on 12 weeks. Feels a bit silly really as I know I'll probably want another scan between 12 and 20 weeks!

jeanzbeanz · 20/07/2018 12:22

@Susannach I'm due 4th and the last couple of days I have felt sooo much better. Hope I'm not speaking too soon, but I seem to have got my own personality back and have got enough energy to shower etc. Can't really judge whether the nausea is lifting as I'm on medication for that, but I've not been sick the last three mornings which is my longest period of not being sick, for the last month or so!

MakeLemonade · 20/07/2018 12:45

Seems like a lot of us in the same camp symptoms wise. I’ve booked a scan tomorrow as I’ve been feeling better for last few days! Hopefully just placenta taking over but got a lot going on aside from pregnancy - supposed to be exchanging on new house today and completing next Friday 😱 - and could do with the reassurance in one area at least.

Notquiteagandt · 20/07/2018 12:55

Has anyone seen a dieticion?

I have a letter through from the dietry team saying the EPU have reffered me over (have not said anything to me about it)

So I am some what confused.

Can only ashume it is due to me loosing weight due to my hyperemesis.

But still a mystery why tbh...

Baby160P · 20/07/2018 13:27

@MakeLemonade how far along are you?

I've booked one for the same reason!

AliceRR · 20/07/2018 14:17

Anyone else not had booking in appointment by 11 weeks?

I have not had new appointment yet and will be 11 weeks on Monday so won’t be before then now. Called Leeds midwives and they said they didn’t have my referral yet. GP said it was sent Monday. So they are going to check. Midwife admin person said they would probably do my booking in and scan on the same day which would probably be good...

I’m sure it’ll come next week but I just want that reassurance as I haven’t had an early scan.

Yakadee · 20/07/2018 14:31

Are any of you ladies planning (or have already been) on taking a sample with you to your scan? I can't remember if I did with my first and haven't had a letter for this one as they booked it over the phone so not sure whether I'm supposed to or not? Thanks xx

sagasleathertrousers · 20/07/2018 14:50

Hello, I was on under another name but ducked out with probs early on. Just had 12 weeks scan today and everything looks ok so far (fingers crossed) so wondering if I can join properly!

I'm 38 and baby number 2, due date 1 Feb.

sagasleathertrousers · 20/07/2018 14:52

I hadn't realised it could be up to two weeks before downs result, with my first baby hey gave the risk to us there and then! But that was the feral medical centre at kings so probably why. I've booked in for harmony test privately on Wednesday as I'm old and want to be sure, but now wish I'd had it earlier - never mind though.

Lookingforadvice123 · 20/07/2018 15:11

Lovely scans everyone!

Jealous of everyone coming to the end of the first trimester now, I've still got agessss at 8+3 (or 8+5 according to my scan on Wednesday but I'm sticking with my LMP dates until the dating scan).

I was due 2nd Jan with DS (although he was born Boxing Day) so was at the earlier end of the group, but current EDD with this bean is 26th Feb Confused

MakeLemonade · 20/07/2018 15:15

@Baby160P - I’m 9+5 my logical brain says it’s probably more of the placenta picking up the load but my irrational brain wants to check all is OK!

Baby160P · 20/07/2018 15:19

@MakeLemonade I'm a week behind you and also worried. I've booked a second early scan for Sunday. I say that but currently attempting to hold back being sick. How typical but I need some peace of mind xx

MrsY87 · 20/07/2018 15:29

Anyone else with other kids really struggling to do anything productive with them? I just have zero energy so am sat on the sofa watching them play or they are sat in front of the tv. I'm feeling really guilty as I feel like I should be making the most of this time before their worlds are turned upside down by the arrival of twins but I'm exhausted & feel so sick 😥

Also I'm really struggling with drinking, I'm not being that sick but really struggling to get fluids down me. Anyone found anything which is working for them?

Sorry for the negative post just really struggling today

Alicejj8x · 20/07/2018 15:33

@MrsY87
I know how you feel

I am a nanny so look after a 4year old
Girl
& twins who are a year and a half

Some
Days I feel ok and can do lots but others I have no energy at all! And now the school holidays have started I feel this may just get worse

Baby160P · 20/07/2018 15:34

@MrsY87 my symptoms aren't awful and have faded but I look after 4 children for a living and am trying my hardest to keep upbeat but they wanted to watch a film earlier and I found myself then feeling lethargic. I just got up and got on with house things and their dinner prep instead. Don't get my wrong I crash when I get home!!!

Baby160P · 20/07/2018 15:35

@Alicejj8x starting to think we're the same person as you're a nanny aswell 😂
