I'm 8+4

UndercoverLauren · 19/07/2018 21:54

I've got too much of a belly to be showing yet but it's definitely starting to feel hard and bulge a little.
First MW appointment tomorrow, hoping I get my scan date then.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 19/07/2018 22:00

Can anyone recommend a company that to the NIPT tests? I wouldn’t travel to London for it.. so it would need to be a nationwide conpany really..

Anyone that’s had one, would they mind telling me who they went through and whether they’d recommend them?

MakeLemonade · 19/07/2018 22:01

Checking in so I don’t lose you all!

bubblybrit · 19/07/2018 22:16

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking. I’ve not had mine yet - it’s on Saturday - but I have booked with Ultrasound Direct as it was recommended to me by my best friend who has had the NIPT with them for all 3 DCs

maxiflump1 · 19/07/2018 22:29

@Baby160P try not to worry (easier said than done I know!!) It's normal for symptoms to come and go. Many of us on this thread have had a totally lack of symptoms for a fe days before bam they hit again! Also remember the placenta starts doing its thing around 8-9 weeks so takes some of the pressure of your body. Good luck with you scan x

Thank you @maxiflump1 anxiety through the roof at the moment xx

Eden32 · 19/07/2018 23:48

Hi girls just moving over frm the other thread hope every1 is feeling good x

craftymum01 · 19/07/2018 23:53

Had my booking in appointment yesterday. I am consultant led now so have so many extra scans etc. Just a shame they don’t start before 12 weeks! Dating scan on 2nd aug which is my ds 2nd birthday.
I defo don’t have a bump yet, but I am very overweight (bmi 32) so I don’t think I will show properly until about 20 weeks

Picklesandpies · 20/07/2018 01:45

Hi @craftymum01 and everyone else,

I will be consultant led too (I've had my booking in but no consultant appointment yet). Mine is to do with previous thyroid issues - was hyperthyroid and had it removed. Looking in my notes it sort of looks like anyone consultant led has more scans - is that right?

I'm 11+2. 12 week scan a week on Monday.

craftymum01 · 20/07/2018 02:14

I believe so. I had a 2nd trimester loss so get about four extra scans and have a couple of extra appointments with the consultant

hayley013 · 20/07/2018 02:26

I'm showing a bit already, not gonna be able to keep it a secret until 9/08 which is when dating scan is, have a family wedding before that too so going to tell family sometime next week.

On that note, can't believe all the dating scans are coming round already, I'll be 13w at mine so feels like we've waited foreverrr.

@Koalatom1 I pm'd you about joining group, did you get it? X

I'm cons led, was with dd and meant extra scans every 4 weeks from 20w onwards.

Just woke up after a horrific dream, is anyone else having really vivid crazy dreams? Noticed I'm not nauseous though, might just lie awake and enjoy the normalness hahaha xx

Picklesandpies · 20/07/2018 05:13

Thanks for the replies re being consultant led. @craftymum01 sorry to read you had a late loss, that must have been so hard.

@hayley013 yes to crazy vivid dreams. Just waiting for the one where I give birth to kittens (a favourite with dc1 and dc2.) Exhausting!

I will be 12+6 at my dating scan. It's worked out well though in terms of holiday as I'm away until 2 days before that.

Stressing about how I'm going to manage at airport and on flight with morning sickness. Not that keen on confined space of planes at the best of times!Confused

Lookingforadvice123 · 20/07/2018 06:11

Baby160P I actually had another scan Wednesday this week because my nausea seemed to subside for a couple of days. I only had one Tuesday last week at 7 weeks! But all was fine, baby had grown loads and I was measuring a couple of days ahead. The sonographer said it's the main reason people go to her for scans at that stage - but that it's totally normal for symptoms to peak and trough. I'm similar point to you as well (8+3 today). The same happened with ds at this time, but I then had some spotting which hasn't happened this time and thought I was miscarrying. Obviously everything was fine!

Koalatom1 · 20/07/2018 06:26

@hayley013 no I didn’t I don’t think. I’ll message you x

Koalatom1 · 20/07/2018 06:27

Telling Work today ekkkk!! This is baby #3 they’ve had to see me through 🙈

byanyothernamerose · 20/07/2018 06:35

Marking my place as after my 12 week scan my DD has moved from 30th Jan to 1st Feb...loved loved loved seeing my dancing baby on the screen. I hope you don't mind if I share a pic? A little anxious waiting for my bloods as we are getting the 3 genetic tests done...fingers crossed everywhere!!

IndiX · 20/07/2018 06:35

Morning ladies, just place marking.

Hope everyone is doing well, apart from the horrible nausea/sickness. My wretching has stepped up a notch this week, my husband is back tomorrow after a week away and I can't wait for some help with DD! Longest week ever.

How exciting that some of us are on scans already. I'm around 10/11 weeks and have my first MW appt on Thursday where I should get booked in for my scan then. Not much longer to wait Grin

Babybeany · 20/07/2018 06:51

Morning mummies! Just checking in after a little while away from the thread... We had our booking in appointment with the midwife on Tuesday. It’s amazing how much it made everything seem more real! Then on Wednesday we had our first early scan. Baby made daddy jump and mummy cry with such a good strong heartbeat! Baby measured 22 mm so our dates are pretty much spot on. Our minds are both far more at rest now. Only 3 weeks until our 12-13 week scan! 😍

Just love waking up to see these beautiful baby scans, so chuffed how well everyone is doing!

I have a couple of weeks before my 12-13 week scan, mildly nervous, mildly excited.

Regarding showing, I'm starting to get a little belly. Although it just looks like I've eaten too many pies rather than that I'm growing a baby!

DragonFlew · 20/07/2018 07:35

@Baby160p I am 8+5 and only have very very mild nausea for a little while in the morning compared to last week where I was throwing up and could barely move all day. I've no reason to worry though, no pain, no spotting. So I'm just enjoying it!

Baby160P · 20/07/2018 07:39

@Lookingforadvice123 lovely to hear that information, I keep having tummy twinges which could be he uterus stretching but I get to worried. I swear my other half thinks I'm going insane. 🙈

Baby160P · 20/07/2018 07:43

@DragonFlew thanks for the reassurance.

I have twinges down below as well as cramps which I'm sure is my body going through changes and I'm sure there's a difference between livable twinges and a MC pain. Just feel I need to check.

Susannach · 20/07/2018 08:03

Ahh, baby scans! Congratulations to all Smile

Mine is on Monday, supposedly at 12+1 but I suspect I’m a couple of weeks behind. I’m excited but getting increasingly anxious as the date approaches. Still feeling rotten though so I guess that’s a good sign...

Susannach · 20/07/2018 08:04

Is anyone getting over the sickness now? Any of you ladies due earlier in the month starting to feel better? WHEN DOES IT END?! Grin
