@powkin of course! Although symptoms have gone since Tuesday but now I'm laying in bed contemplating whether I'm going to be sick or not 😬 xx

Alicejj8x · 21/07/2018 00:16

Anyone else have abit of back ach?
Im 9 +2 and only just getting funny pains in my back

Baby160P · 21/07/2018 05:44

@Alicejj8x I did this week but it was constipation related. Sorry tmi! X

fizzledays · 21/07/2018 06:59

Yes @Alicejj8x! Really sore :( heat patches and paracetamol worked for me x

Camsie30 · 21/07/2018 08:53

@powkin glad to hear you've had a good first experience. I've got my booking appointment at the Homerton on Friday

MrsY87 · 21/07/2018 09:01

@clairehr thanks, ice cold drinks are definitely easier to get down than anything else, will give the elderflower a go as haven't tried that yet. I had some watermelon last night and that was really good so might just start eating loads of that rather than drinking!

@loumsc & @Yakadee good luck for your scans on Monday, excited to hear if you're joining me in the twins club! Do either of you have other children already too?

Notquiteagandt · 21/07/2018 09:12

@Alicejj8x terribly so. Along with what feels like my overys been jabbed with a knitting needle. I just can not get comfy! Just feel achy, crampy and heavy. Also 9w2d.

Baby160P · 21/07/2018 09:25

Pregnancy is so strange...

I've been worrying all week that my symptoms have gone and have booked another early scan tomorrow in worry.

5am wake up call today feeling more sick than I have the whole time.

Boobs feeling huge today too.

I hate being sick but I'm so relieved, still having our scan tomorrow 😬

Notquiteagandt · 21/07/2018 09:43

@Baby160P a nurse said to me at the hospital. Anixity and worry starts moment you see those 2 lines and stays for the next 18 years. Even then it doesnt go away. Just means you are a mother. All part of having a child and means you care.

I thought it was a lovely way of looking at things...

Lookingforadvice123 · 21/07/2018 09:44

Baby160P I was the same, felt soooo ill the day of my scan on Wednesday, so much that I wasn't even a bit nervous going in. I've not felt that bad since though so it's definitely worth having the scan as I think I still would've worried.

DragonFlew · 21/07/2018 09:47

@notquiteagandt ah that's so nice. And so true!

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 21/07/2018 10:10

I’ve started brown spotting again... it’s happened so much now that it’s not freaked me out, but it is getting me down..
Just a week on Wednesday to know for sure!
I’m 9+5 today.. the bloat is just getting worse!

Heartburn is driving me wild since I've done my GTT test Sad

I used to take two tablets a day and it was fine, couldn't take them on Thursday due to my GTT.

Took first one as normal yesterday morning and felt it wore off quicker, needed to take one around 2 rather than 4/5. Woke up today and I'm murdered Sad

DwangelaForever · 21/07/2018 10:50

Ignore this sorry I've gatecrashed wrong post x

Baby160P · 21/07/2018 11:06

@Notquiteagandt that's a lovely way of looking at it!

Fingers crossed for tomorrow! Xx

Baby160P · 21/07/2018 11:06

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking

I'm 8+6 and you aren't alone!!!

5Makes9 · 21/07/2018 11:18

I’m 10+6 and have looked about 7mo pregnant since I had my son 2 years ago 😄

Baby160P · 21/07/2018 11:19

@5Makes9 😂😂😂

powkin · 21/07/2018 13:01

I’m ridiculously bloated too, absolutely hating it. Feel so gross! What IS it?! Is there a way to get rid of it?!

UndercoverLauren · 21/07/2018 14:22

I had my midwife appointment yesterday and she told me I'd have to go into a birth centre as I'm low risk. I'm now freaking out as I won't be able to have an epidural. Can you ask to be transferred to a labour ward if you're struggling with the pain? They're both in the same building which makes it seem possible, but I'm worried they'll only let me if something goes wrong.

IndiX · 21/07/2018 14:57

I'm surprised she has told you you have to go tbh @UndercoverLauren have you told her you want an epidural? You should have the choice where you go and what pain relief you can take, I don't think the MW has the right to tell you where you must go. X

Yakadee · 21/07/2018 15:05

@UndercoverLauren - I'm sure you can, surely they can't force you! I've been told I'll have to be on the ward (had a complicated first birth) and I'm gutted as wanted a water birth but can't 😩 x

DragonFlew · 21/07/2018 15:12

@Yakadee @UnderCoverLauren all the health professionals can do is ADVISE you. That includes midwives or even consultants. Ultimately it is always your choice and they have to support you in your decision. They tried to talk me out of a home birth for DS2 because I had a complicated birth with DS1. But I stuck to my guns and went ahead and it was all perfect. Don't ever feel bullied or that you can't have the pregnancy or birth you want, because you can. Take their advice, research and make an informed decision. :)

LookingAtTheStars89 · 21/07/2018 15:19

@bubblybrit How did it go today?

bubblybrit · 21/07/2018 15:23

Had my first scan today at 10+1. HB is strong and measurements as to what you would expect. Baby was so wriggly on the monitor and looked very snug in there! Makes it feel way more real!! EDD is 15th Feb 😍 xx

@LookingAtTheStars89. Thank you for remembering! How are you getting on?
