@hayleyfx my scan is on Monday and I’m also feeling worse! I seem to be bringing up everything I’ve eaten for the past few days. I hope it’s the peak before it all settles! I hope yours settles soon and you manage to keep something down.

@hayley013 it sounds like it could be a urine infection. Could you not call the doctors this evening in case you can drop a sample in and then they can prescribe you something? I hope it eases soon for you!

hayley013 · 19/07/2018 16:58

Thanks guys. @powkin @Wames90 rang doctors and no appointments this eve. They said I could call 111 to see if I need to be seen at a walk-in centre this eve, I just don't know if it's necessary as I can call doctors at 8am in morning and get an appt for tomorrow, unsure what to do x

clairehr · 19/07/2018 16:58

Place marking.

Thread 4 and only 2-3 months in, we're a chatty lot, haha!

twiglet · 19/07/2018 17:06

Today was lots of lying and escaping meetings to wretch for a bit my office roof has a serious problem with seagulls nesting the smell usually would be bad enough but was 100 times worse with pregnancy nose!

AliceRR · 19/07/2018 17:35

Hi All

I am 10+3 now, no booking in or MW appointment and I definitely look pregnant. It’s not bloating. I’m a different shape. I’m hoping it’s at least a sign things are going in the right direction!

Anyone else “showing”?

I really need to go buy some new clothes! Work trousers are uncomfortable. My work dresses are fitted and show my small bump so need something looser...

bubblybrit · 19/07/2018 17:41

Place marking since stuck at the airport! Been travelling since 6am and recently found out that my 5pm flight has been delayed until close to 8pm. I could cry! 😢

On a positive note I have my first scan and harmony test on Saturday where I’ll be 10+1 🙂

Lookingforadvice123 · 19/07/2018 17:54

My booking appt isn't until Tuesday when I'll be 9 weeks! Or 9+2 by my private scan yesterday but I'm going on my LMP date until the 12 week scan. I expect it'll change as I was moved forward a couple of days with ds.

Yes that def sounds like a UTI, you are more prone in pregnancy apparently. I thought I had one the other week but luckily it subsided on it's ownZ

Lookingforadvice123 · 19/07/2018 17:55

alice I'm definitely not showing at 8+2 haha but my skinny trousers no longer do up comfortably so I'm using the old hair bobble trick. I think the uterus stays in the pelvis until 12 weeks or so then slowly starts to move up.

Hello thread 4!
@maxiflump - scan buddies, mine is next Friday too. Feel very nervous thinking about it....
@ponypals gorgeous scan pic! Amazing. Where did you go for harmony test?

AliceRR · 19/07/2018 18:22

@Lookingforadvice Weirdly before I got my BFP DH thought I looked pregnant and was convinced I might be further along than we thought. If he’s right then I would be 14 and a half weeks now. Slightly worrying but I don’t know until I go for a scan - just hope everything is ok.

Koalatom1 · 19/07/2018 18:43

Righto I’ve been advised that somebody or somebodies want to join the fb group? Pm me your email.

Have I said I’ve had my scan?! I thought I was 2 Feb by an early scan but I’m now 28 Jan. sticking around here though as it’ll be a Feb baby I’m sure!

Can’t wait for other people to have scans!

jeanzbeanz · 19/07/2018 18:56

I'm having second thoughts about having the nuchal translucency test. I initially decided to have it as a low risk score would reassure me, but now I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth the hassle? I wouldn't want to have the invasive tests if I did come back as high risk, and I certainly wouldn't terminate the pregnancy if there was anything wrong, so I'm wondering if I'm actually potentially setting myself up for needless anxiety..? Really don't know what to do!

Fiep · 19/07/2018 18:57

@hayley013 you should call 111 and make an out of hours gp appointment so you can start on antibiotics asap, if it's a UTI.

Anyone else, there is a Facebook group which some other proactive members have set up so if you pm me your email I can add you.

AliceRR · 19/07/2018 18:59

@jeanzbeanz I think it’s a really personal thing and I still haven’t decided fully but if it wouldn’t make a difference to you in terms of what you would do then I would be tempted not to have it as the stress of knowing I’m high risk might be difficult deal with. I’m not decided as DH and I have different views on this.

DragonFlew · 19/07/2018 19:03

@jeanzbeanz I didn't have the NT screening with DS2. I had planned to, however at the scan he was in an awkward position so I would've had to go back at 14w for a blood test. DH and I discussed it and we decided it wouldn't matter to us anyway and I wouldn't have invasive tests. So we didn't have it and I never even thought about it!

Lookingforadvice123 · 19/07/2018 19:29

@jeanzbeanz if you wouldn't go ahead with the amnio if you were deemed high risk, then I would be inclined not to have it. A friend felt the same then after she'd had it wished she hadn't as she stressed before the letter came back.

DH and I agreed when I was pregnant with DS that we would go ahead with the amnio if it came back high risk, so it was right for us to have the test. Will be doing the same this time.

maxiflump1 · 19/07/2018 19:55

@Cheery1 hi scan date buddy! Mines at 9.15 and so grateful it's early so I don't have too much time to get worked up about it. I think I should be 12+1. What about you?

@AliceRR I'm definitely starting to show. My male boss who knows asked me yesterday when my scan was and said " good: not sure your going to be able to keep it quiet for that much longer" and pointed at my stomach! He is lovely generally but has a habit of coming our with corkers like this!

maxiflump1 · 19/07/2018 19:57

@Koalatom1 was that your 12 week scan?! Congratulations! I think you may be the first one to have had theirs! Grin

OP posts:
Eyedontknow · 19/07/2018 20:57

@Koalatom1 I'm the same, had a scan earlier this week and thought I'd be 11 weeks by my dates, but the little one measured 12. EDD end of January now, but I have a feeling it'll end up being February. First ones are often late, aren't they?

Notquiteagandt · 19/07/2018 20:58

@AliceRR

I wish I was showing. So jeleous of you ladies that are. 5kg ive lost since being pregnant. So I think my bump will be a long time coming. But I cant wait!

I keep unsubconciously stroking my middle though 😂

Cheery1 · 19/07/2018 21:02

Mine’s at 10 @maxiflump, I’ll be 12+5 Glad it’s in the morning too! We can’t find anyone to look after our DS, so thinking I’ll have to go in on my own in case. I guess herding a two year old will be a good distraction too!

sickmumma · 19/07/2018 21:02

Ladies, I've had a really good day and then this evening sickness has hit me like a tonne of bricks! My throat is sore and bleeding, what can I do to stop it hurting as everytime I swallow it's so sore! Tempted to just go to bed but don't think I'll be able to get off to sleep!

Wames90 · 19/07/2018 21:09

@sickmumma mine was like this on Tuesday from all the vomiting. I think the best thing to do is try to keep drinking when you’re throwing up so you bring up the fluid rather than the food that burns. Also I’ve found that sucking mints helps to ease the burn. I hope you’re feeling better soon 💐

Baby160P · 19/07/2018 21:38

Paranoier has taken over and I've booked a second early scan for Sunday.

Boobs aren't so painful and nausea is pretty much gone, just have headaches and mild tummy cramps but the Internet aka the devil has worried me when I looked up disappearing symptoms.
