Into months 7 and 8 of our pregnancies now.. this will most likely be our last 'pregnant' thread before we all have our babies!!

How did we get here? Feels like just yesterday we were waving hello from the TTC boards.

If anyone new would like to join please do, we also have a very busy (private) Facebook group for everyone due in August 2018.

BeesKnees9 · 07/07/2018 14:15

My god it’s hot where I am today! Travel system arrived but I am too sweaty and flappy to put it together, let alone work out how to install the car seat..

@bertiebotts that’s a lovely idea for your son Smile if he likes reading what about a book that he can read to his new sibling - I don’t know if one exists that focuses on being a big brother?! Sounds like you have come up with plenty of ideas already

BlurredAmber · 07/07/2018 14:33

Long time lurker here, sorry!
Massive congratulations @birdy1978 - what a journey you’ve been on 💕 Hope all are recovering well.
I’m 33+2 today, due to have ELCS around 39wks and am hopelessly disorganised! 😳

Gem173 · 07/07/2018 16:15

Omg congrats @birdy1978 welcome to the world Anna! Just goes to show that our babies can come at any time! It’s so unreal!!

Emmasmum2013 · 07/07/2018 18:24

It's hot here too today. My SPD is kicking in now if I over do it. Has anyone had physio for it? Osnt worth it?

I've just done a big online shop. No way am I battling the crowds at the supermarket on a weekend anymore!!

Emmasmum2013 · 07/07/2018 18:24

Is it worth it*

CumbrianExile · 07/07/2018 18:52

Wow Birdy congratulations and welcome to the world Anna. BiscuitThanks

Gem173 · 07/07/2018 19:02

My baby is constantly on my bladder. It’s getting painful to sit, stand or lie and now it’s started to burn when I wee. (But if I go again straight after I’ve just been then it doesn’t burn weirdly) I’m drinking lots of water and peeing constantly to try relieve the symptoms. Hopefully it’s a one off thing and will go by tomorrow if I keep myself hydrated. If not then I suppose it’s another trip to the doctors :(

TheMildManneredMilitant · 07/07/2018 19:05

Wow i don't check the thread for a say and we have our first birth! Congrats birdy and I love the name you've chosen.

Had a last scan yesterday, all fine but 36 weeks and baby already 6lb 14 which puts him on 90th centile. 1st ds 9lb 12 and born without complications so I guess I shouldn't be too worried, but still...

CumbrianExile · 07/07/2018 19:26

Just realised I seem to have hit the biscuit emoji to. Apologies Birdy but feel free to enjoy said biscuit Blush

Gem baby is sat on my bladder too, constantly feel like I need the toilet, but no burning so I would get that checked if it hasn't gone tomorrow x

StrawberryLemonade · 07/07/2018 20:20

Congratulations Birdy! Lovely name for a lovely little girl. What gestation was she born? Sorry if I missed that.

Emmasmum I’ve been to private and nhs physio about PGP, nhs one basically was all the same stuff I read online. Private one was more hands on which was great at the time but I couldn’t say there was a massive ongoing benefit.

Saying that... I’d almost kill for a lovely massage right now! I nearly booked in for one but they’re wary of massaging people with any medical problems and it specially mentions liver issues and now I have OC... although I really don’t see what damage it could do!

Gem173 · 07/07/2018 20:59

@Birdy1978 mentioned in an earlier post that she was due 1st aug which I think would make her 36+2/3?
Not sure if I’m correct as I’m crap at figuring it out! Hope Anna’s sleeping and feeding well in this heat!

BertieBotts · 07/07/2018 21:05

Congratulations Birdy, lovely news :)

My baby has gone into a really weird position - made me feel quite sick and crampy last night moving and now seems to stick out everywhere and feels really uncomfortable Confused

He also seems to be resigned to the hiccups now and doesn't seem to thrash about so much when he gets them now.

I've been so grumpy this evening. We went to McDonald's for dinner as a sort of treat but there were too many flies inside so I made us move outside and then the loudest most enormous family sat right next to us which made me grumpy and I dropped sauce all down my top twice and the napkins were too small to use as a makeshift bib Grin

Then we went to the supermarket which I was expecting to be nice and cool (that's why we waited until the evening, because it was too hot during the day) but instead it was just all warm and sticky in there and I ended up shouting at DS because he wouldn't stop making stupid "amusing" comments and scooting on the trolley and it was generally crap in there.

But - Saturday chores completed :)

K8Higgy · 07/07/2018 21:56

Congratulations Birdy, sorry just catching up. Lovely name.
