Into months 7 and 8 of our pregnancies now.. this will most likely be our last 'pregnant' thread before we all have our babies!!

How did we get here? Feels like just yesterday we were waving hello from the TTC boards.

If anyone new would like to join please do, we also have a very busy (private) Facebook group for everyone due in August 2018.

Shock my daughters is 250, should I push for something further to be done? I don't want to be admitted back into hospital Sad

YouCantBeSirius · 15/08/2018 10:46

I'm sure my midwife said 250 was the level where they would start treatment. I would definitely push for something. I hope it clears up soon Flowers

Gem173 · 15/08/2018 14:58

Back in to test him again 3 days in a row now. Always have to go out the room when he cries from the heel prick otherwise I cry 😩

BertieBotts · 15/08/2018 15:15

This is turning into the longest week ever. I can barely move from this head in my pelvis and it's now starting to make my hips hurt too. I found out last night I need three pillows at exact angles or I can't sleep. Unfortunately I was too sleepy to work this out until about 8am. DH wakes me up in a panic because apparently I'm saying "Ow" in my sleep exactly once every 90 seconds, and he wants to know if we should go to hospital. I probably was contracting actually but I'm not in labour.

Then DH can't sleep either because the drugs they gave him for his tooth are giving him nightmares or just weird dreams and he dozes for about an hour or two, then wakes up saying he doesn't know if he slept or not. So we're sort of driving each other insane, except that he's being sweet and I keep going for naps during the day instead.

DS went to his friend's house after their playscheme yesterday and they ended up eating so late and his friend's mum already had everything set up so he could stay over in case I went into labour so she just offered to keep him for the night and I said OK, but I feel weird and miss him and want him home. He should be here in about an hour so that will be nice.

Sorry to hear about the babies with jaundice. All these newborn checks and issues will be over and done with before we know it, and we are lucky to have such healthcare but it can be a bit worrying when you're in the middle of the whirlwind.

Sorry that you're suffering, Bertie. I hope you don't have to wait too long before the baby comes.

Emmasmum, DD1 is coping very well with the change. She loves having a baby sister, is enjoying the extra time with DH and the big sister presents from us/friends. We are making a big fuss of her so she doesn't feel sidelined. It's clearly an emotional rollercoaster though so every boundary has been pushed and the poor thing is having a fair few meltdowns. I'm more able to cope physically now, so can scoop her up for lots of cuddles.

Emmasmum2013 · 17/08/2018 12:52

Had another midwife appointment this morning. Thought she made have done a sweep but she said it's still a bit early (39+2) and she'll come out to me on my due date if I've not gone by then.

I'm so fed up now. No signs at all in the last few days.

Anyone else still around?

WaitingforToto · 17/08/2018 16:11

I'm still here @Emmasmum2013 , 39 weeks tomorrow. I'm still working, I finish next Friday, so could do with hanging on until my due date! I've spent my entire pregnancy in pain and have been willing for it to end, but it's eased a bit since the baby was turned last week by ECV so this is probably the best I've felt. The pain is still there because of the internal bruising and damage already done but it's not bringing me to tears now! I hope your not in pain, I'm trying to enjoy the last few days of being 'alone'. Final little by for us now, let's try to keep smiling! x

Gem173 · 17/08/2018 22:09

Keep going ladies your doing so well! Not long and your babies will be here too. It will go slow but once they are here you will think wow that flew by!
Lincoln’s doing well, his jaundice blood levels have gone down now at day 5. So no more tests and he’s not yellow anymore! Nice outcome after being at the hospital everyday for a blood test and anxiously waiting for the result to come through each night!

BertieBotts · 18/08/2018 12:32

Well things got better but this morning DH decided he wanted to walk around a garden centre and this turned out to be overambitious Grin I exhausted myself so much we couldn't do the shopping! So we ran into Penny, bought a load of snacks, stocked up on milk which is my major craving and then came home. DH is firmly in let's evict baby mode because he wants next week off work! So he keeps stroking my bump singing songs to the baby to come soon. I am completely unamused. Hahaha. Feel like bodies are not really designed to be functional in the last week or two of pregnancy.

jelly449 · 18/08/2018 12:39

I'm still here....I'm sat looking at all inclusive holidays lol. That's the only thing that's going to cheer me up today lol. Massively uncomfortable and can't eat anything as I get so full and can barely move. Dh told me I had 20 mins to find one and book....challenge accepted 👍🏻 thinking jan/feb time....here goes

BertieBotts · 18/08/2018 12:40

Haha - DH and SIL are looking at holidays for next summer.

Emmasmum2013 · 18/08/2018 15:00

Ooh I'd love an all inclusive holiday. We've booked Ribby Hall for Christmas but nothing else lined up so far.

I don't think anything is designed for late pregnancy. Not just our bodies. I was getting really wound up yesterday as I was doing the shopping and the trolley pound thing on the handle kept hitting my bump! Grrrrr

jelly449 · 18/08/2018 16:05

Well I haven't booked anything. I found 2 in the 20 minute allocation....but obviously I have to check that really is the cheapest price, search for different flights, different dates of going....that can take me a few days...then I spend another few days thinking it over....this is why dh gave me an allocated time slot apparently 😂

It passed some time on anyway lol. Hope everyone is doing ok today x

peterpanwendy · 19/08/2018 05:30

Hello everyone, I've been a bit off the radar recently! Congrats to everyone on their lovely new babies.

On Monday I went to the hospital as I was worried I was leaking waters and had reduced movements. Baby was fine and it wasn't waters just more show. Whilst there I experienced what I thought was Braxton Hicks but was actually my first contraction. I was in slow labour contracting anywhere from 3-30 mins apart from Monday night to Thursday night. Its been a long and very stressful week, I was checked over on Wednesday and was still only 2cm. Got very little sleep all week! I went to the birth centre on Thursday night when the contractions ramped up a gear and was finally 4cm and in second stage labour! Fast forward a very turbulent and quite distressing 11 hours and a blue light ambulance ride to the hospital and baby girl was born on Friday morning. She remained happy the whole labour and was born perfectly but I had to have a lot of intervention so I'm still quite upset looking back at the whole ordeal. Luckily I got to transfer back to the birth centre after she was born and having a beautiful baby is softening the blow of my labour and birth. I am home now so feeling a lot better.
I can't believe she's finally here and she was 9 days early also. It's been a rollercoaster week but I am just looking ahead to our live as a family of 3 💕

Emmasmum2013 · 19/08/2018 12:24

Congrats @peterpanwendy !!

Sorry about the trauma but at least she's here safe and sound! These things rarely perfectly go to plan anyway.

Hope you're all doing ok xx

YouCantBeSirius · 19/08/2018 16:20

He is absolutely beautiful Gem

Gem173 · 19/08/2018 22:04

@Youcantbesirius Thankyou :)

somersetsinger · 19/08/2018 22:15

Congratulations on your daughter, Peterpanwendy. Your labour sounds so tough. I'm glad to hear that you got to recover at the birth centre. Take it very steady and accept any and all offers of help.

ladybirdno1 · 20/08/2018 13:47

Hi everyone. I haven't been on here for months and didn't manage to get on the Facebook page. It's my due date today. No signs as of yet. Congrats to all those who have had their babies x

louella99 · 21/08/2018 08:24

So lovely to hear about the safe arrival of these babies :-)

I'm almost 39 weeks. Breech baby, c section layer this week. No signs of labour yet, which is a good thing in my situation!

SaraLouise88 · 21/08/2018 14:55

Congratulations on everyone’s baby. My bump is so tight and ROCK hard I literally cannot find a comfortable position to be in without a butt or foot in my ribs. I’m hoping my August baby wants to be early too! Booked in for a sweep next Tuesday (at 39+4) 🙂. The midwife has had to squeeze me in before a meeting so I told her I’d promise to try to give birth before then!

Emmasmum2013 · 22/08/2018 08:41

Its my due date today and still nothing!!
Midwife is coming later to do a sweep and exam.

I've head loads of Braxton Hicks so hopefully I'm just secretly progressing and don't even realise it. Hopefully.

SaraLouise88 · 22/08/2018 08:54

@Emmasmum2013 good luck today! I have a sweep booked in for Tuesday! Hope your baby comes soon!! I’m done with my big tummy now. I keep telling her it’s ok to come out now... she’s not listening (sign of things to come!)

Let us know how you get on! xx
