Into months 7 and 8 of our pregnancies now.. this will most likely be our last 'pregnant' thread before we all have our babies!!

How did we get here? Feels like just yesterday we were waving hello from the TTC boards.

If anyone new would like to join please do, we also have a very busy (private) Facebook group for everyone due in August 2018.

@Emmasmum2013 yeah I done the epidural at 5:30am after my contractions started at 2am every 2 mins xx

MamOfFrankie · 13/08/2018 06:16

Alana Rebecca Symm made an appearance yesterday as well at 15:09. Went into hospital at 13:10 at still only 3cm so it was a bit fast and furious from there!

This is her getting a cuddle from her big sister.

Yey congratulations Gem and MamOfFrankie , gorgeous babies. I'm a week overdue so off for induction this morning hopefully - nice having a reminder of what is waiting at the end of it Smile

BeesKnees9 · 13/08/2018 07:49

AHH i have missed so much again!!! Congratulations to @gem123 and @mamoffrankie 😁 can’t believe both of your babies are here! Hope you are both recovering well x

have to admit I am a bit jealous as Gem and I had the same due date and baby BeesKnees has made no signs of vacating any time soon 😫

Today is my first proper day of maternity leave, I am having a very quiet chilled day at home which should be great - it’s my partners birthday today so we will be celebrating this eve with a curry after he has finished work!

BeesKnees9 · 13/08/2018 07:50

@themildmanneredmilitant good luck for today, hope it all goes smoothly

jelly449 · 13/08/2018 07:50

I'm going to just say hi if that's ok, I'm booked in for a section on 3rd sept - 3 weeks today but I don't know if I'm going to make it until then and the September thread seems quiet. Congrats to those who had their gorgeous babies :-) anyone else in serious nesting mode? I find I go from zero energy to 110 mph cleaning everything in site. Dh went mad at me for changing DD's bedroom round - moving her bed etc but it so easy to do and he admitted it was loads better also lol. Today I'm gonna clean the oven.....but been awake since 5am. Insomnia is kicking in and also just totally lost my appetite recently x

BeesKnees9 · 13/08/2018 08:20

Hi @jelly449 Smile how has your pregnancy been? Do you know if you are having a girl or boy?

Big yes to nesting, I keep finding really odd little jobs to do. Today I plan to tighten the screws on some light switches which we loosened whilst decorating and to clean out a bathroom cupboard - thrilling stuff.

BertieBotts · 13/08/2018 08:57

Yes my appetite is totally odd. I don't really want to eat during the day, just in the morning and then snack/graze for the rest of it. I don't feel like sleeping and then I sometimes want to clean but find I get tired too quickly and have to stop.

DS is at a play scheme this week so I have some peace and quiet. :)

Hjkillas · 13/08/2018 09:11

Congratulations ladies on your new babies 💗

Emmasmum2013 · 13/08/2018 09:16

Congrats @MamOfFrankie
What a beautiful name!!
And @Gem173, I knew you'd end up going before me haha!! i am so made up for you both 😊

@jelly449 You sound exactly like me. I've got big plans today for oven cleaning, shopping, stripping the removable covers off the couch and washing them, sorting the last bits in the baby's nursery. And I've hardly got an appetite. I didn't even have any dinner last night. I just didn't feel like it at all. Hopefully it's a good sign!!

I am fuming also, the seller who I ordered some gold star wall stickers for the nursery has decided not to post my item and has gone AWOL. Can't send a message on Etsy as she seems to have closed her shop down and have to wait for the 16th before Etsy will let me make a complaint!! Grrrr

milney25 · 13/08/2018 11:33

@Gem173 huge congratulations! He's adorable x

Gem173 · 13/08/2018 16:16

Thanks ladies Lincoln is so beautiful I can’t even not look at him! I am in so much love!! Congrats @mamoffrankie she’s beautiful xx Goodluck to the rest of you I’m sure they will definitely be on their way.

GKite · 13/08/2018 19:18

Congratulations @gem173 and @mumoffrankie
Can't believe my baby girl is 5 day old already, it truly goes so fast

WaitingforToto · 13/08/2018 19:41

Congrats on the beautiful new arrivals! xx

somersetsinger · 13/08/2018 20:22

Congratulations Gem and MamofFrankie. Your babies are beautiful and I hope you are all feeling ok.

Somersetsinger jnr arrived yesterday, too, in a fast and furious fashion. So I just about dodged the induction bullet.

Today has been spent trying to help DD1 come to terms with it. And trying not to prod no. 2 awake all the time to check if she's ok.

I have wine now, so all is well.

Emmasmum2013 · 14/08/2018 07:01

@somersetsinger congratulations!!! How is DD1 coping? What was her reaction?

I can't believe all these new arrivals. It feels like 5 mins ago we were having first scans.

I had some really big contractions in the night. I was timing them for over and hour and half and they seemed to be every 10 mins or so for about 90 seconds. and then they just stopped. They must have been Braxton Hicks but they felt so real!! Sad

jelly449 · 14/08/2018 08:11

@BeesKnees9 I'm having a boy :-) it's. It been the best pregnancy I won't lie, this is my 3rd dc and I always get hypermesis and water infections so I spent the majority of the first half in hospital. This is defo my last baby lol. How have you found your pregnancy? X

jelly449 · 14/08/2018 08:15

Sorry this is going to be a tmi one but...anyone experiencing diarrhoea in the last weeks? I've had it since Sunday evening. I've been on iron tablets for a couple of weeks now so wondered if it could be that. Have nausea also but not being sick, don't feel it's like a bug.

I've read it could be a sign labour is due but I don't think I'd be that lucky tbh lol! Plus I'm only 36+5 so would like to hang on at least another week.

I'm at the midwife in the morning so I'll mention it to her then but I just wondered whah could be the reason behind it. I've lost my appetite so not really eating as much so maybe that's it

Gem173 · 14/08/2018 21:10

Congratulations on the new arrivals. Lincoln is checked daily with a blood test to test for jaundice. He has it but we are just below treatment line and don’t have to go back to hospital unless the score goes above the line on their chart. He’s been such a dream can’t believe he will be 3 days old tomorrow!

August 2018 #6 - Impending Births and The Final Push!
GKite · 14/08/2018 21:16

@gem173 what is your little boys level? My little girl also has jaundice but they aren't doing a blood test, they just keep testing it with the flash and each day it's going up :(

Gem173 · 14/08/2018 21:18

@jelly449 I had that during my last week. A lot of the runs!! Could be signs ! Xx

Gem173 · 14/08/2018 22:21

Uh @GKite the first day it was 124 which was 111 in blood results (9 below the treatment line). And today I’m not sure the billi result but the blood result turned up as 175, which obviously is more but still about 15 below treatment line (treatment for 2 day old baby is 190) so there’s still no need to have him under a lamp just yet.

Gem173 · 14/08/2018 22:24

Here’s a photo of Lincoln’s chart. The two lines are the treatments available and the bilirubin level required for treatment Against the age of the baby in days. Going above or on the line requires treatment. But because links so close to it they do a blood test just to be sure xx

Gem173 · 14/08/2018 22:25

YouCantBeSirius · 15/08/2018 01:01

@GKite my DD had jaundice, they used the flash thing on her. 151 was the highest reading she had with no treatment needed, 2 days later it was down at 109. 2 days after that the jaundice was gone.
