August 2018 #6 - Impending Births and The Final Push!

Into months 7 and 8 of our pregnancies now.. this will most likely be our last 'pregnant' thread before we all have our babies!!

How did we get here? Feels like just yesterday we were waving hello from the TTC boards.

If anyone new would like to join please do, we also have a very busy (private) Facebook group for everyone due in August 2018.

@Emmasmum2013 due on Tuesday - so still a way to go yet (potentially). Had bloody show 13 days ago and then 4 hours worth of contractions 9 days ago and then nothing since. She is back to back, but I never realised this could happen as I only had a six hour labour (from first twinges to holding baby) with DD1.

Still, I suppose we all get there in the end.

Bought an exercise ball yesterday and haven't managed to get on it once because DD seems to think I've bought her a giant space hopper 😂

@MamOfFrankie hope you get some action soon! At least you're due on Tuesday. I'm only due on the 22nd but every little twinge or something just gets my hopes up.

I am hoping she makes an appearance soon so I can recover enough to go in to work for exam results day! Don't know which is worse - waiting for baby or waiting to find out how my GCSE students have done haha.

I have an exercise ball and it is actually really comfy to sit on but 6yo DD and 4yo DN seem to be under the same impression!

Hey ladies and a week of really bad SPD and tightenings, I had a bit of blood I my mucous yesterday and I was woken up by my waters going at 8:30am this morning. I haven’t got contractions yet but am on my way to the hospital to be assessed to see if it was my waters! I’m 37+3 but am not surprised after I’ve had a painful week. I’m knackered but hopefully he will be here in the next two days.
I definitely think it was my waters because I’ve never had any leakage like it! And it just keeps coming when I walk or sit down.
Slightly terrified but I’m sure il be happy once he’s here.

Ooooh that's exciting @Gem173! Your due date must be the day before mine.

Just an update- it was my waters, I’ve been sent home after being told I have 4 contractions every ten mins. They said baby will most likely come today. To go back when contractions hurt more

I had to be told I was having contractions because I can’t feel them!

Oh how exciting @Gem173. I couldn't feel my contractions to start with either. Hopefully it's a sign it won't be too long a labour.

Still pregnant 😩 this baby doesn’t want to come out! It’s been just under 12 hours and still no proper contractions xx

Lost yet more bloody show today, 13 days after the last lot. Why is this baby dawdling so much?

Pregnancy insomnia is keeping me awake tonight. I can't get comfortable at all.

7cm dilated and he’s still not here. But shouldn’t be too long xx

@Emmasmum2013 I was similar to you last night could hardly sleep. Bad back pain and honestly feel like I’ve been in the downstairs with a bowling ball most of the time... When are you due? x

Welcome to the world Lincoln George Coole born 12:44 midday in just 3 pushes in 4 mins!! However I did have a 24hr+ buildup to the 4 minutes 😂

@SaraLouise88 I'm due on the 22nd but I feel like I've had some signs that her arrival will be a bit earlier. She's definitely dropped now and I had a bit of a show the last few days and plenty Braxton Hicks so fingers crossed she won't be long off!
