Heregoeseverything · 04/06/2018 16:57

Massive congratulations to you all, @ElizabethLemon, @WreckitRach and @Northernbeachbum ! @Northern did it go better than expected?

I still have around 4 weeks to go...

jadeward89 · 04/06/2018 17:24

@northernbeachbum congratulations.

Baby girl arrived with us at 1:15 weighing 7lb7 (much smaller than predicted) she doesn’t have a name as we aren’t sure we like the names we chose.
Hope everyone is doing well xx

Lali1 · 04/06/2018 17:39

Oh @jade Congrats, hope you and the girl are ok now, I think is good weight! Good luck with the name!xx

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 04/06/2018 20:24

@jadeward89 Congratulations!

Cookie1831 · 04/06/2018 20:46

So glad she is finally here safe and sound jade

SparklesandBubbles · 04/06/2018 23:43

@WreckItRach congratulations! Glad your little one is here safe and sound.

@jadeward89 congratulations on your little girl. So pleased she is finally here. Enjoy those newborn snuggles.

@Northernbeachbum massive congratulations too - so exciting to have another couple of babies arrived xx

WreckItRach · 05/06/2018 02:13

@jadeward89 & @Northernbeachbum congratulations!! What lovely news! I hope you are both settling really quickly x

Justanervousmess2018 · 05/06/2018 10:34

Congrats @jadeward89

ELCS went well here and pain has on the whole been much better than I could have ever hoped for. Fingers crossed it lasts that way. Home first thing tomorrow, my only fear is how uncomfy it will be actually getting into and out of the car

Northernbeachbum · 05/06/2018 10:35

Name change fail......I blame the newborn cuddles, they're an amazing distraction

ClareB83 · 05/06/2018 10:54

Keep your knees together getting in and out of the car - hurts less.

Northernbeachbum · 05/06/2018 11:22

Oooh thanks for the tip @clareb83

Addy2 · 05/06/2018 11:45

Congratulations to @Northernbeachbum and Jadeedwards89! Great news! 😃

@watchingmasterchef I've had braxton hicks for a couple of weeks now. Baby is engaged but I remain unconvinced that it'll arrive anytime soon. Hopeful though!

@shutupanddance1 Some babies engage very quickly just before birth, don't they? You could still have it soon, fingers crossed for you! Mine's been engaged for weeks and it's not made any difference at all!

ElizabethLemon · 05/06/2018 12:26

@Northernbeachbum hooray, congratulations! Hope you’re both doing well. Make sure to keep your pain relief topped up even if you’re feeling ok.

@jadeward89 lovely, congratulations! What a relief that must be for you. Hope your bigger ones are enjoying their new sister.

We were discharged yesterday evening and have had a reasonably easy and peaceful night and morning which has pretty much been spent snoozing. Such a relief to be home with both my boys and in my own bed!

Hope everyone else is doing ok and not getting too fed up with the wait x

Northernbeachbum · 05/06/2018 20:43

I've only been given paracetamol and ibuprofen, is that about right? He's so snuggly and just wants to cuddle which is lovely but I'm pretty sure soon we will have to find ways to get him to sleep on his own so we don't get too exhausted

Awesome news @Elizabethlemon. Did they get the MRI sorted in the end? Must be lovely to be home. How's your c sec recovery going?

RockinRobinTweets · 05/06/2018 20:49

Northern I was given diclofenac, codeine, fragmin & paracetamol. Day 5 today though and just on paracetamol

Northernbeachbum · 05/06/2018 20:54

Thanks @rockinrobin....I've just had paracetamol since yesterday, wondering if I should be having more in that case

RockinRobinTweets · 05/06/2018 21:06

When your mw comes to visit I think they’ll be able to prescribe you more if you’re uncomfortable

ElizabethLemon · 05/06/2018 21:13

@Northernbeachbum I was given paracetamol, ibuprofen and dihydrocodeine (BFing friendly). If you’re managing though that’s great!

I’m feeling ok in general. I am still sore and things like getting in and out of bed and coughing are pretty painful but i think that’s to be expected. I have to keep reminding myself that I had major surgery 5 days ago!

Yes, baby had his mri yesterday morning and they were happy to discharge us by the afternoon. Neuro team are to review on Wednesday but provisionally they said everything was fine and all the problems picked up antenatally seemed to have resolved. I can’t believe it really! Baby was diagnosed with a heart murmur though but the paed wasn’t worried and said again it was likely to sort itself out and is very common. This child though! I think he’s determined to send me to an early grave.

Northernbeachbum · 05/06/2018 21:50

I am coping ok but could be a bit better. Going from one position to another is sore and I'm lucky DP is incredibly strong and can hold me up.

@Elizabethlemon that's amazing news about the MRI! It's also a great sign they're not worried about the murmor

Alice0606 · 05/06/2018 23:42

Congratulations to all of you who’ve already had your babies!

Just a little update... I am 39+6 and very impatient!!!

I don’t think he’s even fully engaged yet. Midwife appt tomorrow and apparently I should be offered a membrane sweep.

We’re hoping everything goes smoothly, in which case I’ll be allowed to give birth in the midwife led unit and use the birthing pool.

It’s our first baby and we don’t really know what to expect, so every little twinge makes me wonder whether labour is going to start soon! My back is a bit achy this evening... so hoping that’s a good sign!

SparklesandBubbles · 06/06/2018 00:07

@Alice0606 it's no wonder you are feeling impatient when so many of us have already had our babies. Back ache and twinges are definitely all good signs. My twinges were very low down on my bump - I never really got any high up.

@ElizabethLemon that's fantastic news - bet you are over the moon. x

Shutupanddance1 · 06/06/2018 04:40

Well my baby dropped last night and now I feel like baby is literally gonna fall out of me at some stage Grin. I’d em, prefer if she stayed put to the weekend but I have an appointment on Thursday so I’ll see how I am getting on then.

Lovely to read all the newborn cuddles! To the CS mummies - keep on top of your pain relief, no point being a martyr, it is major surgery.
