Hi all hope everyone is doing ok and babies aren’t struggling with the heat too much.
Indi is 7weeks now! Where is the time going? She amazingly slept through a few times, but that means she’s not really sleeping in the day so I’m having to do things in 5 minute bursts 😂 on the down side I got my first visit from Aunt Flow on Friday and I am still in agony now 😕 I get bad cramps normally but this is really bad.
Hope you’re all good though 😊

ClareB83 · 25/07/2018 16:04

I just had my second AF. Rude. I think we should all get a year off.

We're OK. Boys have been pains the last few days - going to blame teething and the heat. So we've not slept great but DH has been very supportive.

Im very excited that the forecast is due to drop significantly tomorrow. Usually i love it as id be in the lido so its weird hating this summer we're having.

Frantically buying larger rompers in sales as DS is growing fast! Didnt realise baby clothes could be so varied between brands like adult clothes! Next sizing seems bigger than m&s for example!!

@jadeward89 sleeping through sounds heavenly! DS can usually do 5 hours then 2 then 2 for the night but sometimes the 5 hrs starts at 8.

Im still struggling to get him to fall asleep not being rocked or carried by us. By struggling i mean it jst doesnt work

Have you all been doing many baby classes?

jadeward89 · 27/07/2018 16:18

I have to admit that Indi has been a dream so far and I am so grateful. My eldest who’s almost 10 still doesn’t sleep for long (he’s up by 6am every morning) it’s amazing how different all 4 have been.
Indi is still in mostly up to 1 month/1st size clothes, she’s in some 0-3 outfits but mostly it’s the smaller sizes. Her 0-3 sleepsuits are still huge on her. We have found next to be the biggest, then asda and Primark generally the smallest. Sainsbury’s clothes are a nice size and mothercare x

Northernbeachbum · 10/08/2018 22:05

Hows everyone getting along? I cant believe how fast time is going!!! Its incredible, DS is changing so much and has a fab cheeky smile and giggle (which he likes to pull out at his 2am feed).

Have you got a routine? We're just going with the flow at the moment but wondering at what point we should try to start a nap routine

jadeward89 · 11/08/2018 22:37

I can’t believe how quick the time is going too! Dd has a gorgeous smile which I adore, she also already has me wrapped around her little finger, she drops her bottom lip as though she’s going to cry 😢
The only sort of routine we have is her having a bath between 7:30 and 8pm.
As the big 3 are off school I’m not too worried about a routine atm, when they go back I’ll start trying to get some sort of routine.

Jonsnowscodpiece · 13/08/2018 02:35

Hope everyone is doing well. Yes I was wondering about routines too - we are nowhere near one! I'm just feeding as and when and it's still quite random as she seems to comfort feed too. How would you go about getting a breast fed baby into a routine?

Northernbeachbum · 14/08/2018 07:29

Ive not really worried about a routine kind of expecting DS to fall into one naturally but hes so affected by what weve done as to when he naps. Glad you're enjoying her @jadeward89, are the older 3 still enjoying being big siblings?

Im not entirely sure how you get them in a routine @jonsnowscodpiece and DS is FF! I can try to feed him at the same time daily but just seems to not work!

jadeward89 · 14/08/2018 08:16

@Northernbeachbum they all love her to bits. My dd1 can’t stay away from her.
In honesty I’m not too worried about a proper routine as each day will be different once kids are in school (ds2s Birthday is just over a week after they go back so I’ll have loads of Birthday and part prep). And I’m not even sure how to start a routine either and she’s ff. I’m sure she will settle herself into something she’s happy with.

Anyone else’s baby chomping on things, her gums are really bothering her 😢

Jonsnowscodpiece · 14/08/2018 19:49

Yeah I agree about the whole routine thing, especially at this young age. It's not worth stressing out over because they change all the time.
Jadeward89 Yes I have noticed that, plus she's started drooling. Surely it's too early for teeth?. Although DD1 got the bottom 2 through at 12 weeks and the rest came thick and fast afterwards.

Northernbeachbum · 14/08/2018 20:24

Yup DS has started drooling like mad and mouthing his hand. Hes too little to understand how to use any of the teething aids we've got him but weve got him an amber anklet (im not sure whether they help or not but im willing to try anything to minimise the teething issues)

jadeward89 · 14/08/2018 20:30

Indi has been dribbling (and blowing bubbles) and hand chomping for a while, I didn’t think teething at first as she wasn’t fussing (I remember the other three really being fussy) but now she’s getting really frustrated and keeps trying to chew me when I wipe her face.
Fingers crossed that all of their teeth come through without too much pain for them l, and us.

Northernbeachbum · 14/08/2018 21:27

Yup we're getting all that too here @jadeward89 and giving the bottle teat a good chew as well!!

Speaking of which, when and why are you supposed to move them off the newborn teats? He seems ok but it does take him a lot of effort to drink and DP has been suggesting we look at the next one

jadeward89 · 15/08/2018 12:10

We moved onto the second stage at 6 weeks, they said 2months up but she was taking so long to drink a small amount that we decided to try early and see how she did and it’s been much better and she’s taking more before getting too tired. We are using the MAM bottles so I don’t know if other teats are different, can always check online. 😊

ClareB83 · 16/08/2018 05:04

Mine were on stage 2 teats within days as premies find it harder to suck and need the help.

ClareB83 · 12/09/2018 20:42

Yes thanks. The boys are 20 weeks old now. Tricky sometimes but laughing lots! Hope you're all well too.

jadeward89 · 12/09/2018 21:45

Oh wow that seems to have gone really quickly. Indianna is 14weeks old and smiling constantly, until she sees my mum or sister and her bottom lip starts to wobble and she bursts into tears (it’s quite funny really) glad to hear both are doing well.

ClareB83 · 11/03/2019 15:22

Just wondered how @Mummyloves09 and Amayah we're doing. Can't see anyway to send a direct message. But maybe I'm being blind as I don't really come on here anymore.

ClareB83 · 17/04/2019 14:17

Yes thanks!

My boys turn one in 8 days. They start nursery the week after and i go back to work the week after that. It's been fast and slow.

Anyone with a June baby still around? I didn't join in with the original threads but read them all.
How's everyone getting on? 😊
