Hi All - sorry hope you don't mind me starting a new thread but my laptop won;t let me put a message on the other one - I think cause it is so long!!

Anyway glad you are all ok - Pandabear - think it is quite common for you not to feel baby if you are active all day - if I have a really busy day I get worried and then I sit and relax and he goes into overdrive - its grosse sometimes like I have an alien inside my belly!!

Have midwife appointment today just routine but am going to ask if she thinks baby will be huge - everyone on hols acted like I was ready to give birth and were stunned when I told them I had 14 weeks left but then again the BA lady asked if I were pregnant when we checked in and all the mumsnetters I saw at last meet up did not tthink I was huge!! I haven't put on anything other than my big bump and inflated boobs though so thats a relief so far!!

Sam if you still have the UTI try to drink as much as you can - cranberry juice or flat lemonade are supposed to work well.

Tonic water is still keeping the reflux under control to an extent and other than clicky hips and being sooooo bloody hot all is ok inthe Twinkie Pregnancy so far.

Morning all, been up since 3am this morning.....typically, just can't sleep, once I wake, my brain is going into hyperdrive thinking of anything and everything! Wouldn't mind if I was in labour, but there you go!

Bunny, it is just a matter of course here in Belgium, I have to say, I thought they couldn't actually do one unless the cervix was favourable, but we'll have to see.

Flossam, so glad you are in and sorted. Moving is a nightmare at the best of times.

Collision, I have a spare box of raspberry leaf tablets, not tea cos I hate the taste of the tea. I took tablets last time, dunno if it makes any difference except labour WAS quicker and I didn't have to have stitches which after the first time, was a HUGE relief. You are more than welcome to them as I will not be getting into that second box,if you want to let me have your e-mail then we can swop addresses.

Eidsvold, play the psychological game, say "yes" you're going, then you'll go into labour. I think it is a really good idea to have something planned for your due date or just after cos it either has to be cancelled, or if not, you have something to do to take your mind of things and look forward to........personally I would go for a pedicure. The ladies at my sons school are having a coffee morning for me tomorrow, so kind and thoughtful.

8lb 10 - well, that'll sting a bit ds#2 was exactly that weight!! I hate to think what this one will be, I am hoping HOPING, that with being a girl, she may be a little smaller, otherwise I think I am on for a 9lber!! I caught a sideways view of myself in the mirror last night and almost fell over with shock at the sheer size of the bump..........SERIOUS weight watchers required after this one!!

Hi All - just been for my growth scan and hopspital appointment and everything is OK. Baby's head is now 4/5 engaged, and I'm more uncomfortable every day! I just hope this one doesn't arrive as late as DD did (11 days!). Glad to hear you're all well - and my money's on M2E being first!

collision · 25/10/2004 14:46

Welcome Piper! Very addictive site but very informative! You have missed all our moaning and graoaning during the last 9 months but we are ALL fed up now and just want to give birth. Do you know what you are having?

We are all hoping Bunny and Eidsvold are first as Eidsvold is in Oz and very hot and Bunny has had a scary pregnancy.

Tell us all about yourself.

Riebee · 25/10/2004 16:24

Hi all, welcome piper

Eidsvold- i think you should say yes to your day out, I have decided to carry on as normal and plan lots of things to do as I am fed up with wondering 'will it be today'. A bit of pampering sounds lovely.. go for it!

I am getting less period type pains and more tightening now but I think the baby is perfectly happy to stay in there forever! My friend dreamt that I had a 7lb 8oz girl on a Friday so watch this space. The midwife is predicting 8 to 8 1/2 Lbs so I'm not putting money on the dream being a prediction.

I just wish I could sleep, I've been awake at 2 am ish for the last 3days now but considering this pregnancy has been really crappy from day one I don't see why it should be any easier at the end.....but the end is close we hope

Flossam- Glad the move went ok.

webmum · 25/10/2004 19:45

Hello everyone

I've got less than a week to go (I'm actually due next sunday) and no sign of a baby yet. Which suits me fine as still in the middle of loft conversion, and hoping baby holds on as long as possible.
Mum arrived yesterday and it's a relief to ahve some help with dd, whi has been quite a handful recently, and even had german measles last week, which meant a whole week stuck at home with her and the builders!!!

Good luck to everyone, I do hope those of you who cant take it anymore go into labour soon!! im hoping for the opposite but getting ready for the worst!!

bunny2 · 25/10/2004 20:44

Blimey, loft conversions and house moves - what a brave lot you are! Glad it went well Flossam. And pls dont feel guilty about your Mum, being a Mum means lots of sacrifices happily made as you will soon find out!

Flossam and Collision, Im touched that you are wishing me a speedy end to this pregnancy . I really am. I still panic every day and wont relax until I am holding the baby in my arms.

Hi Piper, nice to have you here. Welcome to our group of grumbling insomniacs!

Eidsvold, go for it, it'll be the last chance for a papmer for some time.

gingernut · 25/10/2004 21:53

Hello and welcome piper.

Flossam, glad all went OK, bet you are relieved to be in the new place.

arwen, I am on the list as jellycat and my due date is now 25th Nov not that it'll make any difference! Flossam is Samcj.

dh is taking a day off tomorrow and we are going Christmas shopping. Have already done quite a lot of it so hope to get the rest done tomorrow (if I can manage to stay on my feet long enough). We also need to look at carpet to go with our new decor (which is nearly finished, hooray, although I shall have to clean the whole house after they've gone as the dust has got everywhere ).

eidsvold · 26/10/2004 00:12

thanks for those wishing I will be one of the first.... this week is supposed to be getting hotter - if that is possible... dh has taken to telling my belly ( and the baby) that he/she needs to think about making a move - dh has put in his order for tomorrow.... our anniversary - I told him for the baby's sake I would try and hold on til Thursday - poor thing does not want to be sharing their birthday with their parent's wedding anniversary

Sounds like we are all fed up and just wanting our babies to be here... it just seems so long ago that I found out I was pregnant, then that we told others, moved to OZ and so on!!!!

arwenevenstar · 26/10/2004 06:48

I agree, it seems pretty rotten not wanting to be pregnant anymore, but I think the last few weeks really drag when all you want is to hold your baby.

Thanks for letting me know, as you can tell Gingernut I haven't been on all the while, so didn't realise, sorry!

Bunny - you will hold your baby sooner than you know it. I'm really sorry you've had such a s* time. You will be fine I'm sure.

As for the loft extensions etc, maybe it is some exaggerated form of nesting?? We moved when I was pregnant with #1, built an extension with #2 and moved abroad with #3, albeit the last move I was literally weeks, so not about to pop. I don't know I could do it "this" pregnant, I can hardly get out of bed or into the car.

Anyone else getting a really heavy ache, like a bruising in their lower regions . I seriously feel like someone has kicked me down there. I am guessing it is because her head is low, but I don't remember it with the boys. Is this because you forget these niggly bits or I am just really saggy and knackered there now ?????

Collision - would you like these tablets? not offended if not, just they are going begging and it seems a waste if you could use them.

collision · 26/10/2004 21:52

Arwen.....am so annoyed about the tablets as I would have loved them but my Mum is sending me some over so I wont take them from you......maybe you could find someone else who would like them. Sorry to be a pain after asking for them!!

Iron levels are up from 9.19 to 10.53 which is app OK for pregnancy......thank goodness.....just want it all over now!!

Love to all and I will move to the new thread now.

Bronze · 27/10/2004 14:40

Gingernut, where are you?
I dont get to come online much anymore cos of my temperamental computer and was quite surprised that noones had their baby yet.
I'm now being sent to my mums for a week while the babies room is decorated which is a first as I normally have to do all the painting
Good luck to all those due very soon
B
