Hi All - sorry hope you don't mind me starting a new thread but my laptop won;t let me put a message on the other one - I think cause it is so long!!

Anyway glad you are all ok - Pandabear - think it is quite common for you not to feel baby if you are active all day - if I have a really busy day I get worried and then I sit and relax and he goes into overdrive - its grosse sometimes like I have an alien inside my belly!!

Have midwife appointment today just routine but am going to ask if she thinks baby will be huge - everyone on hols acted like I was ready to give birth and were stunned when I told them I had 14 weeks left but then again the BA lady asked if I were pregnant when we checked in and all the mumsnetters I saw at last meet up did not tthink I was huge!! I haven't put on anything other than my big bump and inflated boobs though so thats a relief so far!!

Sam if you still have the UTI try to drink as much as you can - cranberry juice or flat lemonade are supposed to work well.

Tonic water is still keeping the reflux under control to an extent and other than clicky hips and being sooooo bloody hot all is ok inthe Twinkie Pregnancy so far.

Mum2Ela · 11/08/2004 09:53

I'm here! Everything is also fine in with the Mum2ela pregnancy.

Just over 12 weeks to go . . . .

bunny2 · 12/08/2004 08:57

Hello, found you [smile

I'm big Twinkie, at a parrty last week I was as big as a woman who was 39 wks!

PandaBear · 12/08/2004 08:59

HI Everyone - just thought I'd post on here as there seems to be two threads still on the go at the moment! All is also well with me now... except acid indigestion has just started. I forgot how horrible that can be, but have invested in a large bottle of gaviscon so hopefully that will sort that one.

I'm starting to panic now, everyone seems so organised with buying stuff for baby already... I've not even started, and I've got to get DD's room decorated and her moved into it before D day - do you think I'll be ready? I'm not so sure

Twinkie · 12/08/2004 09:30

Goodness me you must be big

Am going to shop this weekend I have a voucher for 10% off at mothercare so we are doing one huge shop trying to get everything at once!!

DP had chosen the colour shceme and stuff for the room and it is not exactley what I wanted but hey ho think it is probably quite nice for him to actually care x2b couldn't have given a toss what colour we painted DDs room!!

DD's new room is nearly finished - final coat of paint tonight and then carpet being laid tomorrow - am off later to get as many princessy girly bits as I can find!!

Ooohhhh and I have leucozytes in my urine as well as protein and a low blood pressure problem - and to top it of this baby is thying to punch its way out of my belly!!

Flossam · 12/08/2004 09:48

You made it Bunny!!!

The only reason I've gone a bit beserk is because my mum was up and started me off! Had got a couple of bits of Ebay before that to be honest though!

Worrying about where we will be living at the moment, we will have to move around the time the baby is due (well four days after due date to be exact)as our contract here will be up and we need more room. Think its going to get all a bit stressful! When I get the guts up I'm going to phone our land lady and see if she will let us out of the contract a month early without loosing all of our £700 deposit.

PotPourri · 12/08/2004 11:36

Hi Georginars (just joined Nov 2 thread). What a small world that our due dates are almost the same and in the same hospital (and same mix up with dates). You are very welcome. I'm sure you'll find this thread great, I have really got a lot from it so far - tips and piece of mind mainly, but it's good to talk to people in the same boat too. We might be in the same antenatal classes with the hospital. Is it your first? And do you live near West Middlesex? I'm in Isleworth.

I'm doing fine. I saw the doctor today and all is going well. Tummy button is getting really sore - does anyone else have that? And any tips to dealing with it. It's such a strange pain. I guess the stretch marks will be with us very soon!! Some days I seem much bigger than others, today is a small day. Glad the weather has cooled down at last (not that I usually like to complain, but really it was so heavy...) Glad all seems to be going well with you all - and Panda's babys back kicking.

Eidsvold, how do you feel for baby's head etc? I can't feel much, but I don't know what I'm looking for really...

georginars · 12/08/2004 12:31

Hi again, finally worked out the threads!

PotPourri, it is my first baby and I live in Whitton so not far at all from West Mid. Antenatal classes there for me don't start until Nov 8th or something as the October ones were full by the time I got booked in (several more mix ups along the way there but that's another story!). so I've booked into some NCT ones as well so I can at least appear to be slightly organised & prepared. I'm not actually organised at all except for buying a few clothes and knowing that the cot is coming from my brother. I don't have a nursery or room that could be a proper nursery - the 2nd bedroom in our flat already houses a piano, all my musical instruments, computer, dining table, books etc. - so the baby's going to be in with us for quite a while. We can't move as I'm being made redundant (unrelated to the pregnancy and pay off will be nice, although not enough to enable us to move)
Apart from that it all seems to be going OK at the moment except the heat really gets me down. Nice to feel baba kicking lots now though, a couple of weeks ago I was really starting to wonder if there was anything in there....

Twinkie · 12/08/2004 12:41

We have now ordered everything - DP just did it (well furniture anyway - we were going to give Max ours and have new but he decided just to get some more) - he also bought me a glider chair and stool - ooohhhhh wanted one with DD but couldn;t afford it - I LURVE HIM LOTS TODAY!!

OP posts:
bunny2 · 12/08/2004 21:25

glider chair!

eidsvold · 12/08/2004 22:49

Panda - the m idwife just felt around and said that long curved bit felt like the spine and then dug her hands in firmly around my pelvis and said that felt like the head and as my belly was not so hard on the other side to where she felt the spine - had to be arms and legs..... sorry can't be much more help than that.

Have bought a few things - as they have been on sale here and we are finally getting around to making a roon for dd - painting and getting bits of furniture and then we will paint the nursery. Am lucky as a friend is lending me all her baby furniture so we don't have to buy all that again. Will be getting the inlaws to send a box with all the baby clothes I left behind. Just wish I knew what gender the babe was - a lot of clothing here seems to be very gender specific - doesn't help when you don't know the gender.... Have bought nappies, a few baby gros ( a couple we sent with some stuff earlier on) making sleeping bags, made some muslin nappies, and mainly bought rugs/wraps, flannels and bits and pieces like that - so nothing major - the blessing is that it will be hot so vest/babygro and nappy will be enough for a while and Christmas not far after that.

Otherwise - all is well in the eidsvold pregnancy. Baby moving a lot and seems to be very active at night now rather than in the morning.

Flossam · 13/08/2004 07:32

Has anyone else leaked any milk yet? Isn't it a bit early? Got a wet arm last night, and I can squeeze it out if feeling that way inclined! Quite shocked really!

bunny2 · 13/08/2004 09:15

me too Sam. I'm so excited by it, I keep having a squeeze . I couldnt establish breast feeding with ds but I am more confident this time.

Twinkie · 13/08/2004 09:19

Yep often wake with crusty nipples - DP thinks its hilarious but he hasn't be as interested in them as he normally is since I showed him!!

bunny2 · 16/08/2004 19:52

Another week closer!! How is everyone? I have indigestion and I'm the size of a small horse but apart from that I feel great

Flossam · 16/08/2004 20:14

It's been ages since we heard from Collision isn't it? I think the last time she posted was before her scan? I'm a bit worried about her! If your lurking Collision can you let us know you are ok? Or does anyone know anything? Should I start a where is post?

vivie · 16/08/2004 21:38

hi all,
back from our hols, had a lovely time and we're feeling quite chilled - until we got home and I realised that I have 13 weeks until this baby arrives and I HAVE SO MUCH TO DO!!!!! I haven't bought anything for him yet, and while ds's stuff will do mostly, I still need furniture - cot, change table, storage, chair, etc and need to decorate a bedroom. EEEEK!
Physically I'm fine, feeling much the same as you bunny2! I'm seeing my mw tomorrow so I'll ask her about checking the baby's position. I'm hopefully going to have a home birth, so I have lots of questions about that too.
PAndaBear, did you know you can get GAviscon on prescription? You get huge dispensing bottles so they last a while.

eidsvold · 16/08/2004 22:31

i'm with you vivie - about 12 weeks until this one is due and whilst we have a few clothes and bits - need to decorate the baby's room and get furniture.....

feeling fine - lots of kicks, big belly, and indigestion - did not have last time...

off to see GP today to discuss some of the stupid things the consultant said to me last visit.

collision · 16/08/2004 22:49

Am finally back on line after a horrible computer virus contaminated our computer and all we could get was porn. Gross.

Thanks for asking about me Flossam. The scan was great and we saw all the bits and pieces we needed to see and all was well. It is very active all the time and I feel huge. Am not sure that I will go full term as ds was 5 weeks early. Baby had legs crossed so we dont know the sex tho I feel sure it is a boy.

Hope all is well with everyone else.

PandaBear · 17/08/2004 11:50

Hi All,

Vivie I didn't realise you could get Gaviscon on prescription, I'll mention it to the docs next time I go... thanks!

Just had an appointment this morning, and mentioned that I have been sore in the pubic area, and they have confirmed that I have got SPD! Great! Still, they've referred me to a physio and I have my first appointment on Thursday so hopefully it will not get any worse.

Other than that everything is going really well with me to and it's really nice talking to everyone on this thread - it's so upbeat it makes up for boring days at work!!

Take care all

Mum2Ela · 17/08/2004 12:20

HI everyone.

Vivie - snap! Haven't really got anything organsied for baby yet. Am in the middle of decorating our bedroom, so baby's room is next, though it should be easy.

Have stared going through DD's baby clothes and picked out the unisex ones to keep. Have decided that I will dress this baby in the same frist outfit as we did with DD. Thought that would be really sweet!

Pandabear - I think there have been a few threads about SPD on MN. Do a search. Let us know how it goes at the physio.

Well, feel massive but everyone keeps telling me i am not (though it doesn't make any difference - still feel crap!). Am having an off week so I am going to arrange some me time at the weekdn and also will sort a babysitter for friday night so me and DH can go out and I can feel a bit more human!

Had a horrible dream the other night about having panic attacks whilst delivering the placenta after the baby had been born. Its really starting to worry me now. My labour with DD was fine, v short, managed the pain fine but hated it afterwards when they had to check me for tears etc and hated the third stage even more (thank goodness I didn't need stitches - they wouldn't have been able to get near me).

Flossam · 17/08/2004 12:47

Collision, so glad you're ok! Just in time before I started the searching for Collision thread!

I've had a really weird dream too, a few weeks ago now. I dreamt I gave birth to my baby in about an hour in a shop type place before DP insisted me and the baby went to the pub for lunch... On the way back home after our pub lunch I realised I'd forgotten to deliver my placenta (!) and DP handed me the baby to hold, but he was too heavy and I fell on the floor!!

I think this dream may have something to do with DP telling me that we could always get the tube back home from hospital after having baby!!!

gingernut · 17/08/2004 15:49

Hi everyone, I feel huge too! Just saw a friend who is due end of Sept and I swear she is no bigger than I am . I haven't put on that much weight though and it's all bump.

PandaBear, I am having lots of pelvic pain too, it has been bad for about a week now so have made a docs appointment for next Monday (hoping it'll resolve itself by then but not optimistic). I have read a little about SPD and think it may be. Pain is down the insides of my legs, and when I separate my legs at all. Getting up from floor is painful, and turning over in bed is awful. Often my pelvis clicks when I try to turn in bed. I had something like this last time but not so early and not so bad. Is yours anything like this? I am going to try wearing my support belt in bed (will have to get another one, as I can't bear the thought of being without it while it's in the wash!). I can't wait for this all to be over TBH. Sorry to whinge!

gingernut · 17/08/2004 16:04

BTW PandaBear, sorry to hear you definitely have SPD. Hope the physio sessions alleviate it.

PandaBear · 17/08/2004 16:17

Gingernut - it does sound very similar to the symptoms that I have been having. I really hope it's not but if it is it's best to have it diagnosed as early as possible because otherwise it will just get worse (apparently). Let us know how you get on.

bunny2 · 17/08/2004 21:12

Collisio, really good to hear all is ok - we were a bit worried

PB, really bad luck re SPD - hope the physio helps.

Can I ask a personal question? I am a bit obsessed with what comes out of my boobs at the mo. I couldnt bf ds and am keen to succeed this time around. For weeks now I have been producing colostrum when giving a bit of a squeeze but this morning thick white stuff came out (sorry, tmi). Does this mean I have wasted all the colostrum and will only produce milk from now on? I know it is probably a very silly question but I am a bit of a beginner with breast feeding.
