Hello! I haven’t seen a thread so thought I’d start one for any other mums expecting December babies :-)
I’m 24, this is #2 (have a DS who is 4) and EDD is 3/12/18!
Had an early mc in Feb so feeling quite anxious still.

OP posts:

I had 5 strong positives on Thursday and serious symptoms yesterday. Today I've had 2 negative tests and no symptoms. So I'm thinking it's gone now. You don't always bleed immediately. If I've not started bleeding by the end of the week I'll test again and go to the GP to get the pill to start it off.

Usernamechecksout · 01/04/2018 14:21

tefiti and thisisunexpected, really sorry to hear this. Big hugs xx

balalalala · 01/04/2018 18:15

More sad news! Hope you're doing OK wellthis, thinking of you.

raysan1 · 01/04/2018 23:01

hello, am due on 3rd December with our first after IUI, hypnotherapy and intralipids (for high NK cells). Early scan next Friday, am so exited to see it! Not sure how long I can wait after that before telling friends...

My symptoms are OK - twinges, slightly sore and massive boobs, some tiredness and some itching (which fortunately went away with some pH gel and canesten from the chemist) Blush

Sending lots of love to the ladies who it didn't work out for this month.

You sound like you are taking it in a balanced way, which I respect (of course everyone is different so I would also respect any other way of dealing with loss)

AaronPurrSir · 02/04/2018 09:45

I’ve woken up this morning and my boobs don’t feel as sore as they have been, so obviously now I’m worrying!

Emilyrose1290 · 02/04/2018 11:04

Have you poas @Aaron? I am pretty much everyday at the moment to check it’s still positive. I am having the most awful indigestion and constipation (sorry tmi) having to take gaviscon already, with my first I didn’t need it til later on!

AaronPurrSir · 02/04/2018 11:11

@emilyrose1290 I don’t have any in besides the cheapie ones and I don’t trust them - I had a barely any line on them on the same day I had a really strong positive on a FRER, so I think they cause more anxiety than anything else. Last one I did was on Wednesday, a clear blue that said 2-3 weeks which is correct by my calculations.

Will get some tomorrow. No one told me the PG tests expense would continue even after getting a BFP!

Usernamechecksout · 02/04/2018 14:39

Doing loads of tests doesn’t really tell you anything! If you miscarry, the level of TSH can stay high for some time. When I had the medical management of miscarriage, I still got positive tests until three weeks later (and it stopped developing at 5-6 weeks).

Symptoms can come and go as well. Please try not to worry (I know it’s hard). There’s nothing you can do at the moment anyway. Whatever happens, happens.

Wellthisunexpected · 02/04/2018 15:10

username I think you mean hcg!

But yes, you are right. I'm only doing them as I need to know it's 'finished' and there's no retained product. But due to urine concentration they are reliable.

emwithme · 02/04/2018 16:08

So sorry to hear your news Tefiti and Well

Told my best mate today, she's thrilled (and nervous for me). I said that I didn't think that this month would be our month because we literally DTD twice (once four days before OV and once 4 days after) due to DH's shifts and so to get a positive was a real surprise. Apparently, her 2yo happened when they DTD the day her period ended (and only that once that month), so I'm taking that as a good sign. I'm taking ANYTHING as a good sign, tbh. I'm very aware that after 2 MCs there is a higher risk, but I'm doing my usual of planning for the worst and hoping for the best.

I'm not sure whether I'm going to have an early scan this time. We had one last time, saw the heartbeat at 7+5, but then started bleeding at 11+6 (with baby stopped at 9+5) so I know that it's not always a certainty. However, this time I'm taking a baby aspirin on the advice of my GP so hopefully everything will go swimmingly.

It's been quite a difficult weekend though, doing the coffee detox (I previously was on 4 or more cups of ground coffee a day), cut it down to 1 on Thursday/Friday and have been entirely on decaf since Saturday. I'm glad I had the long weekend to do it, plus obviously I've been bingeing on hot cross buns and easter eggs which helps!

Usernamechecksout · 02/04/2018 16:11

well oops! Sorry have hypothyroidism so got the two mixed up Blush

jld1202 · 03/04/2018 18:28

Hello all :) wondered if I could join you - DH and I have been ttc for 2 years for our first baby. We had confirmation of PCOS last month and due to start Clomid next month when, huge surprise on Easter Sunday - 4 strong BFP's! Over the moon and can't believe the timing! EDD 8th December but pretty anxious about things going wrong so still POAS daily!

Aside from slightly tender boobs and a kind of "hungover" ( I havnt drunk for 10 years!) feeling, main change seems to be the amount of time in the loo for twosies! Anyone else having this? Xx

balalalala · 03/04/2018 19:09

Congratulations! How exciting! I hope you celebrated with lots of chocolate!

jld1202 · 03/04/2018 19:26

Thanks lovely! It's very surreal but very exciting! How are your symptoms so far? X

balalalala · 03/04/2018 20:06

Settled down mostly, which is obviously worrying! Felt a bit bloated the last couple of days and very tired, but that could just be down to having a very on the go toddler who's nursery is shut this week!

Usernamechecksout · 03/04/2018 20:49

jld this happened to me with my first. Was told I had pcos as well, they told me I would need Clomid, but then got a positive pregnancy test as well!

Been having a rapid heartbeat today. I don’t know if it’s my cold or the pregnancy, but it’s freaking me out!

Has anyone registered with the midwife yet? I’ve not done it, because it was awful having done the whole booking in thing a few months ago, and being referred to the consultant (because of my thyroid) and then having to call up and cancel all the appointments after the miscarriage. I still have the green notes I should really throw out.

jld1202 · 03/04/2018 20:58

Balalalala: I don't have the excuse of any other little ones (this is our first) and I seem to be knackered! Can't imagine how zonked you are!

Usernamechecksout: I'm so sorry you had that experience, it's my biggest fear. It's been such a long journey to this point - just praying all sticks and grows as it should for us all! Seems like we had similar stories! We had the hysterosalpingogram with the dye injection in January and apparently that can help clear things out to get you ready before the meds! Either way, miracles for all xx

MrsTeaPlease · 04/04/2018 17:48

Hello! Can I join please?!

I got my bfp yesterday. Bit of a shock as I only stopped taking the pill at the beginning of March and was expecting it to take a lot longer! So I am guessing I am about 4 weeks or nearly.

I'm 30 and already have one ds who is 3 :)
Congratulations everyone!

MrsTeaPlease · 04/04/2018 17:59

I've just read the whole thread. So sorry to the ladies who have lost.xx

MissMedusa · 05/04/2018 14:39

Hello, decided to tempt fate and join you ladies today. I've stayed away from these threads in the past because I tend to have to leave them early (5th pregnancy 1dc) but I got a gorgeous 3+ on my cbd this morning which has emboldened me! Grin

EDD December 4
DC2

I had a fair amount of spotting around implantation (5days) so thought I was out but everything since then has been ok, symptoms have been pretty mild but that's normal for me. I have an early scan next Wednesday so counting down the days.

MissMedusa · 05/04/2018 14:46

To the ladies who may have lost this month: sorry to hear, I know exactly what you're going through and it's awful. If you're up to it please let us know how you're doing.

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 05/04/2018 16:28

Hi ladies, can I join you? I got my bfp yesterday and due 9th December according to the nhs website.
Feeling very nervous and hoping it will stick. This was our cycle 14.

Kaitke · 06/04/2018 07:22

Hi there, I found out 2 days ago I'm pregnant, completely unexpected and unprepared, very scared and excited and scared again.. I'm 34, and doc says (based on me not really knowing when period was!) she thinks I'm due 4th December. I am living far from my friends and family at the moment, and feel so alone - trying to feel a bit less isolated and scared by reaching out xx

balalalala · 06/04/2018 12:47

Welcome! I bet that feels pretty scary! When you get nearer the time, definitely do nct or similar as I don't know how I would have survived otherwise. I know not everyone enjoys it, but I've made some of my best friends! One is actually the only person other than my dh and my mum who know I'm pregnant this time round!

MrsTeaPlease · 06/04/2018 12:57

Hi all! Is anyone feeling rough yet? I was very sick with my son but u can't remember when it actually first started, I'm thinking week 7? I've been having a lot of little cramps and pains since the few days before I got my bfp so hoping this is normal and nothing to worry about. Once again I can't really remember from when I had my son! How's everyone else feeling?
