Hello! I haven’t seen a thread so thought I’d start one for any other mums expecting December babies :-)
I’m 24, this is #2 (have a DS who is 4) and EDD is 3/12/18!
Had an early mc in Feb so feeling quite anxious still.

OP posts:

Thanks mrstea and balala I have scan on Thursday as I spoke to my gp and he said as my daughter had slapcheek along with cramps and a small bleed I am going to have an early scan. I'll be 6 + 4. So hopefully they can see everything is ok.

MrsTeaPlease · 12/04/2018 21:33

skittle Sorry to hear it didn't go smoothly.

Mentally, a c section is the only way forward for me this time. I am also going to a different hospital this time, as I think I would have massive anxiety going back to the same one.

How many weeks are you now aaronpurr ? I'm waiting for the sickness to hit still! I'm only 5+5 So thinking it'll hit in the next few weeks!

AaronPurrSir · 12/04/2018 21:38

MrsTeaPlease I’m 6w5d today, it’s been in the last couple of days that it’s really stepped up.

MrsTeaPlease · 12/04/2018 21:38

Good luck with the scan mamabooks it's good that your gp is taking those steps as a precaution. I thought my son had slapped cheek last week but turned out it wasn't. Hope your daughter is feeling better now.

balalalala · 13/04/2018 12:17

Good luck with the scan. It was so reassuring for me. Hope everyone is feeling OK today.

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 13/04/2018 12:27

Thank you 😙
Is everyone else getting a little bit more excites when they go up a day? Does anyone have any apps to track? I look forward to my daily email 😁

kayshaba · 13/04/2018 14:34

Fififiesta · 13/04/2018 14:55

Hello, may I join?

I've recently found out that I am pregnant with #2, this is very much wanted Grin but I am now terrified of mc Sad so hoping that posting here will keep me positive.

VERY early days (4w), I have ZERO symptoms - please tell me this is normal! I seem to remember my boobs being enormous immediately when I was pregnant with DC1?????

Buenavista · 13/04/2018 17:07

Hi all, can I join in too? I’m about 5 weeks, also no. 2, DS is 2.5. No sickness here yet, making the most of that it was so bad last time. Just feel crampy and sore boobs, but yes a bit flushed and get bit breathless going up stairs already. This one is also ridiculously wanted, this is bfp no. 7 so not getting too excited just yet. Really want to chat about it all though! Which apps are you using?

Usernamechecksout · 13/04/2018 19:04

I have pregnancy + and sprout. I haven’t really been checking them though. First pregnancy I must have checked every day, this time not so much!

I have been having a bit of nausea and a sudden intense feeling that I need to gag. Couldn’t get past the fish counter at the supermarket today! Last pregnancy I had no nausea at all, so hoping it won’t get much worse.

MrsTeaPlease · 13/04/2018 19:15

Hi to all the new ladies! I think I spoke too soon about not having nausea yet as woke up in the night feeling ready to vom! Have had awful cramps all day which I'm hoping is just trapped wind and nothing bad (is worrying me though), also fainted at the drs surgery this afternoon. Really hoped I might be lucky and not get the sickness this time! Supposed to be having a takeaway tonight but I can barely eat now Sad that's the end to my constant hunger then!! Hope everyone else has had a better day!

MrsTeaPlease · 13/04/2018 19:16

I've downloaded ovia as used that last time with my son, haven't looked at it much though yet!

balalalala · 13/04/2018 19:35

Oh no mrsteaplease you poor thing. I'm definitely not fancying much and definitely only savoury stuff.

Welcome new ladies! Hoping for sticky ones for you. I've downloaded babycentre again but likewise hardly looked at it!

PopTheRainbowdrops · 13/04/2018 19:58

I didn't realize how awful my daughter's nappies smell (just wet, no poo!). Or my husband's farts. FML. "Morning" sickness my arse!

0lgaDaPolga · 13/04/2018 20:40

Hi all. Morning sickness has hit pretty hard this week. I’m 6+4 today and it started at 6 weeks last time and lasted until 16 weeks Sad I’m hoping it won’t be as bad as I’m finding it hard to look after my baby when I’m feeling like this.

I’m hoping to get an elective csection too. Had a horrific birth last time and ended up with ptsd from it so hopefully they will let me have one on mental health grounds. The midwife at my booking in actually asked me if I’d want a home birth. I was like Shock you do have on my notes that I nearly died last time right?! Confused

0lgaDaPolga · 13/04/2018 20:42

Pop the rainbow- I’m with you on the nappies. I was gagging whilst changing my sons today. And feeding him purée Envy

PopTheRainbowdrops · 13/04/2018 20:53

Olga - this was the bagged one left in a bin upstairs that did me in >.< I don't remember being this bad with number one! I had to sit in a different room to my DD having dinner this afternoon as the fish smell was horrendous!

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 13/04/2018 21:24

welcome buenavista!
mrstea that sounds like a really rubbish time of it. Did the doctor seem concerned that you fainted?

I'm really loving checking my apps! I think I may be a little bit too obsessive....

I am super tired today and had a 2 and half hour nap this afternoon. Does anyone else find their boobs are the most sore when they've been sleeping? My whole body aches when ive been getting up in the morning.
It's Saturday tomorrow which means an awesome lay-in!

SpongeBobGrannyPants · 13/04/2018 23:37

Hi, can I join? I'm on the Dec 18 group in 'Pregnancy' too. Think it may be a duplicate but I've not cross referenced to check if everyone on there is here and vice versa.

My EDD is 22/12/18 based on OV or 15/12 based on LMP. Fourth pregnancy. 2DC. Age 35.

MrsTeaPlease · 14/04/2018 09:22

Lol. I'm glad my son isn't in nappies anymore as that would definitely set me off. Not looking forward to bum wiping today though ConfusedSad that might be eventful!
mamabooks no she didn't seem too bothered even though my blood pressure was low because of it and heart rate really fast. She did add in a nice if you get any chest or leg pain go to hospital as it might be a blood clot though! Joy! She was a bit strange though, told her I had a boy already so she said 'So you really want a girl this time then?' Urm no. I just want a healthy baby! The appointment was to do paperwork for midwife referral form. The drs called me to book an appointment too after I called the midwives. Has anyone else had to do that? Don't remember having any doc appointment with my son. Wish I hadn't bothered after bloody fainting there!

Tori3535 · 14/04/2018 09:23

Hi all, I’m also on the Dec Pregnancy board. Age 36 and 6 weeks along.
Totally exhausted and feel nauseous 24/7. I find if I’m hungry it gets worse so I need to eat all the time (and no doubt will be the size of a house soon) even got snacks by my bed for when I wake up!

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 14/04/2018 11:28

Hi sponge and tori!

I am so exhausted! It's 11:30am and I am ready for a nap. Not sure I can get away with it though as have dc1 who is full of beans this morning. I woke at 3am and 5am desperate for a wee and had a tummy ache because I need a wee so bad.
I also had a panh go wagamamas when I woke this morning :D
