To top off my twisted ovary from last week, I also have a fibroid on my right hand side. This has grown with the pregnancy hormones but is apparently starting to breakdown which causes pain. The main feeling I have is pressure very close to the ovary (I thought it was twisting again at first). It makes lying on my side painful but seems to go overnight if I sleep well, the pressure then builds up again in the evening. Gynaecologist is ok with the situation and position of the fibroid. Hopefully it stops growing, it’s a bit bigger than a golf ball at the moment.

I used to go to the gym 2-3x a week pre pregnancy, the last week or so my stomach muscles have weakened so much! I now look pregnant after I eat as I can’t really pull the bump in, but every morning I have a reasonably flat stomach. I’m going to start swimming once the operation stitches are out.
I’m 7w+6. My nausea has reduced a bit this week, has anyone else had this? Boobs still hurt and very tired but am grateful not to feel sick all day anymore.

No sooner do I write I feel less nauseous and I’m hit with a bad bout of it. I’m still signed off work post operation, I was just getting ready to go in and pick up some work to do at home and boom feel horrendous! 😔

@ATP1000 you've had a tough run of it! Go easy on yourself. Swimming will be nice but don't rush into it.

I am suddenly feeling completely exhausted. Like I could happily go back to bed now and sleep all day! and slightly nauseous - seems to be kept at bay if I eat constantly. Such a hardship.

Kitty610 · 13/03/2018 16:32

I just found this thread, thought the other one had gone very quiet! I’m coming up for 9 weeks and the sickness is just getting worse and worse. Also really tired.

Sparkleystork · 13/03/2018 16:50

Just wanted to say hi to everyone on the bus. First term pregnant at 42!!! Booking in appointment tomorrow. Desperate for a scan as gaining a bump and only 8 wks 5 days. Just want to make sure it’s not ectopic. Constantly nauseous and sick in the mornings (trying to be happy as I believe it’s a good sign but it’s getting draining now).
Im a secondary teacher and Head of Year so getting through delivering an assembly this morning was quite an achievement in itself!

justtowarm · 13/03/2018 17:53

I'm with everyone feeling sick and exhausted. I work long shifts and was off today, I thought I would have a little snooze on the sofa while my little 2 year old played.... he came and threw a heavy board book on my lip which is now swollen! Wondering why am I doing this again! (Although I am really excited and pleased of course)

ATP1000 · 13/03/2018 17:53

Welcome @sparkleystork ! Have you got any sharp pain? Or had an ectopic pregnancy before? When is your scan?
Well done on the assembly, I can barely function in the mornings at the moment.

Hi @kitty610, I’m sorry you’re feeling so ill, this morning sickness is no joke is it!

Thanks @effram, I’ve been taking it easy today, tomorrow is another day! Fingers crossed that I’ll be slightly more productive!

@ATP1000
Thanks. No pain or any bleeding and never been pregnant before. TTC for 6 months and because of my age I’m trying not to get too excited and keep expecting the worse hence thinking that the tummy I’m developing is actually a sign of ectopic, even though I have never seen that as a symptom.
Don’t know when my scan is-I guess I will find out at booking in appointment tomorrow.

HannahCM · 13/03/2018 18:20

@Sparkleystork I know how you feel I'm a primary school teacher and head of phase and I'm constantly trying to put on a smiling face when I'm feeling horrible.
Feel like other staff members are starting to notice I'm not readily stepping up and volunteering like I normally would. I normally go above and beyond but just can't at the moment. Can't wait to get to the point of telling people so I can feel less judged.

Anyone else dealing with painful constipation and bloating? Anyone have any ideas to relieve these symptoms? Besides the pain my stomach has doubled in size with bloating.

DameSylvieKrin · 13/03/2018 19:17

I'm joining late, I'm 8w today after several failed IVF cycles. I have a four month old baby but this is my first pregnancy. My due date is 23rd October, which would be my baby's first birthday but obviously very unlikely to be that day.
It hasn't been going well so far as I have multiple cysts trapping the nerves in my leg and can barely walk; at some points in the day I can't stand long enough to change a nappy so my poor OH is doing way too much. This is my third week off work. No symptoms of torsion yet but encouraging to hear ATP's story if it should happen.
I had two scans last week, one this and will have one next week and the week after. So far a heartbeat each time and the size is fine.
I'm getting the Panorama test next week so looking forward to having more information.
I have all the symptoms too but am quite enjoying the super smell. Yesterday I didn't have to go back in the dining room to see if the plates had been cleared because I could smell from the bedroom that they were still there. I also smelt from the bedroom the other day that the bread had been left out in the kitchen.

Thanks @Milknosugar1 I'll definitely give some of that a try!

FutureMum · 14/03/2018 06:12

Hello! I am 9 +1 now with DC2. I am 40 and had a MC two years ago, so feeling anxious. But mostly very tired and sick, nausea and dry retching whenever my stomach is empty. And I can smell everything! Had first MW appointment and scan is due in two weeeks.

EyeBaggage · 14/03/2018 07:16

Sorry to see some of you are suffering with constipation - I had it really badly with my first pregnancy and it was the worst! I used Califig syrup which seemed to help.

Sorry if TMI but has anyone had the er... opposite problem? Grin I've had diarhea constantly for at least two weeks Confused

Kitty610 · 14/03/2018 16:32

Has anyone bought anything for the baby yet? I’m still too scared to but will probably let myself get a babygrow after the 12 week scan!

FromMaddieToMummy · 14/03/2018 17:52

@Sparkleystork I feel your pain. I'm a secondary school teacher and today I've had to leave my classroom to be sickConfused poor kids were so confused !!

pumpkinpieinmyeye · 14/03/2018 18:24

@eyebaggage yes I have been suffering too! Not constant but seems worse if I eat more than usual. Hope it gets better for you soon!
I can't believe how tired I'm feeling! I have major respect for all pregnant women now!

BiscayTrafalgarFitzroy · 14/03/2018 20:27

I'm also a teacher AND I'm also constipated. Sigh. Not been sick though which is a slight relief.

@kitty haven't bought anything but I have two dds already so do have some stuff. I'm definitely going to buy something after next scan.

@milk sorry I have no idea If u can wait with a uti but hope it eases soon.

I feel miserable today nauseas and getting a cold/headache /runny eyes. Grrrr.

Hope everyone else is going ok

ATP1000 · 15/03/2018 15:46

Congratulations @twobambinos! 12 weeks already!! I’m at 8+1, I’m sorry that you’re still feeling nauseous, I’m really hoping mine clears up by 12 weeks! How did you find it with your other pregnancies?

OP posts:
twobambinos · 15/03/2018 16:21

Awe thanks @atp it never went with the other two. But the vomiting has def not been as bad this time so I'm hopeful it will disappear completely soon..

I'm actually due the end of Sept but based on history I'll be telling everyone it's Oct to avoid the have u not had the baby yet messages. Its very tiring

2ndPGchimp · 15/03/2018 17:13

@Milknosugar1 my understanding is that you shouldn't wait with utis while pregnant. If you tell the doc on the phone that you are of they might give you antibiotics straightaway

9 weeks today and had my booking in appointment. Can’t wait for a scan, I really feel like time is dragging and I want to tell everyone!

By the end of the day I have a very definite bump. I think I’m going to be huge! Can’t wear any of my fitted tops now, it will be too obvious at work. Bugger. Think I’ll have to go shopping!
