Thanks for the new thread . Not posted for a while . Had a private scan 2weeks ago and they put my dates at 5weeks but I was certain I was 7 so went back for another one on Friday and my dates have gone up to 8+4 so puts me about right as what I was thinking. So after a very anxious 2 week wait we saw baby's heartbeat Grin
After 2 previous miscarriages I am elated . Think I may tell DM and MIL today

Mayah · 11/03/2018 12:17

@RhiBee29 due date twins. I'm also 7wks today, due 28th October.

Last pregnancy ended in MC at 12wks. I'm having no symptoms this time round, not half making me anxious. Most days I feel like I'm just waiting for 'it' to happen.. miserable, I know. Blush

EffRam · 11/03/2018 14:09

Had a private scan this morning, got to see the heart pounding away which was really amazing! I've had no symptoms to speak of so was reassuring to see it is all ok in there! They put me at 7+4 so brought due date forward to 24th October.

It was just a blob, but how amazing! I wish there was window into my tummy to see it whenever I wanted haha!

RhiBee29 · 11/03/2018 16:17

@Mayah same boat here, mc at 6+4 last time, anxiety is through the roof! Hope everything is plain sailing for the rest of your pregnancy.

Mayah · 11/03/2018 18:57

@Rhibee29 hope the best for us both of us. Have you got any appointments yet?

RhiBee29 · 11/03/2018 22:26

Yes booking in appointment on 22nd so I'm focused on reaching that point, taking it step by step, how about you?

FrauNeuer · 12/03/2018 11:01

Hello ladies and welcome newbies. Smile

effram that’s awesome news! It’s such a reassuring feeling seeing that little heartbeat. I wish I could see it everyday, too!

I got my letter from the hospital for my scan and it’s not until 29th March by which point I’ll (hopefully) be 13+3. I’ll go crazy with worry if I wait until then, so I’m considering getting a private scan next week when lol be 12 weeks.

I’m enormous, too, and haven’t told anyone except both sets of parents so I’ve been lying low trying to avoid friends for weeks because looking at me it’d be pretty obvious what’s going on!

Anyone else huge like me? I’m normally a petite size 8/10 and nothing fits anymore! Blush

pumpkinpieinmyeye · 12/03/2018 11:17

Hi ladies, hope everyone is doing well. I've been rather quiet on here but begining to feel a little more real at 9 weeks! I've got my booking in appointment next week and am really looking forward to getting a date in the diary for my first scan.

I did I have private one booked for last week but my husband had a work commitment that was hard for us to cancel financially! I'm fine waiting but just wish we knew when!

A TMI question here... Is anyone else suffering frequent bouts of diarrhea (?) Lately? I seem to swap between that and constipation, yay!

Troika · 12/03/2018 12:53

Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven’t been posting much, scared shitless it’s going to be another mmc so trying to not get too involved.

I don’t even have my booking appointment until 5th April when I’ll be 11+2. God knows when my scan will be. I know it can be up til 13+6. My only issue with waiting til then (apart from not seeing if baby is ok) is that with my third my triple test result was 1:44 so I had a cvs test which can also only be done up until 13+6. If my results are high risk again this time then I’ll have to wait until they can do an amnio at 16 weeks. I know it’s only a couple of weeks but it’s a long time when you are worried.

twobambinos · 12/03/2018 13:21

Congrats on the scan boringbetty that's a good example of how the dates can be wrong.

Troika everything is a worry isn't it. Was meant to see my gp today over something that's concerning me. And it was postponed only by a few days but my anxiety levels are through the roof. Nothing will happen in the few days to change the situation.

Pumpkin yes with the diahorrea not suffering but one incident yesterday after I ate the most food I managed in the whole pregnancy so far I had a bump after it. Serious explosion my God it was unpleasant.

twobambinos · 12/03/2018 13:23

Troika could you request an early scan based on your history? I guess it depends what week you MMC was at as to weather that might reassure you though. I had an early scan paid private due to previous early loss.

Antonia79 · 12/03/2018 13:43

Hello everyone, I’d like to join please?

After almost 8 years of trying, we had our 2nd IVF cycle in January and it was successful! I got my first ever BFP and I’m currently 9w+5d, EDD is 10th Oct.

We had a reassurance scan when I was 7.5w as I’m a high risk for ectopic and everything looked as it should, did not expect to hear a heartbeat so I jumped a mile when they turned the sound on!

I have my booking appointment this Thursday and will hopefully get a date for the official first scan.

I’m taking each day as it comes as I know anything can happen. Queasy feeling comes and goes and luckily no actual throwing up (as yet). I can’t stop scoffing TUC crackers, mixed nuts, bananas and pieces of melons into my mouth and I can go from being wide awake to suddenly fast asleep at a drop of a hat Smile

2ndPGchimp · 12/03/2018 13:48

Thanks for the new thread @ATP1000 and welcome to all the newbies. I had such a crazy weekend with birthday, hen and Mother's Day activities that I am exhausted, but had been so focused on getting all that done that I had sort of forgotten I am now 10+1! Don't have my scan until just after Easter as we are on holiday the week before (booked before we knew!), but even that feels not tooooooo far away now.

Katievb · 12/03/2018 15:15

I am 10w+4 today... quick question I get cramps through the day, they arnt severe and they do come and go. Is this all normal? It’s so difficult because I’ve never been pregnant before and worry about everything 🙈 xx

Filzma · 12/03/2018 16:14

Hi @Katievb, I remember those cramps the first time round. They would go and come back. I don't have it this time so maybe just your uterine muscles stretching for the first time?Hmm
If it gets painful though, definitely call midwife.

Penguina · 12/03/2018 20:27

Place marking on this thread.

Is anyone else still breastfeeding a toddler?im curious to know when he should only have one side- if that’s how it works !?

Only 8weeks and still convinced it won’t stick - i HATE the first trimester!!

Katievb · 12/03/2018 20:37

Thank you Filzma!! Xxx

Belles86 · 12/03/2018 21:25

@Katievb I’m 10+3 and I’ve had them since week 4 (which I was convinced then was period pains). Mine aren’t quite as bad as normal actual period pain but defo the same kind of crampiness. My main thing at the moment is ligament pain when sneezing 😂

SkyLucy · 12/03/2018 21:57

Hi @penguina, I'm breastfeeding my 1 yr old. Intrigued by your note on only feeding on one side....what's that about?? Whilst your preggers, or do you mean for tandem feeding? (Sorry, I'm clueless, this pregnancy has caught me somewhat by surprise!)

monkerina · 13/03/2018 06:23

Hey Penguina, currently sat here feeding my 2 year old Smile don't think he'd be amenable to picking a side and sticking with it! Colustrum and extra milk won't harm them when the new baby arrives.

EffRam · 13/03/2018 07:07

@katievb I have the period type pain too, I'm 7+6 now and it has been on and off since I found out! And @belles86 yes the sneezing pain, or coughing, if I'm lying at the wrong angle in bed owwww!

Hi, to the ladies that have had/got ovarian cysts- what did it feel like? I've been having some pain in my right lower hip and pelvis for a few days and there is definitely some hardening there when you touch it in comparison to the left....

Just wondered whether this is similar to anything you have felt?

Penguina · 13/03/2018 07:56

@monkerina @skylucy I actually have no idea about it. I thought I’d read somewhere when tandem feeding they have a side each and I was curious if that should begin in pregnancy. That’s assuming we get that far - I’ve also read and heard that things change around 16 weeks so we will have to see if he continues! Id like it to as I had a terrible start to breastfeeding and I now love it!

monkerina · 13/03/2018 08:39

Ooh I'd not heard that before! I have a couple of friends who tandem feed, I've never paid that much attention but will check; think theirs have always taken from each side interchangeably. It's not like each boob produces significantly different milk (although apparently one side is heavier on protein, the other on carbs, which is why baby sometimes prefers one side during a growth spurt). DS has been a bit weird in his feeding habits recently- normally feeds just once at bedtime, last night didn't want any then demanded a half hour feed this morning and told me my boobs were gold! (he doesn't have many words and has never commented before!)

I think last time first trimester symptoms eased a bit by 11 weeks, looking forward to it 🤢😴
