I got one of the giant u shaped ones from wowcher a while back for £15. I roll about so much in my sleep though so I hate it and end up tangles and throwing it out the bed 😆
Hoping by the time I have to use it all the time I will be bigger so stay still a bit more!

Katievb · 12/05/2018 09:57

Has anyone started buying stuff for the baby yet? I’ve bought a few second hand bits from Ebay! My friend said I can have her Chicco next to me crib that her little girl has only used for a few months! Looking forward to hearing about everyone’s 20 week scan! I’ve got mine next week Grin

ConfusionIsNothingNew · 12/05/2018 10:08

After a terrible midwife experience last week (both community midwives couldn't find the heartbeat so I got sent to hospital....where they found it within 30 seconds lol!) I booked a private well-being/sexing scan and we're having a girl! Already have a DS and really wouldn't have minded either way but it's lovely news anyway!

I've been feeling the odd flutter for a few weeks now but haven't felt too much the last few days and now I'm worried something is wrong! But hopefully she's just moved into a strange position. I don't remember being this neurotic in my first pregnancy!

Hayleyxmx · 12/05/2018 11:44

@Katievb I have bought so much as soon as I found out I was having a little girl I couldn’t resist 🙈 and pram ordered we went for a silver cross wave. I say start spending makes it feel more real 😉 I’m just buying a variety of sizes not going crazy with newborn clothing.

@confusion sorry to hear of your troubles but glad to hear everything was ok in the end and you have a healthy little girl on the way. And before 20 weeks the flutters always come and go 🙂

RhiBee29 · 12/05/2018 14:24

@ConfusionIsNothingNew I'm definitely more neurotic second time round. I think I've felt some flutters this week. 16wk appt on Thursday and private scan Saturday to surprise DS with the news.

Top tip Asda jeggins £12.50, so comfy!

Hi everyone sorry I have lots of reading to catch up on since my last post in March. Hope you all doing well. So the sickness at 6 weeks turned out to be Hyperemesis Gravidarum and the scan revealed all was well with buba and not eptopic but I do have a dermoid cyst 10x10x5 cm in one ovary and another smaller cyst and fibroids in other ovary. The HG has been awful and I ended up off work for two weeks (but no meds) and then in hospital over Easter needing IV fluids and luckily gave me cyclizine. Returned to school (I’m a secondary teacher) after Easter and lasted two weeks before GP wanted to sign me off again. I went to see them to ask about increasing dose or alternative meds as still sick on a daily basis. On Max dose and GP doesn’t want to try alternatives hence signing off work offered. I refused but did go for altered hours after being made to feel that continued working would be going against their advice. I am just on mornings at the moment and counting down the days to half term. Had an MRI last week and waiting to find out results. I’m currently 17 weeks and had the harmony test done at 10 weeks so we know it’s a boy. Just a bit worried about the cyst tbh and what the best course of action is. Consultant so far has been “let’s leave it alone during pregnancy” but done the whole google search this morning (I know, I know... it’s not big and it’s not clever!) and so many different opinions and stories and experiences. I’m off now to catch up on everyone’s news but if anyone can help on the dermoid cyst or in similar position please get in touch. Lots of love and sparkles to you all x

I’m reading The Positive Birth Book at the moment, and as a first-timer I’m finding it very reassuring.

Doll87 · 13/05/2018 19:31

Baby movement update: little baby has been wriggling so much over the past week, and today is the first day we've actually been able to see little jab like twitches on my tummy 💗💗💗 no longer feels like flutter, more defined movements and kicks! I've been playing mine and my husbands song to her and she gets all wriggly! Amazing! X

Belles86 · 14/05/2018 09:21

@Doll87 Aw wow, that's amazing! How far along are you? I'm 19.5 weeks and starting to become more convinced what I'm feeling is little one :)

mintich · 14/05/2018 09:53

I've felt a few flutters but nothing definite. Although didn't feel anything until 23 weeks last time!

Doll87 · 14/05/2018 12:12

I am 20+3 weeks. i only feel her at the end of the day when i'm resting with my legs up on the sofa. no feeling during the day as of yet...wont it be lovely when we can just feel them throughout the day and are able to locate their positions in our tummies! I'm starting to really enjoy pregnancy now i've hit the 1/2 way mark, and i'm starting to look preggo rather than chubs! We are looking into nursery furniture atm, but its hard to tell what its like online. i'm more of a touchy feely kinda girl but there's nowhere to go look at it instore. what is everyone else looking at or got? any recommendations?

Belles86 · 14/05/2018 12:34

cool! Yeah I feel something maybe once or twice a day. A banana just got a response so no doubt I'll be tempted to make this my fruit of choice! No furniture yet, apart from my fella painted back bedroom yesterday and we've ordered a lampshade! (big spenders..)
Plan on buying a chicco next to me second hand and we're getting a hand me down 1st gen bugaboo pram. Otherwise stuff on the list is, a bouncer and an electric breast pump..(conjures a weird image when put in same sentence..)

Katievb · 14/05/2018 14:03

Have a look at Izziwotnot for nursery furniture.. it is online but I think the stuff is really nice! I’ve just got a cot from a family member and it’s from there. Xx

Katievb · 14/05/2018 14:05

I also got a secondhand chicco next to me and just bought a new mattress for it off EBay for £20 Grin

XxSunshinexX · 14/05/2018 14:57

Hi all, first time posting and wondered if I could join? I am due 11th October and have my 20 week scan next week :)

I was just wondering whether you are all finding out the sex of your baby? We can't decide and keep chaning our mind on a daily basis about whether to find out or not!

Penguina · 14/05/2018 15:12

Hey everyone! I’ve been absent for weeks on here as been so busy with work and other children. Lots of movements here at 17 weeks which is lovely as last pregnancy nothing til past 20 weeks as had anterior placenta.

Also feel bad as I joined the Facebook group and immediately bolted once i realised it was a combo of netmums and mumsnet which is nothing like my previous ante natal groups and it was for autumn babies rather than just October which I wasn’t overly comfortable with so I’ll stick on here for now unless someone has made another ! Mumsnetsnob!!

Still another few weeks to go until we can chuck away all our boy or girl clothes but everything is going so bloody fast !

We also had some reasonably good news which is that our dd showed no further indications of a genetic condition although she remains under investigation, which is sort of a weight off for this baby although in incredibly paranoid !!

sparkling123 · 15/05/2018 15:02

Hi everyone and Hi Sunshine! I'm joining late to the party like you Smile
I'm due 18th October, so about 17 and half weeks pregnant, first baby and can't wait. Congratulations to everyone, I'm very jealous of people who are getting lots of kicks, had one kick on Sunday so waiting for another soon hopefully!

ATP1000 · 15/05/2018 22:13

Hi everyone

I’ve created a new thread so that we can continue the October 2018 baby bus. Only one page left on ours and once it completes we can’t share this link so getting this done now .... all aboard!

Hi everyone - hi sparkling and Sunshine, my first post too Smile I'm 19+3, due 7th October, I've just had my 20-week scan and baby is fine. I might try and relax and enjoy my pregnancy now lol. Hope everyone else's scans are going ok xx

2ndPGchimp · 16/05/2018 17:08

Ooh @TinyTerror1 we are due date buddies, but we don't have our scan until 31 May, so ages to wait! I can feel a few more kicks now which is reassuring. Glad your scan went well!

TinyTerror1 · 16/05/2018 17:18

Thanks @2ndPGchimp, hope yours goes well too! I'm pretty sure I felt baby hiccuping for the first time yesterday, it was really odd Grin
