@EffRam do you have Facebook? There is a marketplace on there and quite a few local pages for selling stuff I.e I'm on a Lanarkshire buy and sell page. Similar to gumtree, I spotted a venicci pram that was selling for under £200 when new it's £700 odd. I'll be getting mine second hand!

Sometimes I think I'm starting to show but then other times I think it's just bloat! I'm 14+1. Had to put on my pre peggo black jeans for work today which are a size smaller than I wear now. The hair band around the button isn't really cutting it so think it will be off to buy new trousers at lunch!

Hayleyxmx · 02/05/2018 11:08

I’m going 16+2 and finally starting to show I’m only a petite size 8 so none of my clothes fit and I’m living in stretchy t-shirt dresses they cling nicely around my small bump so I look pregnant rather just looking like I’ve had to many cakes 🙂

Belles86 · 02/05/2018 11:52

I had a small bump at 14 weeks and it's become more pronounced the past few days (18 weeks tomo). I've actually started finding getting up out of a lying position more tricky recently which I'm finding horrifying/hilarious at some early on..Although as someone said to me recently, we're almost half way there.. Shock

Hotchocolate86 · 02/05/2018 12:03

Whoever asked about tea I can’t drink it at all. I usually drink about 5 cups a day so I miss it.
I still only feel very occasional possible movements. I’m looking forward to feeling proper ones. I have a definite bump though. 17 weeks now and it’s been appearing for the last 4 weeks or so. I’m properly in maternity clothes.
I ordered an ergobaby omni 360 carrier yesterday. I can’t wait for it to arrive. I used an ergobaby with my son a couple of years ago and loved it. It was used almost every day so I’m hoping this baby likes it too. It’s one where the baby can face outwards as well when they get a bit older.
Congratulations on the little boy cluelessss. It’s amazing how they can tell he might be tall already. I suspect I’m having a little boy but I’ve got a long wait to find out and I was wrong with both my other two so I don’t have a good track record for guessing.

I bought a cheap double pushchair really early on milk. It’s a Phil and teds dot. I hope it will do us. My son hates going in the pushchair so it’s really only going to be for long days out or really bad weather. Otherwise I’ll use either the carrier or the single pushchair I’ve already got that I love.
Do you think I need to buy a new mattress for the cradle? I bought one new for my son two years ago and it’s been in storage in my mums loft since then.

2ndPGchimp · 02/05/2018 17:26

@Hotchocolate86 I have heard you should get new mattresses even between siblings.

I would definitely go with second hand for other stuff. We got an uppababy vista from eBay for our first. Honestly looked brand new when we bought it for about 1/3 of the new price. It won't look like new for number 2 mind!BlushI don't know how people keep them so pristine! There are also some 'baby clothes libraries' operating alongside baby banks where you can borrow a bundle of clothes say age 0-3 and then bring back a bundle to swap for 3-6 (usually for a donation to the charity) I volunteered at one and they had loads of lovely clothes!

I have definitely got a bump at 17+2, random strangers are noticing!

I am getting really down with the constant round of nausea and constipation. Is anyone else still suffering? Textures seem to be a real trigger for me, if I have to chew anything more than a couple of times it can make me retch, then I am put off the meal all together!

2ndPGchimp · 02/05/2018 17:29

@twobambinos I love the idea of a due date list but no idea how we create one, do we just copy and paste into the next message and add our own?

MadeInWolves · 02/05/2018 17:39

Hi everyone! Can I join the bus please?

EDD 20th October. Baby #2 (DS is 16 months).

I've also been unable to drink tea and it's thoroughly miserable!!

Anyone else on here based in Ireland??

lovesrunning · 02/05/2018 19:08

Welcome @MadeInWolves! I think @twobambinos is also in Ireland.

I’ve also been off tea for a few weeks which sucks as I love tea but this seems to be a really common thing I think.

I’ve got a bump now and am finding it hard to get used to everyone at work - adults and kids - glancing at it all the time. I’m getting self conscious even though I know this is totally normal. People are commenting on it and I guess I’m just not used to having people noticing how I look or making comments so I feel a bit weird. Does anyone else?

Finding out the sex tomorrow hopefully! Thanks for the good luck @cluelessss. I have family and my BFF in Norwich by the way so visit whenever I’m in the UK. Lovely place :)

Good luck for Friday @atp and @rhi - hopefully the waiting will finally be over for you and you can relax and enjoy.

@justtowarm what have you been up to to pass the time? Hope all ok and no more bleeding.

Hotchocolate86 · 02/05/2018 19:35

Thanks 2ndpgchimp I might have to make sure I get a new mattress then in that case.

ATP1000 · 02/05/2018 20:50

Just starting my search for a pushchair and found this website www.buggyrevival.com
I don’t know about the quality and how they refurbish them but it looks interesting. Has a 30 day returns policy which is a good start!

@lovesrunning I'm still bleeding Confused but I have checked the babies heartbeat twice today both times lovely and right in the middle of the perfect range. Getting a Doppler has made it so much easier to relax. I have a GP appointment tomorrow so she will check then. My mum has been around today helping with my little boy so that has been nice and distracting Smile

Good luck tomorrow, let us know how it goes. I am counting down the days until my 20 week scan, it's on the 23rd I will find out the gender then (well after them checking everything is ok Smile).

RhiBee29 · 03/05/2018 10:08

Hospital called...I'm all clear GrinStarThanksCakeGlitterball

justtowarm · 03/05/2018 10:20

Yay congratulations @RhiBee29 I'm so pleased for you!

Cluelessss · 03/05/2018 10:29

@Hotchocolate86 either that or he just had a quick growth spurt! I didn’t have any feelings towards what I thought it would be.. she did say girl at first because she couldn’t see to much.

@RhiBee29 perfect news!! And now relax, as much as you can when pregnant anyway! So much worrying all the time

@lovesrunning ah no way, small world! And same due date if I can remember correctly 🙂 how exciting, today is the day.. blue or pink 🤗

ladydolly · 03/05/2018 10:33

Great news reebee!!

I haven't felt as many kicks for 24 hours so got doppler out and it's in a totally different position to where I normally find heartbeat so guess its just tucked away at the moment!

ATP1000 · 03/05/2018 11:05

Congratulations @rhibee29 !! That’s fantastic news, hopefully now you can settle into your pregnancy and enjoy all the good bits xx

Congratulations @RhiBee29 bet that's a weight off your mind!

Just been to try on new bras and been told I should really be looking at non wired bras now Confused
Sceptical because I'm rather full busted (normally an E cup but just found I would be sized into a FF or G just now) and just don't think non wired would give the lift I need? Anyone in the same boat and found maternity bras are ok? Or are you just sticking with standard ones? I guess the problem with wired may be constantly having to buy new bigger ones since I've another 6 months to go!

Belles86 · 03/05/2018 13:49

@RhiBee29 glad you've had good news :)

Think I've felt movement yesterday and today but can't be sure..
Pram/travel systems are doing my head in. Can't really afford to spend megabucks so we're also gonna go down second hand route.

Has anyone had a joolz pram? We had a play at JL and liked it. My fave was the Uppababy vista but I found it a bit tough for me to lift carrycot from..(clearly need to get back to gym)..

Antonia79 · 03/05/2018 14:02

Midwife appointment yesterday for the ‘16 week’ check up. I was actually 17w3d yesterday but blood pressure and wee sample were both fine.

She said we’ll try and see if we can hear the baby’s heartbeat too. Found mine easily enough (72 bpm) then had a hunt around for the baby’s and oh my God, I almost jumped out of my skin when she found it. It sounded like a bloody freight train at full speed! Loud, steady and 157 bpm. I didn’t realise how anxious I was until we heard it!

I’ll be calm now until next week when I start counting down the days until the anomaly scan on the 22nd May.

RhiBee29 · 03/05/2018 15:32

Thanks everyone. Just got home to a letter confirming that I'm low risk for Downs and another with appointment for 20wk scan on 7th June. It's a good day Grin

Hotchocolate86 · 03/05/2018 16:32

Great news rhibee. I bet you feel very relieved now.

DogMumOfOne · 03/05/2018 20:33

Hi everyone, haven't checked in for ages but I've been reading along with everyone's updates :) I still haven't made any real life friends who are at the same stage but hoping to get to know people through our getting to know your baby classes at the hospital.
Anyone else based in Belfast?
My 20 week scan is on 18th May and I'll be 21 weeks at that stage. We aren't finding out the gender.
Anyone else getting proper baby brain? My memory is shocking at the moment and I'm having lots of very ditzy moments!
I've not felt any movement yet but I've got a noisy tummy so I may have been ignoring little feelings haha!
Everyone take care x
