Morning,

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
cameroonmama · 30/04/2007 19:52

If you do have to go the cs route Julie, don't be too worried about it, my recovery was v quick with both, the first time I felt 'cheated' that I hadn't managed to labour naturally, the second time I realised it didn't matter and this time I just can't wait to have my baby and not to have had the hours labouring before hand

Daisybump · 30/04/2007 19:53

Hey...what's wrong with June ...We're all watching you guys now the April lot are starting to dry up.....Good Luck or Congrats to you all!!

megandsoph · 30/04/2007 19:57

Congrats TMP. Love the name Victoria

Hiya LG&T I remember having a natter with you on NJ's long labour thread along with lulu and Marsy. I sooooooo take my hat of to you having had so many babies. Am really worried about dealing with three children but always knew deep down I would have more than two. It's all good fun.

Never imagined after Mning for two years I would be on one of these threads waiting for the count down, it's Brill!

largeginandtonic · 30/04/2007 20:03

AbbyLou · 30/04/2007 20:13

Many congratulations TMP, I too had watery eyes at her size! Lovely name, can't wait to see some piccies!

Gingerbear · 30/04/2007 21:11

Heard via Hulababy today - drkgpink had a baby boy on 29th April. I have no more details yet, but he was 9 days early.

Congratulations!!

AbbyLou · 30/04/2007 21:28

Oh my God, babies, babies, babies - they're flying out now aren't they! Congratulations dr!

cameroonmama · 30/04/2007 21:32

Gingerbear, send her our congratulations! Gosh and its not even May until tomorrow, how exciting!

MKG · 30/04/2007 21:38

First,

I am totally for a meet up in NYC as I only live 45 minutes away from Manhattan.

Woo Hoo for TooManyProjects!!

Welcome MegandSoph.

Just needed to post how stoked I am that I arrived home and 16 8oz containers of ready to serve enfamil was on my doorstep. I signed up to get coupons from all three major formula companies and they all just keep sending me coupons and free formula (Nestle is my favorite brand though shhh)

I know free samples aren't really done over there, but I say, if I can get something for free, then by all means let's do it. Now I'm totally stocked on formula. I'm going to give bfing a go but it's nice to know that backup is in the cupboard if I get frustrated.

MKG · 30/04/2007 21:39

Drgpink Woo Hoo for you too!!

God, the reality is sinking in that this baby will come out at some point. With ds I didn't believe it would happen until I was about oh . . .10 cm dilated.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 30/04/2007 21:41

Wow another one. Yey, CONGRATULATIONS Drkgpink.

Daisybump, Nothing at all wrong with June, just having done the one month before don't want to do the one after. LOL, probably will though.

Can't believe SOH didn't make it, what a shame, she's having you on!! that rock climbing event yesterday may have stirred things. She hasn't been around today. Ohhhhh Mathilda are you joining us!

Dammn, now I still don't know if she really wears a huge straw hat.

Off to bed now. night xxx

MKG, you get quite a nice pack at the hospital here in France. Lots of coupons and freebie bits. The best is the Hospital supplies though. One nappy on baby and 3 in the bag. Oooopps. Creates a nice home coming bag of nappies, oh sorry are they Dypers!

Lwatkins · 30/04/2007 21:51

OMG, another baby! Realisation is definatley starting to hit now - scary stuff.

Huge congrats to drkgpink on the arrival of your wee boy. Ooooo I want more details, I'm such an impatient ass!

BefnalBub · 30/04/2007 21:52

congrats dr and tmp! Photos please!

meet up was fab - amazing to see Ella who was very well behaved.

think we are all too shattered after the excitement and are going to bed early - after all we missed our lunchtime naps

nite nite
x

MKG · 30/04/2007 21:53

Oh I can't wait for the hospital samples. Not only do they give you a sample bag filled with formula and diapers, but the hospital staff tell you to clean out the room so all, diapers, formula supplied by the hospital, wipes, sanitary pads, lydacane cream (for general soreness of the nether regions) and anything that isn't nailed down goes home with us.

I can't wait for the hospital 2-4 days of no dog, no house, no dh, no ds to wake up (sad about that one), send this baby off to the nursery for at night. The hospital has the best chocolate cheesecake (my hospital understands that maternity patients aren't sick so we get special menus).
Isn't it sad when the only vacation I get is when I have a baby. It's like the calm before the storm.

LupinsBigLump · 30/04/2007 21:56

TMP what a beautiful name, congratulations and welcome to the world little baby

Drgpink onragts looking forward to some news on your birth

Megandsoph welcome, 29th was my due date afraid to say i jumped the que and baby arrive 5th april, good luck with the rest of your pg hope you enjoy it

MKG well done on freebies, I do love a batgain, especialy a free one

twelveyeargap · 30/04/2007 22:21

Yay for TooManyProjects and DrKGPink! Well done both of you.

Meetup was lovely. I can't get over how lovely Ella is and yes, she's amazingly good. Great to meet you all today.

I did, in fact, go shopping afterwards. Went to Bond Street to get some boots for my Dad's 60th birthday that he wanted. £190! Still, it IS a special birthday. Then thought I'd "pop into" the big Oxford St Boots to look at baby stuff. They had GORGEOUS baby clothes. Spent £30 worth of my points that I'd saved. Even DH said "awwwhhh" over the little white and navy summer dress I got. THEN I thought I'd "pop into" the new Primark to get DD some flip flops. Feck me. "Bunfight" does not even come close to describing the mayhem. It was PACKED. Battled through and found two pairs flip flops for DD at a bargainous £1 a pair, plus a little pair of canvas shoes for £4 and a smock top for me. Then saw the till queue... At LEAST 150 people long. I kid you not. Resignedly joined the end and prepared myself for a 30 min wait when a lovely security guard tapped me on the shoulder and told me I could go straight to til 14, the disabled til and skip the queue! REEEEESSSSULLLLT! Couldn't believe my luck. Toddled off after that to Monsoon to buy cute boys clothes for my boss's new baby and River Island to get DH a pair of jeans, H&M for nursing tops but couldn't be arsed with the queue after the Primark special treatment, then Mothercare for a Tummy Tub, then... Realised I was feckin WRECKED and nearly cried at the thought of getting two buses and two tubes home with all the stuff! The bag for my Dad's boots was leaving welts in my hands at this stage. Serves me right. Haven't been shopping in ages. I was enjoying myself too much to stop and have a rest. Still, feel very pleased with myself for getting loads done.

MKG, you are the queen of free stuff. I'm sure you've mentioned getting freebies before. You rock!

SOH, sorry we missed you today. I hope you're ok... I didn't hear back after I texted.

How was your tea Scoot? Did you fit it in?

Going off to admire cute baby outfits again. Night all. x

aprilmeadow · 30/04/2007 22:37

Ooh another baby!! Congratulations DrkgPink! Cant wait to hear all about the birth/baby

TYG - wow that's some shopping trip!!

I managed to get 12 KK's (well it would have been rude to walk past the kiosk!) before getting caught out by JellyBelly Managed to get the 16.12 back to Fleet. Got in the carriage where the toilets are as there is plenty of room for the buggy and it was full not one of the lazy mean bastards offered me a seat. I had to kneel on the floor by the door until we got to surbiton where 2 of them got off. Meanies!

Lwatkins · 30/04/2007 22:45

Am, you should have just rammed them with your pram. Horrible people!

I was on the bus on the weekend into the city centre and I was the only person on a full bus of STUDENTS (18-25) to offer my seat to an elderly woman on Saturday when I went to meet my sister. Poor love could barely walk, and my seat wasn't exactly near the front either. She kept saying no to taking it cause I was pregnant but I thought well, yeah but I'm young and fit and pregnant. You can barely bloody stand! These chinese girls were on the seats at the front just watching her struggle. I couldn't believe it, and nobody offered me a seat when I'd given mine up - at 36 weeks pregnant! The bus drivers are all maniacs as well, got flung everywhere! Made me very

Pebblemum · 30/04/2007 22:59

Just wanted to say congrats to TMP and Drpink on their new arrivals

Im so of all of you who are holding their little ones already.

MKG · 01/05/2007 00:33

Hey everyone,

I am not feeling so good right now. My bump is rock hard and I just feel sick all over. Hopefully it's just BH and all will be better by the morning, but I'm just not feeling right. Hopefully it's nothing a hot bath can't fix, because my house is still disgusting.

anneme · 01/05/2007 01:10

Hope you are feeling better MKG - hospital in USA sounds rather nice - can I come too?!

CONGRATS to TMP and DrPink - it's all go now....TMP that was one BIG BABY - particularly for 39 wks. Look forward to hearing all about it from both of you
(when you get your breath back that is)

LG&T - I am feeling like you - really worried that the baby will arrive in the next week before cs on the 9th and that it will end up being an emergency section etc etc. Am feeling particularly paranoid because my parents are going away for a couple of nights on Thurs and Fri before the baby arrives. If it arrives early then mum would insist on coming here and would miss out on her v well deserved short break and I would feel vvv bad.

Mrs JB and Cam - thank you v much for words of wisdom re DS. Apparently he was v good at nursery today (phew!) so fingers crossed.... he has been v sweet today. He walked into our bedroom and said "this is where the baby will sleep when it comes out but then it will sleep in my bedroom with me and I can help it go to sleep" - how sweet is that?!

Pinkjenny · 01/05/2007 07:33

Hi all

Just thought I'd nip on before work and congratulate TMP and Drpnk - so jealous, I want my baby immediately!

Had a meal last night with all my team who have come to me for the meeting today at the Albert Dock as I refused to travel any further. Got lots of presents, most of which I will attempt to return as I either have them already, or unfortunately they are Winnie the Pooh things, which I have a strange aversion to. Not to sound ungrateful or anything... It was a lovely thought though.

Off to a really boring meeting today, but will catch up later with everyone's news. Oh, and baby still breech.

Enjoy the sunshine everyone, spare a thought for us still working with our swollen ankles and tolerance deficiency... Or is that just me?

Pinkjenny · 01/05/2007 07:37

Oh, and also, ITS MAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
