Morning,

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
juliewoolie · 30/04/2007 17:50

Blimey sometimes I do wonder at blokes abilities to behave like eejits when they are drunk! Poor you hope he was suffering a mega hangover this morning and was very repentent.

megandsoph · 30/04/2007 17:57

Hi everyone. Would it be ok to join in?

I'm due 29th May.

Can't belive its almost time although this LO will probably hold on for 14 days like her sisters did.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 30/04/2007 18:31

Of course megandsoph, join away. Hello

So come on then, where's all the meet up people? I want to hear all about it. I especially want to hear if SOH really wears a straw hat?

cameroonmama · 30/04/2007 18:32

evening, I hope all had fun in London in the lovely weather.

MrsJB, sorry about M's biting, I found the frustration bit got easier when both the dc could communicate better, also ds has recently started, as an absolute last resort, when he is tired and wound up by his sister, to try and bite her, but has never bitten anyone before! I'm sure she'll grow out of it, probably sooner than you think!

Julie, I am a heffalump, I have put on at least 2 stone, but am too tired to care.. the good thing is is that the mummies at school have only every known me pregnant so when the weight comes off after the birth they will think I am slimmer than I really should be

SKY anymore twinges this afternoon? I wonder how TMP got on?

Welcome megandsoph

I'm just so tired today and missing dh who is now in New York and feeling like a country mouse lost in the Big Apple. He is staying in this amazing state of the art loft apartment, with no furniture, lots of space and shiny things, but it is totally not his thing (inspite of being an international spy). Poor man. I'm sure he'll liven up after a good night out on the tiles

juliewoolie · 30/04/2007 19:09

ooh I am soo jealous of your DH being in NY its where I met my DF and I lived there for 2 yrs. If he wants to know anywhere to go out and have a good time ask away think I frequented most bars and restaurants in NY while living there.

Do you think its so quiet on here today because the ones not at the meet up are producing lots of lovely babies?

Isnt it weird how you can have a really knackered day. Try and have an early night c and hopefully you will feel loads better tom. I am going to snuggle up in bed with some choccie and watch ER then manage a full 2 hours before I awake for the begining of the toilet marathon lol.

largeginandtonic · 30/04/2007 19:18

Oh Cam....my heart bleeds for your dh Perehaps we should arrange a similar trip post babies.

I too am a heffalump (the member pic will testify) and am too tired to care. I feel wiped out again, just like at the begining of prg. I keep thinking please dont go in to labour tonight im just too tired.

Megandsoph, welcome to you. Hope you manage to deliver in May! My last one was 14 days late, it was hellish. This one will be 3 days early due to the section.

LO going nuts at the moment, must be the coke i have just drunk. I feel arms, shoulders, legs all beating me up from the inside.

Where are all the meetup ladies?

cameroonmama · 30/04/2007 19:19

How cool Julie, living in NY, what were you doing there? What nationality is your df then? I've only been once but loved it, dh is more of a country boy poor thing, give him some African bush and he is in his element!

cameroonmama · 30/04/2007 19:24

ooooh yes, fabulous idea lg&t, a girls meet up in NY, count me in!

Do you think stuffing my face with chicken pie and chips will make me feel less tired? No.. I thought not. I have an pre-assessment appt at the hospital on Thurs, I am tempted to take my bag and say I'm not moving, take this baby out now. But dh won't be back until Fri so that wouldn't work would it? Ho hum..

I'm dying to know what those ladies have been up to in London, what adventures do you think SOH has had? Maybe Mathilda liked being in London again and has made another bid for freedom

juliewoolie · 30/04/2007 19:29

I worked as a nanny there had a great time. My DF is a good old London boy he was out there working when we met. We are thinking about going back to NY for a visit at the end of Aug with the bubba think we might be a bit mental to go transatalantic with a 2 month old but hey I am not one to do things by half!

Whats your pre assesmant all about I have never heard of that.

I think all the ladies who were lunching today have made a beeline for the new Primark to kit out their hospital bags (wink).

Mrsjaffabiffa · 30/04/2007 19:35

I think they made a pact not to come back on today as they'd know we'd being dying to see how it went.
Either that or the excitement of the day has sent them all into Labour. There will be 8 new bubba's born on the 1st May.

OP posts:
cameroonmama · 30/04/2007 19:36

I say 2 months is the perfect time to go transatlantic with a baby, he will sleep for most of the way! Easy peasy.

I am booked in for an elective section on 11th, so have to have a pre-assessment a week before at 38weeks, I'm not 100% certain why, lg&t can probably tell me.

cameroonmama · 30/04/2007 19:36

MrsJB

Mrsjaffabiffa · 30/04/2007 19:37

Maybe seeing Ella has made them all depressed. Now they are all saying, I WANT MINE NOW!

BIRTH ANOUNCEMENT!

After a one day delay in induction (labour ward too busy) Victoria Jane arrived last night at 9:51pm weighing a pretty hefty 9lb 14 oz. Needed syntocinon to keep things going and got to 7- 8cm before I gave in and asked for an epidural. Although she's 39 weeks she looks older due to size and general chunkiness! She's feeding well and we came home this afternoon.

Soon be time for more May babies as it's May tomorrow!

juliewoolie · 30/04/2007 19:39

oh you can let me know how it goes we find out on Thursday whether or not we are having a c- sec. I am kind of in 2 minds about whether or not I would prefer to push the babe out or put up with the pain of recovering from an op.

juliewoolie · 30/04/2007 19:40

congrats to you and yours well done TMP.

cameroonmama · 30/04/2007 19:41

Hey TMP, that's brilliant news well done and many congrats, welcome Victoria. Now anyone for camping

notsolilKel · 30/04/2007 19:42

Juliewoolie & others - I am a former NYer and admit I feel some pangs of homesickness when you mention it just now. Lived there for 7yr or so after uni, after moving around a lot, so to me it's really 'home.' Erm, except I've been here for 3 years and married a European, having 2nd baby, bought a house, dog, people carrier...so won't be going back anytime soon!!

BTW IMHO travelling with 2mo old is easy peasy. They just eat & sleep & remain motionless the rest of the time. At 12mo it's a mite trickier....

cameroonmama · 30/04/2007 19:43

Sorry Julie, remind me again why you might need a section? Is baby one of the breech ones?

notsolilKel · 30/04/2007 19:43

TMP, wonderful news!!!!!!! oooh a new baby, it's just lovely...

notsolilKel · 30/04/2007 19:44

Cameroon - also wondering why did you elect c/s? I did also...

Mrsjaffabiffa · 30/04/2007 19:45

Hey, TMP, Thats fantastic news. We were all thinking of you over the weekend. CONGRATULATIONS and well done to you and Victoria.

CONGRATULATIONS TOOMANYPROJECTS!!! My eyes are watering at the size!!

Meet up was lovely. SOH got stuck in some cow related traffic jam in Norfolk so didnt make it All ladies and bumps looked lovely not a hefer in sight - despite what they would have you believe

Lg&t - got a little something for you - am going to post it tomorrow. Also have one for SOH.

Hey Mrs JB - sorry to have kept you in suspense

cameroonmama · 30/04/2007 19:48

Kel, with dd I had an induction at 40+6 ended up with emergency cs, with ds I desperately wanted a vbac, broke my waters at 41+7, still ended up with emergency cs, both times fully dilated and pushing but neither of them made it out! So this time I could push for another vbac try, but its likely there is a physiological reason I can't deliver so elective it is - and with 2 dc, it helps with the planning and I wont be 2 weeks overdue and climbing the walls!!

juliewoolie · 30/04/2007 19:49

I have placenta previa and a couple of weeks ago started bleeding but they still wont make a decision on whether or not to c- sec till I am 36 weeks.
