Due at New Year....anyone else?!

Have just found out that I am pregnant. Blimey! A bit nervous/scared! DH says scared is too strong a word. Might be from his side of things but I think that I'm scared!
Due 31st Dec or 1st Jan, can't quite work out whether cycle is 29 or 30 days.
First time, so not too sure what to expect!
Anyone else due at new year?

Hey ladies how are we all? I?m at work thank goodness for MN!

Hello Awen ? glad the headache has gone, hate them, touch wood, haven?t had one for ages! Sounds like we are feeling quite similar with the bloating without weight gain, the boobs aching ? especially on being released and the MS cured by food! had horrible backache last night; I think I did too much housework (though I was careful what I did!) Hair and skin still greasy too ? certainly not blooming yet! The few people I have told that I am pg say that they can tell ? that makes me feel pretty paranoid!

Lilyloo ? hi hope you have an incredible trip!

Skibump ? glad the bleeding is lighter, that must be a relief! interesting symptom the problem with saunas etc is the heat, we are not supposed to get too hot in the first trimester, I think there is an issue with vibrations in Jacuzzis too but I?m not sure what it is ? just when it would be bliss to be in one too! I?d postpone if I were you so you can get more enjoyment out if it later on, they won?t massage you in the first 12 weeks here either (something to do with the hormones!)

Hey Pinkelephant how are things with you? My MS definitely comes and goes. Fingers crossed for 4/6 hopefully we?ll both be feeling much better after those scans

Housemum ? great links thanks!

Calgarry99 ? sorry to hear it?s a bit of a MS rollercoaster for you

Letsgo my MS is definitely worse at the weekend when I sleep in and have breakfast late.

Hey Bluebell I think MS feels a bit like being car sick to me, doesn?t mean you are actually sick always but generally feel queasy. I?ve had a few cramps too, I think they are ligaments. Any shoulder pain at all? Might be worth getting an early scan to reassure you

Jenswish ? sure it?s hormones and self-preservation hon, take care

BeckyAu · 28/05/2007 18:19

Hi Ladies I hope you're all having a good weekend You're all so supportive and I am so glad I discovered MN though I never seem to grab enough time to be able to make all the lovely personal comments that some lovely ladies do - I am sorry I'm rubbish!.

DH and I went to see some old friends yesterday and told them about the pg... the reaction was so wonderful! We've decided to tell my mum on her 75th birthday in a fortnight. I just know she'll burst into tears...

I am almost constantly feeling a bit under the weather and a bit nauseous and have achy pains that feel like indigestion - it's so reassuring to read that I'm not alone and it's nothing to panic about I still don't feel pg and find it amazing how beanie can be causing so much havoc with my body.

Thank you ladies for all your helpful advice and chat - I'm glad we've now all "met"!

Housemum · 28/05/2007 18:32

Jenswish - it'll get better, honest! I actually had days with my first 2 where I really wondered whether I actually wanted to be pg. It's just the hormones - you're not "blooming", you feel crap with nothing to show for it, and you're waiting for the scan to show you it's all real. We are all in the same boat!

I hate this stage clothes-wise - I have seen some nice maternity stuff but that's some way off, I've put on 1 pound but my waist has grown 3 inches - bleugh, nothing feels comfy - I have one pair of cropped trousers and some jeans I can undo the buttons of. If I wear my dresses (ok, I only have 2, I'm not a "dressy" person) I just look fat. Roll on getting a (small!) bump ...

angelcake99 · 28/05/2007 19:02

Hi Everyone! Feeling rather crap here. TMI Alert, feeling very dodgy had bad diarrhea for few days and stomach cramps, should I be worried? Ive just been having water and toast, do you think I need to see GP or anything?

Jenswish · 28/05/2007 19:37

I'm with you on the clothes thing. I tried to wear Jeans the other day and actually had to undo the top botton and the zip abit. Not really put on weight though. I lost a lot of weight in the beginning with all the sickness and haven't put it back on yet, although I'm sure I will. I like my food too much.

MS is getting better, I only get it in the half hour car ride to work in the mornings now so I'm happier.

I'm going to have a bath tonight but I'll remember from here not to make it as hot as usual.

Housemum · 28/05/2007 19:53

I think a nice warm bath is fine - but hot tubs are hotter than that because the air is so hot as well as they've been on for hours. So you don't need a tepid bath - just not so hot your legs go red when you sit in it!

VictorVictoria · 29/05/2007 08:46

Hello all

just popping in from the Feb thread as I am technicallydue 1dt Feb and ovulated early so suppose really belong just on Jan thread.

Can I ask a paranoid question? Have had 2 miscarriages in last 6 months so think am allowed to be paranoid. am 5 weeks, getting strong dark lines on tests, adn have been really tired with sore norks. so far so good. But woke up today feeling fine with no soreness. tell me that symptoms come asnd go at this stage.??? Pleawe........?????

goingfor3 · 29/05/2007 09:41

VictorVictoria - congratulations, I really hope you have a healthy pregnancy. Looking back through past messages you will see that many people ask if it's normal for symptoms to come and go and it seems it is. A symptom will disapear for a few days and return 10 worse! GOOD LUCK AND FINGERS CROSSED.

MrsMcJnr · 29/05/2007 09:43

BeckyAu ? that will be lovely telling your Mum on her B?day

Housemum ? good explanation of this stage!! I?m with you, I just feel fat as my clothes are tight even though my weight is the same

Angelcake99 ? poor you! be careful you don?t get dehydrated; sounds like you have a bug. Might be a good idea to see your GP if you still feel off today. Hope you feel much better soon.

Jenswish ? hope you enjoyed your bath I don?t really know what out of my pampering products I can use as a lot have essential oils or are aromatherapy

Hello again VictorVictoria you?ll see lots of ladies with symptoms that dwindle and re-kindle here try not to worry hon. Are you having an early reassurance scan?

Bettymamma · 29/05/2007 10:41

Hiya ladies - Bbabymamma here with a new name and log in and everything because work banned me from mumsnet!? Found another way to get in here though. Can't wait to tell them I'm expecting. Let's see if this works and then I'll catch up on the couple of weeks i've been missing. Hope you're all well. x

Bettymamma · 29/05/2007 10:51

Fantastic - I'm so cunning. So much to catch up on.

VictorVictoria - ohh my fingers are all crossed for you congratulations. Am very happy for you. Stay on this thread! Symptoms do come and go I've found.

Jenswish - this stage for me is really the worse bit of being pg and having babies and everything. It's quite depressing and can really put you off but it really is worth it in the end and you should feel ALOT better by 2nd trimester.

Skibump - Whyteleafe, Woldingham, Caterham all nice. Commutable but also lots of nice countryside near by.

I have been soooo sick and have really missed MN. My nausea a lot worse on days off. Feel very bad for my dd. Hope everyone else ok. Good to join you again.

skibump · 29/05/2007 11:30

Hey Bettymamma, good to see you back, was wondering where you'd got to. about your (and everyone elses) ms, hope you all get a sick-free day

Jenswish, keep talking to us hunny, what you're feeling is really normal, did you have a scan last week?

VictorVictoria WOW, you made it back on to the same thread. Many congratulations and fingers crossed for you this time. Stay here, you know it makes sense

Things seem to be going ok here. Really tired and still bleeding, but only a bit now, so still hoping it's all ok. I've got an appt with m/w on Thursday (ds will have to miss tumble tots ) so I'll see what she says then. Don't really want to have to wait for 12wk scan to confirm beanie is still there...

Hope everyone else is doing ok

VictorVictoria · 29/05/2007 11:32

I know - can you believe it? Same thread with a very early miscarriage in between?

I am SOOOO worried aboyt tjis one given my experience of the last 6 months.....but I suppose I had better forget all abou symptoms etc and just wait for a scan.

skibump · 29/05/2007 11:38

Yes, just chill and wait for the scan while thinking positive beanie thoughts....(yeah right!) Really hoping everything will be good for you this time, do you have a scan booked?

MrsMcJnr · 29/05/2007 11:41

Bettymamma ? how did they ban you? I?d die!! good luck in the new guise.

Skibump ? fingers crossed for the appointment on Thursday, I?m praying for a strong beanie for you

mummyto2littleprincess · 29/05/2007 11:54

hi
everyone i think im 7 week so my due date will either be jan or feb will find out later today when been to doctors

Bettymamma · 29/05/2007 12:12

I don't know how they banned it -meanies. I could view it but just not add anything to talk. I checked with MN and they said it was something going on at my end! Kept forgetting to try it at home.

Hi skibump - hope everything is ok. I think you should request an early scan.

VictorVictoria - when will you be having your scan. Is it 6 weeks?

Hi mummytolittleprincess - congratulations!

I need to eat - blurghh.

Bettymamma · 29/05/2007 12:13

ps will I need to change from Bbabymamma to Bettymamma on our rollcall thing? I guess so. I'll need to change over my profile as well - groan.

I need crisps

mummyto2littleprincess · 29/05/2007 12:24

you need crisps lol

MrsMcJnr · 29/05/2007 12:58

Congratulations Mummy2toprincesses ! welcome!

Anyone else too tired to concentrate at work? I just cannot motivate myself at the moment!

Jenswish · 29/05/2007 13:04

Can't be arsed with work. I work as a mortgage underwriter and I can't remember the amount of times I've tried to work out how much this person can have ona mortgage!! lol

No scans yet, DP is going to register me at the docs tomorrow and try to get apt before end of week.,

Hope your all ok!! Gotta go

Bettymamma · 29/05/2007 13:12

Work - whats work??
Can't understand why they banned me chatting on mumsnet. Its lunch break anyway!

mum2sam · 29/05/2007 14:32

Hiya everyone, not been on for a while.Congratulations to the mummies who have just joined us. I had my boobs measured the other day as my bra's are feeling uncomfy and im now a 34F! I already have a bump and am having to wear floaty tops to hide it as we stil havent officially annouced it.Oh and i cant stop eating and pooing tmi sorry . Is anyone else like that? I feel queasy but not really been sick just spending alot of time on the toilet.

Bettymamma · 29/05/2007 15:16

ah - now that sounds nice. I have green poo and constant nausea if that helps! We definitely get bigger with the 2nd don't you think?

Am wearing a shift dress to work today and it looks like i have a small ball up there. No comments thank goodness. Oh no not maternity bras. Can i stay away from them as long as possible!

MrsMcJnr · 29/05/2007 15:29

Hey Mum2Sam ? I bought a new bra today, bigger in both cup and back but pretty horrible so I?m going to treat myself to a Bravissimo one later in the week. Had to duck as saw a colleague whilst I was checking out the mat bras on the bump, I just look (and feel!) fat I have my days on the toilet front too ? from one extreme to the other

Bettymamma ? green poo? What are you eating? Craving for grass? I didn?t want to give up the underwired bras either but the thought of mastitis made me!
