Have just found out that I am pregnant. Blimey! A bit nervous/scared! DH says scared is too strong a word. Might be from his side of things but I think that I'm scared!
Due 31st Dec or 1st Jan, can't quite work out whether cycle is 29 or 30 days.
First time, so not too sure what to expect!
Anyone else due at new year?

Pinkelephant - how confusing. If there's no evidence that it has any effect do whatever you feel comfortable with (might be nice to put your feet up tho...)

PinkElephant · 17/05/2007 22:35

Hi Skibump!!
So in the "to fly" or "not to fly" debate.....I now have 3 x YES I should fly and 1 x NO I shouldn't. Anymore votes ladies? Oh I'm so confused what to do . Need to make a decision in the next 24hrs

skibump · 17/05/2007 22:35

Gingeme, like Pip, we called ours bump last time - how imaginative!

PinkElephant · 17/05/2007 22:42

Pip and bump aaaaaahhh

gingeme · 18/05/2007 09:26

Good morning ladies. Trying to be sick quietly with a 3 year old saying'what you doing Mummy?' in your ear is ot the ideal way to start your Friday but thats how mine started this morning. Still, feel alot better for it. Had a big bowel of cereal after.
Anyway pinkelephant any desicions on your flight? I was talking to dh about it last night and he says you should stay put too esp as youve had a mc.
Oh well off to Tesco soon. See if I can walk round the cold meat counter without heaving
Have a good ay all.

plummymummy · 18/05/2007 09:27

Hi Jenswish - thankyou . Hi everyone else . I am a newbie to the antenatal threads, having just got a bfp after 3 months ttc. I will be joining you in a few days, by which time I will at least know that this cannot be a chemical pregnancy (even though I know it can't be as my period was due 3 days ago). Just being cautious as I am only 4 weeks pregnant.

gingeme · 18/05/2007 09:43

Hi plummymummy welcome. Im 4 weeks pregnant too. See you soon then.

plummymummy · 18/05/2007 10:08

Hello gingeme Good to have a pg buddy (same stage of pg) The reason why I am being so cautious is because I had 2 early m/c last year, but I am really looking forward to properly joining the thread

gingeme · 18/05/2007 10:31

Yes I know what you mean. Hope its all ok so far though. Best of luck to you. This one will stick

skibump · 18/05/2007 11:19

Plummymummy, do join us. I'm not so far ahead of you - 5 weeks-ish (not completely sure of the dates) We're all a bit nervous I think cos it's early for everyone. Good luck to you (and to us all), hoping all the beans will stick.

plummymummy · 18/05/2007 11:38

Yes the very best of luck to everyone . Sorry if it seemed as if I was implying I have reason to be more cautious than anyone else - not what I meant. It's a nerve wracking business this pregnancy lark isn't it Are you all waiting for the dating scan or is anyone going for an early one? If all ok I'm going to get an early one at 7 weeks.

MamaMaiasaura · 18/05/2007 12:02

not so ick today Have eated 2 crumpets with choc spread, choc milk and malteasers and can of sprite very unhealthy.. Starting to feel a little quesy but nothing like yesterday. Manageda little lie in as ds didnt go in school till 11am today.

Had dreams about little newborn baby last night, wasnt mine tho was my dp's ex and she wasnt very nice at all.

I have read lemonade is good for ms - when in shop i was raeding labels and most of them have apartasime - even non diet ones!! Hence me buying sprite.

7 weeks tomorrow

MamaMaiasaura · 18/05/2007 12:03

plummy - didnt take it that way at all hunny - big hugs to you xx

gingeme · 18/05/2007 12:59

Awen Sprite and 7up are good for sickness generaly. Iremember years ago when my cousin live in Malta her friend had terrible sickness and her gp actualy prescribed her to drink 7 up. Aparantly its better flat. Might have something to do with the citrus mix. Idont know.

MamaMaiasaura · 18/05/2007 13:40

ok.. starting to think TOOOOOO much. Dont feel sick. Eating crisp sandwich (norty me) and despite a little bit of icky feeling earlier I feel fine. I dont feel very tired either and my boobs dont hurt too much. Starting to panic..

plummymummy · 18/05/2007 14:46

awen please don't worry as I have read that symptoms come and go and can fluctuate rapidly. These things vary so much. When I was miscarrying in December I still had achy boobs, felt tired (not due to blood loss as blood loss very gradual)and the pg was tiny to start with as although I was 7 weeks when scanned, it was undeveloped and measured size of 4-5 week pg. So what I'm saying is symptoms can be an unreliable way of determining whether a pg is going ok. Your LO had a good heartbeat and therefore has a fantastic 95% survival rate. Are you having any more scans before the dating one?

MamaMaiasaura · 18/05/2007 14:49

no more scans till nuchal fold scan.. so about 6 weeks to wait. Burst into tear today because i thought i saw a mouse and also cos a tradesman was obnoxious

MamaMaiasaura · 18/05/2007 14:50

proper sobbing

JUst wish.. like all of us that we were all already 14 weeks

skibump · 18/05/2007 14:58

Plummy, second what Awen said, sorry it came across that way. Plus you probably WILL be more worried than those of us who are lucky enough not to have had mc - tho I'm sure your pg isn't any more at risk than ours.

(()) to those suffering with ms etc. I'm just really tired, and looking forward to the w/e when dh will be around and hopefully I can get some proper rest. Also looking forward to next w/e, I've arranged to have a scan next Saturday when I think I'll be 7 weeks, so fingers crossed for a bean and a heartbeat

plummymummy · 18/05/2007 14:59

Yuk mice . Reminds me of the time I was making a lovely mango chilli salad in the kitchen (in my previous home)and as I looked down at the floor where I had dropped a bit of little gem lettuce, lo and behold there was a little mouse who had come to nibble on it. He/she looked at me calm as anything resting on its back legs. I screamed the place down, nearly causing dh to drop ds who was still a baby. He thought I was being murdered I think The mouse then looked scared but didn't move - think it did a wee on the spot if I recall correctly. Then dh passed ds to me and put the fruit bowl over it, then slid some paper under it, flipped the bowl over then chucked it over the cemetary fence (other side of the road). He didn't have the heart to kill it - soppy git. Anyway after that we got a couple more, one killed by our cat and the other just seemed to die in our shoe rack. I discovered it as I went to put my shoe on dh thought it was v funny that it had chosen my shoe to die in I think it is fair to say that I am petrified of mice. Hope it was just your imagination and not a real mouse

skibump · 18/05/2007 15:02

Awen - aahhh, I remember crying at pictures of babies on nappy/breast pad packaging last time .

plummymummy · 18/05/2007 15:02

It was nothing you said skibump so please don't worry - I just re-read what I'd posted and thought how it might appear to others. Hope your scan goes well. Fingers crossed for healthy bean with good heartbeat

plummymummy · 18/05/2007 15:04

I am so hyper sensitive and moody this time. Wasn't like this at all with ds. Infact I remember being distinctly chipper Maybe it's a pink one this time.

skibump · 18/05/2007 15:04

at mouse, I found a dead one in the boot I was trying to put on once, it's horrible isn't it. I blame the cats

plummymummy · 18/05/2007 15:06

Well I agree - frankly they're not earning their keep are they
