Have just found out that I am pregnant. Blimey! A bit nervous/scared! DH says scared is too strong a word. Might be from his side of things but I think that I'm scared!
Due 31st Dec or 1st Jan, can't quite work out whether cycle is 29 or 30 days.
First time, so not too sure what to expect!
Anyone else due at new year?

gingeme · 15/05/2007 15:04

Goodluck pinkjenny. Hope it all goes well.
Im getting alot of headaches too Lisa11. Did with my last pregnancy too. They pass with time though but yes I guess being on the pc too long doesnt help realy. So on that note Ill say ta ta for now.
Oh has anyone else gone off tea and coffee?

Bbabymumma · 15/05/2007 15:09

Awen - how exciting. I shall celebrate with a nice cup of peppermint tea.

gingeme - phil and ted - i shall look it up. My dd is very keen on walking so I'm thinking i may just need a buggie board. She'll be 2 and a bit. We'll see. I didn't give up the buggy till I was 5 (which my mother will tell everyone - including complete strangers).

lisa111 - what can you do with headaches in pg? Have you used that cooling thing that you can put on your forehead? I guess they say just rest - yeh right! Especially with 4 kids - sorry 3 (hehe!)

Bbabymumma · 15/05/2007 15:11

don't all leave me - I'll have to talk to work friends to alleviate boredom! No - I will not be selfish and will allow you to help your headaches.

LilyLoo · 15/05/2007 15:31

Glad it's not just me then. Mine seem worse in the afternoon and i am opting out of blaming pc as i don't use it much at work and i had terrible headache yesterday aft too.

scorpio1 · 15/05/2007 15:36

awen, so pleased!

MrsMcJnr · 15/05/2007 17:06

Thank LilyLoo 13th is a good date in my family 13/1 ? parent?s wedding anniversary, 13/2 ? DH b?day (same as Robbie Williams ) & 13/6 ? SIL b?day.

Thanks Whoops how are you?

Bbabymumma ? I know you?ve been chasing me sorry! It?s lovely to be with you again! Hope you are well! Can you dream again and tell me all will be ok?

Hey Awen, great to see the list how wonderful about your scan! I really hope I see a HB on Monday but at 5+6 it?s more likely I won?t but to know it?s in the right place would be great! I?ve heard lots of people talk about small clots and cysts, I know it?s impossible but try not to worry, I think they often just disappear.

Imawurzel ? My b?day is 29/12 ? it?s a good date!

Gingeme ? thanks for the welcome!

Pinkjenny ? that was sweet of you! hope it goes really well on Thursday come back and tell us all about your DD!

Lisa111 ? hope your headache gets better soon, I empathise. I get them a lot pg or not and I blame the PC too!

mumto3girls · 15/05/2007 17:08

Glad everyone on here is doing well. I just can't quite bring myself to join you girls yet, but will in a week or two ( hopefully).

birdseed · 15/05/2007 18:37

great news awen! - must be great to see the heart beating!

I know what you guys mean about going off tea and coffee. When I first found out I tried to cut down, but now I just don't fancy it at all!

Feeling much better today. Nauseous this morning, but not this afternoon.
And the horrendous heartburn that I had (felt like whole tummy was on fire...arrgg!) has pretty much gone away! Tried some rennies (said ok in preg on packet) but didn't really help, but now gone...hurray!

KB75 · 15/05/2007 19:16

Hi ladies,

I've been watching for a few weeks and now am ready to join in - hoping for some support as I have a tough 2 weeks ahead of me!

I had a mc in mid-March, my first pregnancy so it scared me a lot. We started trying again straight away and now I am pregnant again. A bit of bleeding over the weekend so we rushed to the hospital - had a scan yesterday and it was "inconclusive". They saw the gestational sac and put it at exactly 6 weeks. No heartbeat or "obvious fetal pole", whatever that is.

So now I have to wait til next Friday to have another scan to confirm if the baby is developing or not. It's so hard to wait, I am feeling extremely nauseous but not sure if its a baby or just nerves.....

LilyLoo · 15/05/2007 20:24

Hi kb75 it's such a difficult time isn't it. Will all be able to relax much more in a few weeks. The sickness symptoms all sound positive though. When you due ?
Iknow what you mean mum it's odd when no one in rl knows! Either way i am just looking at this as a support network hopefully leading to a little bubba at scan, but these next 5 weeks will def drag.

MamaMaiasaura · 15/05/2007 20:25

Mrs MC - so great to see you onm here - it is fab seeing 'graduates' on here esp after the highs and lows of ttc x 13th is a very good date.. think this bean was concieved on April 13th - new sofa arrived that day

birdseed - thanks golad you are feeling a little better today. I am feeling less icky and lots more hungry. instead of all day yuck it is only til about early afternoon time.

KB75 - welcome and wishing you lots of luck. I had similar at my scan 2 weeks ago altho i was only about 4 weeks - I think 6 weeks exactly is a little early to see heartbeat. I saw hb today but 6+3 but still early to see. Sending you lots of warm thoughts.

mumto3girls - looking forward to seeing you on here x

Scorpio - Thanks mate and huge ((HUGS))

bbabymumma ta mate. Hope work mates didnt bore u too much had to skip off for school run. DS all asleep now so free to mn and cause mischief!

FlossALump · 15/05/2007 20:34

MrsMJ - I'm not stalking you but went on TTC to find out if you were about and how you were and see you have made it over here already!! Brilliant. Congratulations. Have a lovely pregnancy. xx

gingeme · 15/05/2007 21:28

Evening ladies hope your all well.
Bbabymumma I have a buggy board if you need one. Where do you live? My ds3 used to use it but hes brill with walking everywhere. Plus I cant fit it on my Quinny. The double buggy my friend had was very heavy so weve decided to save oue pennies for a Phil and Ted.
Feeling very tired today and very sick this morning. Managed to get most of mt housework done though.

LilyLoo · 16/05/2007 09:20

Actually been sick for the first time and feeling very for myself. It was the cup of coffee that did it i'm sure! Even more that coffee looks like it's off the menu for a while.
How's everyone else today. Popped over to your other thread Awen looks quite common so guessing you feel more releived?

MamaMaiasaura · 16/05/2007 09:28

the sickness is a but yuck - feel for you gingme & Lilyloo. Am feeling ick too today. Have had orange juice, banana and muller vitality pre & pro biotic (are these ok to take?) also taken my pregnacare vit.

Had really horrible dreams last night that ex-p was trying to take my ds from school and have him live with him.

Taking it easy today - housework can wait bascially want to be very careful for next few weeks. Will be cooking roast today tho

LilyLoo · 16/05/2007 09:33

Good enough reason imo to leave h/work for a while
My dd is now making me feel very green as she is dipping her baby corn into a yoghurt!

birdseed · 16/05/2007 10:15

sorry to hear that there are lots of green people about today.

what are you guys doing about social arrangements over the rest of the first trimester?

My friends are keen to arrange to meet up eg in a weeks time but I just don't know how I will feel and so am reluctant to make arrangements.
But the flipside is that it is pretty lonely at home in the evenings as dh has been working late lots recently.

Have tried seabands and marmite on toast and nausea less today

Bbabymumma · 16/05/2007 10:20

I feel soooooooo siiiiiccccccckkkkkkkkkk today. I'm nauseas day and night help! I have to eat constantly. I'm sure it wasn't like this with dd. I have consumed a bowl of cornflakes, 1 ginger nut, 2 hashbrowns and a slice of bacon this morning and just about feel normal!? Oh forgot my pregnacare vit - need to buy some more.

Anyway enough about me - how are you all?

Awen good luck with roast - I can't do raw meat at the mo. Well I can but it induces gagging.

Horrible dreams, tell me about it. I keep trying to find Madeline McCann. Very bizarre. No more dreams about you MrsMcjnr but I will let you know. Great to have you here!

Lilyloo - coffee - yeuck!

gingeme - thank you for the offer. I live in surrey (just moved, don't know anyone help!) but commute to London a few days a week - i think you live in scotland? I may have made that up. I will check to see if my sis has kept her old one.

KB75 -good luck. nausea is a good symptom though.

birdseed - rennies. i think i lived on them last time

mumto3girls - hope you are ok. I know it is a vscary time. We're all in the same boat. Come and join us soon. I see you are a fellow Surreyite. You can tell me how to make friends in Caterham!!

Gosh - sorry long post.

LilyLoo · 16/05/2007 10:26

birdseed this pg was sort of not planned so off to friends house party on Sat but am designated driver, phew. Then off to Cicago with dp in a weeks time. Then have got a hen weekend to Amsterdam in couple of months. Will be able to tell everyone then but guess i will be the one taking care of everyone can't believe i won't be able to have drink though !

Bbabymumma · 16/05/2007 10:31

apologies birdseed i missed your posting. I've been very bad and been trying to avoid going out at night but I'm like you with dh working late alot. If you say you're on antibiotics they always guess your pg anyway.

Lilyloo - wow chicago - fantastic. Am very jealous.

MamaMaiasaura · 16/05/2007 11:02

chicago i have 2 weks in wales when about 18weeks

Mananged to haul my sickly body to the kitchen, had a waffle sandwich on wholement bread and half a frys creme and tho still feel sick, not as bad

I wonder if waffle sandwiches are going to be my 'thing'. I usually hate burger king too but i smelt the local burger king yesterday and it made my mouth water. With ds i had a bit of a thng for burgers, Dr Pepper and ice

Bbabymumma · 16/05/2007 11:12

oh now i want a whopper! yum.

Right don't think I'm a dim (I am a bit). What is a waffle sandwich?

MamaMaiasaura · 16/05/2007 11:14

birds eye potato wafflestuck in toaster then put between the bread with spread.. yummy!! even better with a dolop of mayo

goingfor3 · 16/05/2007 11:36

I've got my first ante-natal appointment on Monday. I can't beleive I have it so early! It's at 9.10 which is completley inconvientent as DD1 has to go to school, hopefully one of my neighbouts can take her- she is already taking both DD's after school today.

I'm so tired, I just double booked myself on friday and I can't get out of either things. Hopefully my mum can take DD2 on her farm trip and I can take DD1 on her trip. It's only going to get worse isn't it!

Bbabymumma · 16/05/2007 11:53

worse and then better and then probably worse again!

I feel horrible to my dd. On work days I see her in the morning and can hardly move and get told "mama wake up wake up wake up" and hit around the head a few times and then I get home at 6 really suffering from nausea and hardly communicating again.

I shall try to spoil her rotten tomorrow.

waffle with bread - carb overload. I like it.
