Due at New Year....anyone else?!

Have just found out that I am pregnant. Blimey! A bit nervous/scared! DH says scared is too strong a word. Might be from his side of things but I think that I'm scared!
Due 31st Dec or 1st Jan, can't quite work out whether cycle is 29 or 30 days.
First time, so not too sure what to expect!
Anyone else due at new year?

I seeing midwife for booking in apt next Tue afternoon. The first apt they could get initially was 9th June i said it was a bit late as would be too close to get booked in for 12 week scan. Luckily she checked with midwife and can squeeze me in next Tue! It might seem a bit more real then!

Toomanyshoes why didnt they scan you there and then? it must be horrible waiting but fingers crosses everything is fine.
I bled with ds3, doc sent me to epu and i had a vag scan i was 5/6 weeks, all was ok and it set my mind at rest.

By the way this will be my 4th baby not 5th and if it is twins i am holding you responsible for jinxing me,

I have done 6 tests now from 01/05 to 14/05 anyone know if the pos line should be getting darker. It is still faint i expected last nights to be a lot darker?

lisa111 - stop testing! If you test at different times of day you will get viarations in the line coulur depending on when you last peed, how much you have had to drink etc. You can get different strengths of line on the same brand with the same wee. You'll only worry yourself. Rant over!

Toomanyshoes - apologies I had not read your post. I hope you are ok and I'm so sorry to hear your were made to wait 5 1/2 hours. You must go back and demand a scan if you have any more probs. When do you get your results?

Lisa111 - had you drunk a lot of water before you took the test, had you recently wee'd? Just thought I'd check! (someone's bound to have twins in this group - i won't tempt fate..)

Right had my scan

Am 6weeks3days - did it abdominally (empty bladder too!) and could see little bean!! Saw heartbeat!!!!

Crown 0 rump 6.1mm
Gestational sac = 20mm

viable intrauterine preganancy which appears to be progressing well

Only 2 not so great things - There is a small area of bleeding around gestation sca measuring 11mmx8mmx18mm - apparantly (according to midwife) quite common. May get some brown blood - any fresh will need me scanned again.

OTher thing is a small ovarian cyst.

Congrats Mrs Mc its lovely to fall pg after a mc I know that sounds weird but it makes you feel like you can actualy do it properly.
I found Hula Hoops a big help with ms. Had it real bad with ds1 and had rich tea biscuits before I got up which subsided it a bit. Im not too bad this time it kinda tails off after breakfast.
Going to my friends this afternoon to look at her double buggy. Shes got 3 weeks to go before she has her 3rd baby.

Aww thank you bambino he did. HE said it made it so much more real for him. I cried a little (soppy cow) cos I was so nervous before. Am going to pop on to the December thread as guess now a def Jan EDD (altho ds did arrive early!)

oh i nearly cried at your news! How fantastic that you could see the little bean and its heart was happily beating. I am at a similar stage to you almost 7 weeks so makes it feel very real. What happens with the small cyst? The bleeding thing can be quite common yes?

Gingeme - beef hula hoops are the best YUM. Double buggy. Is it one of the ones where one goes on top of the other or the side by side type?

One behind the other. I realy want a Phil and Ted and have seen a couple on Ebay but will see what this ones like first. We gave her our travel system as wasn't expexting to have anymore and have just bought a Quinny for ds4 as ds3 is happy to walk everywhere

was 30 Dec - 2nd Jan according to scan 2 weeks ago. Changed now to 5th Jan.

My actual last period was 26 Feb.. but I must have conceived around 13th April!! CD48

Just gatecrashing from the May 07 thread and due to have my little girl by c-section on Thursday.

Enjoy your pregnancies, before you know it, its over and on to the main event. I spent so much time worrying, I nearly forgot to treasure it.

I have a bad headache, i got bad headaches with my last pregnancy, maybe i have been on the pc too long but when ds2 comes home from school you cannot get him off pc.

When i want him to do chores i take the modem away works everytime.
