Seansgirl · 25/04/2007 13:58

No, I put you on. Will just check - perhaps I've missed typed?

foxybrown · 25/04/2007 13:59

I like the elle mac bras too. Am in two minds about whether to spend the money. The plain ones are just so yukky and vile after a while. Totally know what you mean about wanting to be a little more glamorous this time!

sputnik · 25/04/2007 13:59

The wedding is gone now. Your DD looks tall for 4, mine is tall for her age too. Is that the Monsoon dress?

Seansgirl · 25/04/2007 14:00

No, def put you on there. f-o-x-y-b-r-o-w-n?

Seansgirl · 25/04/2007 14:01

Seansgirl · 25/04/2007 14:02

foxybrown · 25/04/2007 14:02

am tackling the decorating tomorrow. The woodwork is the worst bit. that and going to homebase. and the sanding.

Seansgirl · 25/04/2007 14:04

You're good foxy - I've got DH doing that> I get the good jobs - sorting out the cupboards and the bills oh and selling stuff we don't want...

foxybrown · 25/04/2007 14:05

I can't see the title "seansgirls pictures"

foxybrown · 25/04/2007 14:05

I am SO lucky I get to do all the household jobs!

sputnik · 25/04/2007 14:07

Think Monsoon sizes are a bit small though, DD was in a 3-4 last year when she was only just 2. Hope it still fits

justbeme · 25/04/2007 14:10

Im with you Foxy, I cant see the piccies either!

Seansgirl · 25/04/2007 14:11

i'll take off the mates thing try that

foxybrown · 25/04/2007 14:19

that's better. You look so glam! I love your blond curls - lucky you!

your DD's just such a cutie awww

Seansgirl · 25/04/2007 14:21

Thanks Foxy We need to see yours. I predict short dark hair.

doggus · 25/04/2007 14:24

Sputnik - would very much like a sling - how shall we do it? Shall I pay for it online or send you a cheque? Sorry I can't think straight today - I haven't been posting as I have had a three day headache, nightmare.

I am incredibly thirsty all the time too, am making water more interesting by adding peach cordial.

Oh God, I forgot, the crochet needle in the antenatal class, if anyone tries that on me I shall exit screaming. Thank you for all the first poo advice, am going to be investing in senna tablets. A friend of mine left it two weeks before pooing as she was so terrified.

Quick question - someone told me that your waters are more likely to break when lying down in bed. Should I invest in one of those waterproof mattress covers? I have an orthopaedic bed I don't want to lose....

foxybrown · 25/04/2007 14:24

nearly, long dark hair. will look out for some and email. am still not sure about putting them on the WWW! (plus I don't know how and can't be arsed to find out right now, am in a funny grumpy mood and everything is just too much effort!)

foxybrown · 25/04/2007 14:27

Don't worry about the crochet hook, you don't feel a thing.

I'm getting plastic dustsheets to protect the mattress. Also you can get Pampers bed mats which are absorbant, or ask the MW for some incontinence mats.

HA HA HA DS2 and DD are go-go dancing to the Scooby-Doo theme! Funny things.

doggus · 25/04/2007 14:28

I have just seen your profiles H&A and seansgirl - you both real purty! H&A, you do look like Jessica from Liberty X. And seangirl, I love love love your hair.

SmilingKiwi · 25/04/2007 14:37

I'm Back! Had a really busy few weeks - My DH took me to Cyprus for 8 days to relax in the sun a couple of weeks ago, and got back from 3 days in Italy walking the Cinque Terra yesterday. So no more flights or trips planned which is good as I'm about 33 weeks (oh God thats scary!)Great area of Italy and I managed to walk two thirds of it- really pretty villages and great weather!
Going to order buggy and hammock tonight (making this baby journey all very real!)- is it Catsuitgirl who is also getting a hammock? It was a big catch up on the thread posts and I cant remember!
The LO's movements are so strong at the moment they can give me quite a fright- yep its trying to break through my now flat tummy button too! Its our first baby and we're aiming for a home birth and we have a Doula but we are keeping an open mind and will go with the flow when it happens- hospital is only 5 mins away thankfully! I should still have a bag packed to take to the hospital so Dh isn't trying to find things in a panic!Havent told anyone we want a home birth including my folks who fly over in a few weeks- I can just anticipate the opinions and want to stay as relaxed about it as possible!
We are throwing a combined Baby shower this weekend- good excuse for us to see friends before it takes us three hours to leave the house! I have ordered the coolest stuff from a website called www.showermybaby.com
Hope you are all well- can any of you experienced Mummies recommend which breast pads to try, and should we get in some formula as back up incase I cant breast feed? Which one? Thanks!!
xxx

Seansgirl · 25/04/2007 14:38

Doggus

foxy, with you on the grumpy thing bah humbug or something similar!

Seansgirl · 25/04/2007 14:41

Think its personal choice on the formula, but yes, I'd get some just in case. I used apatamil - i just got some ready mixed ones in the cartons as an emergency (think thats how its spelt?) Breast pads? think i used the tescos own disposables. But have heard the washable ones are good too.

derlor · 25/04/2007 14:54

oh just checked my bag is now at £51!!!!

derlor · 25/04/2007 15:00

hi smilingkiwi - your trip sounds FAB. i would agree with Seansgirl and get some ready mixed Aptimil in cartons (seems to be most popular formula just now) even if you manage to breast feed it's good to have an early night and let hubby have a shot at the feeding anyway - some women can manage to express loads pretty much straight away to enable sleep etc but some not so. just go with the flow (so to speak!!)
I have found avent disposable breast pads to be best but am also keen to hear what everyone else thinks....?

sputnik · 25/04/2007 15:03

Hi Doggus, with the slings they said we could each pay seperatly with paypal. It also looks like getting them sent together wouldn't save us money either, so we might as well order seperatly too, unless more people are interested. They have been really helpful, I can alert them when you and Bumper are ordering so you get the discount.

Welcome back Smilingkiwi. Glad you enjoyed the Cinque Terre. Never been but I bet it's lovely this time of year. Re breast pads, don't get boxes and boxes, you might not need them. I didn't, though I am small of nork - don't know if that's a factor.
