Peterpanwendy: as others have said : you should be fine, I can understand how worrying it is though

Babydreaming · 27/12/2017 13:54

@hettyturnip they are so tiny at this stage that they are hard to accurately measure! At 6.2 weeks mine was 0.4mm CRL according to my scan report! You can imagine how difficult that must be to measure accurately on a screen, even 0.1mm makes a huge difference! I’d try not to read into it, chances are your gestation will change by 12 week scan, mine did last time!

Babydreaming · 27/12/2017 14:21

WHOops sorry just checked and apparently it was 4mm not 0.4! Still absolutely tiny though and easy to make mistakes when measuring!

E2017 · 27/12/2017 16:23

Just had my 7 Week Scan. All ok. Still got all day sickness and constantly tired. Feel reassured that all ok. Apparently my ovaries are still absolutely massive courtesy of ivf. Been told if i get any pain at all I've got to go straight in for another scan in case either ovary has twisted at all. 😳 x

milney25 · 27/12/2017 17:13

That's great @E2017! 😊 I've got my booking in tomorrow, got a list of questions as long as my arm!

MrsS1984 · 27/12/2017 17:16

Think I'm out of here and back on the bus. Had the results of my blood tests following my early scan where they were a bit concerned and my hormones after 48hrs only went from 11k to 14k rather than doubling. Have got a further scan booked for next weds and then surgery for d&c booked immediately following if it does confirm failed early pregnancy.

I'm gutted as this is now my second in a row and no previous children. Sad Trying not to read too much into it but desperately want to understand what's going on.

CaffeineDragon · 27/12/2017 17:21

@MrsS1984 So sorry to heat that. Will keep everything crossed that it works out and if not they can try to help you get some answers. xx

Hortonlovesahoo · 27/12/2017 17:24

@mrsS1984: I’m really sorry to hear this. I hope it’s nothing and everything is fine at the next scan ((hugs))

milney25 · 27/12/2017 17:29

@MrsS1984 really sorry to hear that, I really hope you have some good news next Wednesday. Do keep us posted.

FannyTheFlamingo · 27/12/2017 19:28

@MrsS1984 sending you Thanks

Hana327 · 27/12/2017 19:45

@MrsS1984 I'm so sorry to hear this! 🤞🏻 For u.

Hana327 · 27/12/2017 19:48

What a nice thing to have just after Christmas @E2017.

I'm really struggling with all day sickness now! Every time I eat, or an hour and a half after eating I am sick. Not sure what to eat to fill me up longer!

TheSleeperandTheSpindle · 27/12/2017 20:06

@mrsS1984 Sending you Flowers Fingers crossed everything works out for you.

somersetsinger · 27/12/2017 20:09

Sorry to hear that, MrsS1984. It must be so painful.

To miscarry is so horribly common that two in a row is sadly not that unusual. It doesn't automatically mean that you will have a problem with a future pregnancy.

For what it's worth, I found it really cathartic to have a cry and a big swear with a friend who had been there, too. Sending unmumsnetty hugs.

E2017 · 27/12/2017 20:15

@MrsS1984 really hope things work out for you if not this time then next time.

@Hana327 I know how you feel. I've found that the only way I can keep it at bay is sea bands (not sure how effective they are or aren't) plus eating shar crispbreads pretty much every time I'm feeling sick even though it's the opposite of what I want to do.

Ps shar crispbreads as I'm gluten free. 🙁

Whichoneisit · 27/12/2017 20:46

Hi all,
Welcome to the newbies and thinking of those who continue to experience uncertainty.
Have been quiet here...busy with Christmas and just trying to mark off the days. Still feeling anxious. 6+5 today. Felt terrible yesterday but have felt pretty normal today. That seems to be my pattern but it sends my mind into overdrive. Scan on Saturday so not too many more days of uncertainty. Will then consider booking in with the mw next week if all is well. Visitors have now left and we have no plans for the next two days so looking forward to resting!

peterpanwendy · 27/12/2017 22:00

@milney25 I have my booking appt a week tomorrow. What kinds of questions will you ask? X

Kiki275 · 27/12/2017 22:29

Hi all, I'm currently sat here looking at a pile of gifts I would have loved a few months ago including.... a gin glass, gin aromatics, gin & prosecco. Vouchers for a cheese and wine tasting night. A brie baker plus a cheese making kit... my DH is a dairy farmer and has gallons of unpasteurised milk I can use. I know all of this keeps so come September.. Xmas Hmm happy days! Fortunately, no-one who hasn't been told yet guessed and there's only one more party night to get through. How is everyone getting on?x

StrawberryLemonade · 28/12/2017 02:46

Sorry to hear that MrsS1984 FlowersFlowers

Kiki yep I have prosecco chambord and loads of chocolate that I just don’t fancy eating at all. I also have half a bottle of prosecco in the fridge left from when we had guests yesterday and if I’d asked someone to take it home it would have been obvious! Not that I feel up to drinking it even if I could but seems a shame to waste.

I’m really struggling with drinking at the moment all drinks make me nauseous and I just don’t want them so having to force myself to drink water and juice. Over 8 weeks now so thinking of a private scan this weekend or next I’m just terrified incase it doesn’t show what I want it to!

Crissy83 · 28/12/2017 06:11

Everything crossed MrsS, sending hugs x

Babydreaming · 28/12/2017 06:23

MrsS so sorry to hear that! It definitely doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong and even after 2 miscarriages it is most likely that next time you will have a healthy pregnancy! I’ve had 2 as well and have a lovely little boy :) It’s just one of life’s horrible things that happen.

TinoTheArtisticMouse · 28/12/2017 08:21

Oh that's really selfish of them Peter.
It's worth you getting your dr to run a blood test to check if your second outbreak gave you immunity, or if you're one of the unlucky few who can just keep catching it.
If you have no immunity, there is a treatment i believe they can prescribe if you get exposed to someone with cp, which will make yours less severe.
I had to have the blood test done, as I've never had cp - turns out I'm immune; must have had a really mild case, that my body fought off before the spotty stage.

milney25 · 28/12/2017 09:02

Hi @peterpanwendy worth noting that this is my first time and I'm really anxious! Most of my questions are around my symptoms (or lack there of!) and continued spotting. But also silly things like, can I do my pilates classes?! Because I've not been since my BFP!

Kiki275 · 28/12/2017 09:35

@milney your pilates should be perfect, just let your instructor know. Less stress for you can only be good thing all around. www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/pregnancy-exercise.aspx
Apart from tender(ish) boobs - I have no symptoms as such either, so try not to let that worry you, I'm counting it as a blessing at the moment as some ladies on here are suffering miserably. @strawberryfields That sounds awful, I understand you're anxious, but if you are being hit full force with morning symptoms, what is the likelihood of it not showing what you'd like? It's still only the continued lack of AF that's keeping me grounded. Can you speak to your GP about IV fluids if really bad, water is vital - or pehaps try and eat lots of high water foods such as melon or jelly (I love orange jelly made up with OJ instead of water)? x

E2017 · 28/12/2017 10:53

Just been told by one of my colleagues that when I went for my appt yesterday my manager was bitching to everyone that I'm insulting her intelligence by not just telling them that I'm pregnant. Which apparently started a conversation between that particular shift about what they thing is going on with me, how long I'm spending out of the room I.e. when I go to the loo. How many loo trips I'm taking. My appetite, my appearance and how much weight I've gained etc.

Feel absolutely furious and incredibly upset that I've become such a topic of discussion. 🙁
