So my nausea has ramped up and I'm 9 weeks. It's a bit late to the party, there was me thinking I was pretty lucky this time round but I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself this morning

ClareB83 · 21/11/2017 11:31

I’m sorry @UnicornsandRainbows1 it is horrible. Mine was really mild until week 10, then it was awful. Lasted all day. But by week 11 it vastly improved. Hang in there!

ElizabethLemon · 21/11/2017 11:43

My scan went well today, one healthy baby. They've moved my dd one day to the 4th of June, feeling excited now and can’t wait to tell ds later.

Next scan is th 17th of January and then I’ll have 3 extras in the 3rd trimester due to a small baby last time.

Good luck to everyone else with scans this week and thoughts to those who are having a tough time.

Woohoo @ElizabethLemon good times!!

Mummyloves09 · 21/11/2017 15:00

@Unicornsandrainbows1 sorry that your sickness has got worst but hopefully it will go away soon.

@Elizabethlemon lovely pic, good luck with telling your ds later.

Now that the scans actually resemble a little baby it's feels so surreal. Bring on June 2018 😊

RockinRobinTweets · 21/11/2017 16:09

@ElizabethLemon lovely scan

Our 12 week scan is on Thursday and feeling nervous even after a successful scan at 8 weeks.

I've also been feeling terrible again since the weekend, just so tired and nauseated. It had improved so much too.

I've got a little bump now but hopefully only really visible to me!

Cookie1831 · 21/11/2017 16:35

So sorry gloria thoughts are with you xxx
My nausea seems worse the last week or so too and I am 9 weeks tomorrow not actually been sick just feel lousy much of the time which although isn’t fun is reassuring x

Cookie1831 · 21/11/2017 16:36

Lovely scan elizabeth what a wee cutie!

Sleeeeeepy · 21/11/2017 17:57

Great scan @ElizabethLemon ! If you don't mind me asking, how big was your first? DS was on the small side but I was measuring big for ages so I'm wondering if I'll need extra scans too.

ElizabethLemon · 21/11/2017 18:25

Thanks all! We told ds after school and he is delighted and has been talking about it nonstop.

@Sleeeeeepy he was around 5lb 3oz at term so quite small. I had a growth scan last time because the midwife thought i was measuring small for dates. At the scan they predicted he’d be over 7lbs so a little bit out!

ElizabethLemon · 21/11/2017 18:25

He’s now a tall 6yo!

Newbietwo · 21/11/2017 20:21

elizabethlemon lovely scan photo! I think we share a due date then- 4th June? My ds arrived on his edd (I’d been in labour for 2 days by then though) so hoping this one is on time too 😉

To all others feeling more sick again, hope you get relief from it soon. Mine has been worse the past ten days, I’m now 12 weeks and really hoping it goes soon. I could hardly stand to prepare my son his dinner today and couldn’t taste it to see if it was too hot.

senzaparole03 · 22/11/2017 09:53

So I still haven't received a scan date from the NHS. I'm 9+6.

Glad I booked a private scan... I have it this afternoon... eeek!!

First pregnancy, first scan. I'm excited but also so worried!

jemk83 · 22/11/2017 10:03

Anyone else utterly fed up and miserable with the nausea and dizziness?! I’ve literally not been able to get off the couch for 3 weeks now (I’m 9weeks) as the room spins and I know I’ll be sick... If I stay still I’m only sick 2 or 3 times a day but I’m basically constantly on the verge of it 24 hours a day! I was getting some relief last week from eating very small nibbles of things every half hour or so, now I literally can’t put anything in my mouth! Husband is doing his best to be supportive but I’m absolutely miserable, exhausted and snappy all the time... Was so, so looking forward to being pregnant and I’m just gutted that I can’t enjoy it!

SylvesterTheCat · 22/11/2017 12:53

Sorry to hear your sad news Gloria. Also thinking of those who are feeling rotten. I was getting hopeful a couple of weeks ago, thinking the worst is over but nausea returned last week.

Went to pilates this morning and now feeling the worst so far. Dizzy, super nauseous, generally feeling very weird. Anyone else had this? I hadn't been for a couple of weeks (couldn't be asked) and haven't done much exercise during pregnancy but I thought I took it easy. Hoping it might just be low blood sugar and nothing bad Sad

ClareB83 · 22/11/2017 13:03

Had my scan today. Both babies are good and my bleed has shrunk. So feeling happy!

@jemk83 maybe you need to speak to your doctor, that’s sound really extreme.

Congratulations!! Come over and join the FB group now!!

ElizabethLemon · 22/11/2017 14:17

@ClareB83 lovely photos!

I’m feeling gross today, I didn’t eat enough this morning so I’ve been really nauseous and dizzy. Getting bored of it now!!

I’d like to join the FB group, can someone remind me of the email for an invite?

senzaparole03 · 22/11/2017 14:38

I'm feeling generally ok, but I am full to the brim with excitement/nerves, anticipation/anxiety over the scan!

One more work call/meeting and then it's time to head off...

jemk83 · 22/11/2017 16:27

@ClareB83 Thank you. Doc and A&E basically both said I’m not physically vomiting enough for medication, it’s irrelevant that I literally cannot live any semblance of normal life and have lost a stone in weight. General advice has been to drink lucozade! 👍 just waiting it out and praying that it passes soon! Xx

ClareB83 · 22/11/2017 18:25

Oh poor you @jemk83 that’s horrible. At least lucozade has several flavours now!? (Really trying to look for a bright side.)

What Facebook group?

ClareB83 · 22/11/2017 19:02

@senzaparole03 How did it go?

backformore · 22/11/2017 19:48

@jemk83 That's insane - you're sick three times a day IF you stay still, and the doc won't put you on meds? I'm in Canada, so things may be different here (our DD was born in England, so I know pregnancy/birth is much less medicalised, which overall I think is a great thing)...but my midwife was offering me a Diclectin prescription from 6 weeks. I finally caved and went for it around 10 weeks, and at last I'm feeling human again.

I hadn't wanted to go on meds, but the Diclectin is just a combination of B6 vitamin and a tiny amount of the stuff that's in Gravol (which itself is now considered safe in pregnancy). Just had 12 week scan, and all is well with the baby, but I'm still hoping to wean myself off the pills in the next few weeks. Won't be above taking them again if the nausea returns, though - I was getting quite depressed as a result of it, so you have my sympathy!

Sleeeeeepy · 22/11/2017 20:34

@jemk83 you poor thing, that sounds horrendous. I'm feeling pretty awful but nothing in comparison. I'm hoping I've only got three more weeks of the nausea if last time's pattern holds.

Congrats on the scans @ClareB83 some great pictures!

senzaparole03 · 22/11/2017 21:33

@Clare it was wonderful!!

Baby was very animated, which was so lovely to see. I was welling up!

Measurements all good, everything looking as it should be. Edd brought forward 1 day so still pretty much on track.

I am delighted!!
