I also love reading all the descriptions of kicks on here :) Must be so exciting and make it feel so real.

I can't wait to feel them now but I am only 17 weeks today and this is my 1st child, so Midwife said probably still got quite a while till I feel him kicking.
On my scan on Monday evening though his little feet never stopped kicking!!

fitbitbore · 09/11/2017 22:08

Got my 20 week scan tomorrow!!! Feel something about every 3 days due to the anterior placenta. Will be interesting to find out exactly where it is.

ScarletSienna · 10/11/2017 06:55

Hope your scan goes well Fitbitbore-I felt like I held my breath last time at my 20 week scan until I knew he was ok!

Testar0ssa · 10/11/2017 12:41

Ladies, in case you are missing your end of week celebratory G&T(s), May I draw your attention to Seedlip? It looks and tastes like gin (in that it has that sharp, botanical finish), but it does not contain alcohol. Serve with ice and tonic and a slice of citrus and you wouldn’t know you weren’t getting happily tipsy. I got my bottle from Amazon and so I assume it’s easily found.

redavocado · 10/11/2017 19:08

Had my 20 week scan yesterday and we’re having a girl! I’m so excited! Finally off to buy come clothes and things tomorrow. Grin

Sunshinesaz86 · 10/11/2017 20:19

Congrats to all who've had their recent scans and found out the sex! Very exciting times!

I've been a bit AWOL after spending a week in hospital with DS and then getting hit with a horrific head cold!

However I've felt the baby's first proper little prods today really defind they were! 😬😬 can't wait to start feeling them more regular!

I hope everyone has a good weekend x

If there is anyone else on here who wants to be added to the secret Facebook group, just send me a PM with the email address that you use to log on and I will add you.

FairfaxAikman · 10/11/2017 23:16

I can’t pm on the app SparklyOwl

crispydumpling · 11/11/2017 07:29

Hello everyone sorry I’ve not been around much, I keep forgetting about this group 🙈

Almost 20 weeks here, scan on Wednesday. I’m starting back at work after maternity leave the week after so I’ve been busy getting DS2 settled into nursery and we’ve both had gastroenteritis this week - luckily only mild.

@SparklyOwl I’ve sent you a PM about the Facebook group, hopefully I’ll be better at keeping in touch that way!

fitbitbore · 11/11/2017 07:59

@SparklyOwl I've sent a pm for Facebook x

SparklyOwl · 11/11/2017 09:02

crispy and fit, I have emailed you the link.

If you want to join Fairfax just wait until you have access to the main site (if you are on a smartphone, you can always log onto Mumsnet via Google or Safari as a one off to send a PM).

FairfaxAikman · 11/11/2017 09:49

Switched to chrome but my phone really didn't like it and kept opening the app. Hopefully I've been able to send that PM.

MissYeti · 11/11/2017 11:38

Morning ladies hope you all are well!

@sparklyowl ive pm'd you to join the fb group!

Only a week to go til my private gender scan!! I'm really excited to find out ❤❤

MissYeti · 12/11/2017 07:51

Me again! Had some cramping last night right across the top of my bump, has anyone experienced this between 16 & 17 weeks? Ovia says it's normal to cramp in 2nd trimester and I have a cough so I'm inclined to think it could be a few things. No bleeding as of yet

boatrace30 · 12/11/2017 08:17

I definitely get cramps from time to time. I wouldn’t worry unless the pain is severe

OP posts:
FairfaxAikman · 12/11/2017 10:46

I’m experiencing quite a bit of back/abdomen discomfort verging on low level pain today. Also had a small amount of spotting - the only time since a small smear at 6 weeks (17+5 now).
Trying not to worry but it is hard.

fitbitbore · 12/11/2017 22:35

@FairfaxAikman hope the pain/spotting has calmed down! I've bled in both pregnancies. Think some people are just bleeders!

FairfaxAikman · 13/11/2017 06:06

Fitbitbore the fact I’ve had nothing till now and very little in the way of symptoms anyway makes me really paranoid

Sam91TRS15 · 13/11/2017 08:56

Fairfax, have you booked the EPU? Hope your doing OK xx

MissYeti · 13/11/2017 09:41

Pretty sure mycramping was my belly popping. My bump is huge now! Hope you're feeling better today Fairfax xx

Sunshinesaz86 · 13/11/2017 11:06

Hope things have settled fairfax definitely speak to mw or epu if your worried even for peace of mind.

Hope your cramps have eased missyeti exciting about your gender scan coming up soon.

crispy will you be telling work straight away about your pregnancy. How are you feeling about going back. Hope DS settles in well.

I've got my 20 scan tomorrow excited/nervous I've been told it'll be 40 mins rather than 30 as there's a trainee that will be having a look as well.

Also booked my yoga/hypnobirthibg class starts on the 22nd and finishes just after xmas. If i enjoy it I'll book straight back on which will take me up until I'm nearly due. I hope I find it useful. Never gone yoga before and not very fit or flexible 😂🙈

FairfaxAikman · 13/11/2017 11:57

I called the midwife and she said take paracetamol but wasn’t too worried.
Turns out the spotting was a bit more than I’d thought as I discovered when I put my bath towel in the wash this morning.
I’m still getting the odd shooting pain though.

Balls. I meant to send that as a PM to @sparklyowl and now I've outed myself good and proper! I've asked Mumsnet to delete the post for me because I can't work out how to do it myself... Blush

MrsDneedsaB · 14/11/2017 06:49

Don’t worry @RosesForBadgers I don’t think any of us saw it ☺️

@FairfaxAikman are you still bleeding? My friend had a couple of bleeds around this time of her pregnancy and it turned out her placenta had moved to become placenta previa and she was doing too much so it made her bleed. How many weeks are you now? Hopefully if the midwife isn’t too concerned then it’s just a normal thing. I’ve heard lots of things can make you bleed - what a pain!

I’ve returned from my work trip with a dodgy tum and flipping haemorrhoids 🤬😳🙈 so blooming uncomfortable and now a dead cert that I will get them during/after labour - great!
