I want cherries now as well!

BlueeSpottyTiger · 05/08/2017 20:25

scooby mine's the opposite boobs!
Yeah my dd has increased alot too. I'm hoping as my milk changes she decides to stop having it.. I've heard that happens in pregnancy. I couldn't imagine feeding two!
Do you have any plans to stop? I don't yet xx

Scoobygang7 · 05/08/2017 21:43

@BlueeSpottyTiger I don't have any plans to stop, but I am at peace with him weaning if my milk dries up. I'll happily allow him to relatch if he wants to when my colostrum comes in. I think it's just going to be a case of play it by ear.

I am at the moment planting seeds of him having to share boobies with baby. How much he understands I don't know but at least I feel like I am trying to make it a smooth transition. Rather than suddenly baby is here and the boobs aren't just his anymore. How about you?

Countdowntofour · 06/08/2017 09:04

Morning ladies 😊 how's everyone this morning?
I'm still in bed, dp is at the gym, dd1 is in her room and dd2&3 are downstairs. Having a relaxing Sunday and going to meal plan for the week and heavily research what to eat (type 2 diabetic). I'm about 9-10 weeks atm (unsure as by dates id be nearly 10, by scan id be nearly 9!)

Excited1203 · 06/08/2017 09:17

Morning, that sounds lovely @countdowntofour. I got up for a snack at about 6 and then back in bed getting cosy, 9 weeks tomorrow and 2w+5 until my scan. I don't have the balance quite right yet with exercise. Seems like I'm cycling up a little hill just fine, then suddenly I'm freezing cold, vomit in back of throat, thirsty and breathless; all at once. Then fine again but very cold with blue lips later until I'm properly bundled up (I get that from being overtired too). I need to fine-tune when to back off before I reach that point during exercise and wrap up warm quickly as soon as I'm home, but I'm just not good yet at identifying where the exercise pause needs to come in. Is anyone else struggling with exercise or had issues but got it nailed?

DancingUnicorn · 06/08/2017 09:26

Excited I ended up doing a lot of walking yesterday, and it completely wiped me. I felt ok mostly while I was doing it, but was unbelievably exhausted once I stopped. My legs are getting sore much more easily as well (very sore today, more than they would normally be after that amount of walking!)

SheSaidHeSaid · 06/08/2017 09:26

Morning all!

Currently laying on the tv room comfy sofa with one of the cats on my lap, decaf coffee just out of reach which is unfortunate as over my dead body will I disturb my sleeping cat to tend to my own needs 😂.

Flatwhite31 · 06/08/2017 09:28

Morning lovely ladies! @Excited1203 poor you getting stuck in the bathroom. How awful. It must be hard to imagine now, but it'll all be worth it in the end when your house looks amazing!

@ZylaB I think our dates must be very similar. I'm 9+4 today.

I've been feeling quite a bit better over these past few days. I do think that completely relaxing at my parents' place (no housework, no cooking etc) has helped a lot. I've also slept really well as it's nowhere near as hot at night here. Back home tomorrow, although they are then coming to us on Wednesday for five days which will be nice.

I've finally got my booking appointment on Wednesday. I feel like I've been waiting for ages!

BlueeSpottyTiger · 06/08/2017 09:31

scooby it's very unlikely that your milk will dry up.. aslong as your ds is feeding you body will carry on producing milk. I've read that as colostrum comes in and they get all the rich milk they actually don't eat as much normal food for a while. I'll just roll with it and see what happens now xx

excited i never exercise 🙈 i think its because I'm naturally slim I've never had to but i should really for the health benefits!
I Do enjoy swimming! Maybe i should just do that more

countdown how old are you dd's?
Sounds like your having a nice morning.
My dp is back in work for the first time this week since losing his dad last weekend so we've had lie ins all week but I've had to get up with DD today.. not too bad she slept until 8.30am xx

BlueeSpottyTiger · 06/08/2017 09:32

flatwhite mine is on Wednesday too.. 8.30am! Xx

Excited1203 · 06/08/2017 09:34

Poor you @DancingUnicorn, maybe that's a good sign of growing extra muscles. I have no soreness, think my body was over-reacting quite a lot to being only slightly pushed.

Lucky cats @SheSaid. Which decaf do you like? We got Kenco Millicano, which is ok but still not like real coffee.

Excited1203 · 06/08/2017 09:36

Sorry for Mr SpottyTiger @Bluee, that must be particularly hard for him with you being just pregnant.

FuzzyOwl · 06/08/2017 09:56

Glad you understand the rule of having cats SheSaidHeSaid. Grin

I am another one who doesn't exercise excited but I hope you find the balance soon.

Sounds a lovely morning countdown.

Glad you are feeling better flatwhite.

I've just got up and am planning a fairly lazy day apart from a walk with my toddler later on.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

whereareyousleep · 06/08/2017 10:27

I've been packing up loft since 8am while 4yo DS is playing with everthing hopefully will get a moving date next week. Going out for dinner then back home to tidy for surveyor coming on Thursday. Really can't be bothered to do any of it. Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday Smile

whyhastherumgone · 06/08/2017 10:36

Morning everyone - I'm now 7 weeks :D really hoping we have made it past the six week hurdle this time. Slight wobble yesterday when my symptoms had eased off a bit but I'm trying to tell myself it doesn't really mean anything - my friend who is a midwife met me for coffee last week and said the same thing, they will fluctuate etc and if you get more rest/manage to eat more you'll feel better.

My bloating seems to have eased off a bit thank God, it was particularly bad around the six week mark but I've been keeping an eye on what I eat [particularly sensitive to dairy] and that seems to have helped. Also been drinking ginger + lemon and peppermint tea.

@blueespottytiger your poor DP, must be really hard for him

@Excited I usually do pilates and running but only managed to keep up with pilates until about 5 weeks as it started making me feel all shaky and sick. Tempted to give it a go if this feeling better lasts. Might switch to walking and swimming.

@Countdowntofour I've had a lovely lazy weekend and I think it's made a real difference, I actually slept pretty decently both nights and feel so much better as a result. I still fell asleep for a few hours in the afternoon yesterday though Blush

My booking appointment is on Friday, so think I might book a scan for the following week, will see how I feel. I think I have a bit of The Fear about them now even though I do want to check something is actually in there!

Hope you all have a good Sunday.

Bluebell93 · 06/08/2017 10:45

@Excited1203 my favourite decaf coffees are Carte Noire instant (I never liked normal Carte Noire but the decaf is really strong unlike most) and nespresso's decaf, but obvs need a nespresso machine for that. Haven't tried coffee (even decaf) since being pregnant though, never really fancied it...

Excited1203 · 06/08/2017 10:50

Thanks @Bluebell, I'll give Carte Noire a try (if I can remember when I get to the shops, I seem to have the memory of a flea already).

whyhastherumgone · 06/08/2017 11:05

Has anyone got an aero press for coffee? ours was £25 on amazon and if you use it with taylors of harrogate decaff you cannot tell the difference between normal coffee at all. Sadly I have completely gone off in so no decaff for me :(

Is anyone else still freaking out a bit every time they wake up feeling normal?

ZylaB · 06/08/2017 11:06

I I usually love coffee and grind my own fresh usually, but I've gone off the idea of it, the smell of my husband's made me gag the other day! It's a sad thing because I can get decaf beans and could have lovely fresh decaf coffee, if I could stand the idea of it!

whyhastherumgone · 06/08/2017 11:10

Same @zylab i've been avoiding making it for DH as well

DancingUnicorn · 06/08/2017 11:12

Yep, I normally love the smell of coffee, but it just smells rancid to me ATM.

hometownunicorn · 06/08/2017 11:16

@whyhastherumgone I love aeropress coffee. I've been drinking Taylor's decaf, which is a lot like normal coffee, totally agree that's the best option. Shame you've gone off it though, maybe it'll come back later on?

@Excited1203 I'm a runner, and cycle to work and have been just taking it a bit slower. I find I'm quicker to get out of breath and also sometimes feel sick when I run or ride, but I'm not beating myself up about walking a bit or slowing it down. It is frustrating though.

Excited1203 · 06/08/2017 11:37

Thanks, I'll just try to keep it a bit slower. Maybe the trigger point that I'm reaching the vomit/dizzy/thirsty/cold stage will become clearer to me.

hometownunicorn · 06/08/2017 12:20

@Excited1203 I find the point where it's too much seems very variable so don't stress yourself too much. I've just been for a run which was going great (no walking, feeling ok at a consistent pace) until I got to 5 miles when I was convinced I was going to puke in the street. I didn't, but it just came out of nowhere. Whereas other days it's come on much sooner, or I've somehow kept myself below threshold or paced it better and not really felt so bad. It seems to be a bit linked to time of day, tiredness, what I've eaten and distance for me but that doesn't explain it all.

Countdowntofour · 06/08/2017 13:33

I currently like the douwe egberts decaff.. but will try the carte noir!! 😊

@blueespottytiger they're almost 10, then 7 and 4. So quite good ages as they're pretty independant. The eldest is baby mad, she's going to be so excited when we tell them about number four 😊
