This will make you laugh ladies! I got ID'd today while buying wine for a charity raffle! The guy behind the till said, "Are you 18?" I replied with "plus 13!" Still had to show my driving licence though! Made my day!

SS81C · 27/07/2017 14:57

@banania - your GP is wrong....if you're 5 weeks from conception you add on the 2 weeks regardless of whether you had a period or not so you would be about 7 weeks as you thought (maybe a couple of days out either way).

@stumbly I'm so sorry it wasn't good news...im glad you're being looked after and your afternoon/evening sounds just what is needed. Definitely get on with planning some fun things on that honeymoon it sounds amazing!

Scoobygang7 · 27/07/2017 15:03

@stumblymonkeyagain I am so sorry take care of yourself. Your honeymoon sounds wonderful.

FuzzyOwl · 27/07/2017 15:09

Thanks for all the supportive comments. I have ordered some more tests and will see what it says obnoxiously Saturday. If it wasn't for the pink discharge, I wouldn't even have tested today. The discharge has stopped but I think I am still too early for a scan at the EPU.

NorthernBelly · 27/07/2017 15:12

So sorry @stumblymonkeyagain, look after yourself. Your honeymoon sounds amazing! We had a big honeymoon planned but then got pregnant with my DD straight after the wedding so we delayed it and still haven't gone 3 years later - grab the chance and have an amazing time 😊.

@FuzzyOwl, hope everything goes ok and your discharge stops.

@LaSurprise, so sorry to hear, take care Flowers

I've just been for my latest appointment at outpatients. Got two more scans booked in for the next two weeks. Next one is on Monday. I'm feeling so anxious even though we saw a heartbeat 4 days ago, every twinge is making me think the worst and I'm constantly pressing my boobs to check if they still hurt. Hoping I'll feel more confident after 12 weeks.

TeaAndPjs · 27/07/2017 15:50

northern its onlt normal to ne anxious, I tho k once you have 1/2 weeks etc between scans it can make you more ancious, well that's defo the case for me! My next 1 is Monday too

OrangeCloud18 · 27/07/2017 19:08

@FuzzyOwl I've got endometriosis as well so know exactly when I ovulated because I was in so much pain!
This aside, no one should trust the CB digital, mine said 2-3 when it should have been 3+ so I panicked a bit but my private scan was fine and put me at 6 weeks a couple of days later.
I am crossing fingers all is fine for you.

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 27/07/2017 19:38

Oh stumbly I am so sorry. Flowers

Crossing my fingers for you fuzzy.

Excited1103 · 27/07/2017 21:02

Sorry to hear your sad news stumbly, take good care of yourself and enjoy the wonderful honeymoon. X

FuzzyOwl · 27/07/2017 21:44

No more discharge at all and I have stupidly and foolishly ordered a couple more tests so I can try again this weekend. I have horrible acid reflux and definite bloating, so I am taking these as good signs all is still as it should be.

DancingUnicorn · 27/07/2017 21:56

Definitely sound like positive signs FuzzyOwl. Really hope everything works out perfectly for you. I'm sure worrying about our children will never go away, but I'm hoping the anxiousness of early pregnancy subsides into a more acceptable form of worry. I don't think I could cope with this for the rest of forever!

Excited1103 · 27/07/2017 22:29

What tests are you taking FuzzyOwl? I thought the clearblue only said "1-2, 2-3, 3+, not pregnant"?

mrskitty15 · 27/07/2017 23:15

Just catching up on the last 24 hours.

@Stumbly and @LaSurprise So sorry to hear your news. Take care and get lots of rest Flowers

I am still not really having many symptoms other than sore boobs now and again. 6+2 today and thought I would have more symptoms at this point, feeling slightly anxious but just getting on with things.

We have told my mum and dad the news, mum is receiving Cancer treatment at the moment and as there was a development I felt I needed to tell her, trying to stay as upbeat as possible.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

FuzzyOwl · 27/07/2017 23:19

They do @Excited1103 but after some bleeding mine says 2-3 weeks and it should say 3+ to tally with my dates. Bleeding has stopped and I am going to assume the test is unreliable.

Jacqueje · 28/07/2017 05:24

@stumblymonkeyagain and @lasurprise so so sorry to hear your news take care of yourselves and hope you're being pampered.

@fuzzyowl I wouldn't worry too much about the CB test, every woman is different in HCG levels and the difference between 2-3 and 3+ can be a matter of days. Also it's very difficult to predict exactly when conception and implantation occurred and it's only after implantation that HCG starts being produced. Even if you get an implantation bleed it's still not accurate as these don't occur exactly at point of implantation.

Excited1103 · 28/07/2017 05:29

Ok thanks @FuzzyOwl. I think I won't do another then, I'm already 7+4, so it'd panic me to get a 2-3. I had hoped I could use one to check the dates a little better (I got a 2-3 at 4+1), but they're a bit bloody useless to me now. I will try to learn how to not panic instead.

LouLouLoupee · 28/07/2017 08:05

Hello!

I was Loupee on the first thread, I've to set up a new MN account because I forgot my password and BT have stopped me accessing my email account.

Shall go have a read and catch up.

Sorry to see there's been some bad news Flowers take care of yourself

xxHappyHippyxx · 28/07/2017 08:07

Thinking of you both La and stumbly, rubbish news 😔

@mrskitty15 how weird, my mum is also having cancer treatment, it's her last day of radio today! Hope your mum is doing alright 💖 it's not easy..

My last day in the office today! Starting a new career path as well as starting a family.. I think I might be crazy 😜

Flatwhite31 · 28/07/2017 08:46

Sorry to hear about your mums @mrskitty15 and@xxHappyHippyxx. My mum went through the same thing just under 7 years ago. I'm looking forward to telling her our news in person when I see her next week .

Welcome @LouLouLoupee!

How's everyone doing today? I've woken up feeling sick and a bit spotty - attractive!

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 28/07/2017 08:52

That's exciting Hippy!

I have read so many accounts of CB digis giving 'wrong' dates and needlessly panicking women who actually had no reason to worry at all (normally progressing pregnancy). Easier to say 'don't worry' or 'don't do it' than follow through on that though I realise - I totally used a couple to 'check my HCG levels were progressing' in spite of knowing they would prove nothing.

5+5 and am sure im on the brink of morning sickness kicking in - I have too much saliva and feel mildly nauseous in a fragile sort of way for a few hours in the morning. And so so tired. My brain just doesn't work and I keep wanting to say "sorry I'm not usually this thick, I'm pregnant!" to almost everyone I work with.

ZylaB · 28/07/2017 08:52

Waiting on the gp to call me as there were no appointments left! I'm hoping they'll prescribe antisickness stuff over the phone

LouLouLoupee · 28/07/2017 09:11

So sorry to hear of the losses and uncertainty some of you are facing. Hoping for good news where there's still a chance.

My symptoms have been totally different from my previous pregnancy. I am constantly nauseous, only been sick a handful of times but they tend to pretty spectacular events.
I took DS to buy school shoes yesterday, ran out the shop during it and puked in a bin, except it's a covered bin, so it went everywhere. Luckily the lady in the shop was lovely, she sat me down with water and a biscuit and poured boiling water over the poor bin.

I am so tired and drained, so we have spending far too much time at kids cinema and soft play!

Have my booking in app on Monday when I'll be about 10 weeks, hopefully get my scan app soon after that.

HazelRah · 28/07/2017 09:18

Oh god LouLou! Although your story did make me chuckle I expect it was awful at the time!
I've started getting the first waves of nausea but it's still a little early yet. Happy to have symptoms but it's never fun wanting to blow chunks into your special k!!

Flatwhite31 · 28/07/2017 10:18

Oh @LouLouLoupee that sounds awful! So glad the shop assistant was helpful. I gagged on a bagel earlier. I've got a blood test in an hour to check a few things (standard for me, got a bit of a complicated medical history!) and I'm really hoping I don't feel sick or faint during it!

@xxHappyHippyxx how exciting about the new career! I often wonder what I would be like in another job, but as much as teaching drains me and stresses me out, I do think I'd miss it.

It has been interesting reading the Clearblue digital tests comments. Interestingly, I did one of those internet strips (one step I think they are called) a couple of weeks back using FMU and freaked out because the line was lighter than it should have been at 6 weeks. However, I then read online that those test strips tend to do that using FMU the further along you are, and to use more diluted urine. Sure enough, the line was much darker when using diluted urine. I'm not saying Clearblue would be the same, but it's an interesting point!

SheSaidHeSaid · 28/07/2017 11:34

Hi everyone

Trying to catch up and keep track of everything going on, sometimes difficult when the thread can move so fast between my visits to mumsnet!

I hope those suffering losses are doing as well as they can considering.

I had another awful nights sleep, I really do feel I shouldn't moan as I'm very lucky to even be in the position to feel crappy but I'm also hoping things improve as I'm shattered and it's frustrating.
