Thanks rise :) your kindness made me cry too so maybe he (mines male too?!) needs a cuppa and biscuit now!! Smile

RasperryInAMelon · 28/04/2017 17:17

@PeachIcedT and @newbieho I'm with you on the work worries. My concentration levels have to be up there too, I'm just trying not to worry about it just yet I guess.

@SanitysSake I'm oddly looking forward to labour, bricking it at the same time - but intrigued to see what my body is capable of

@dreamofhungarianlanterns what did you wear in the end? We've got this Leeds wedding next weekend and I can't find anything to wear... hospital bag will be going too and I've worked out where the local hospital is

@Sipperskipper Bloody hell! How big were they expecting her to be? When I had my scan they were predicting she'd be 8lb8oz at full term!

Hope everyone has had good last days at work today! Can't believe there are still some ladies working now!

@Rustler74 I was nosing on FB Bumps and Babies earlier and the community there is awful sadly. But too many people and waaaaay too many opinions I think

Have fun tonight @FoxMulder - DH has whisked me off for a night away, just been for a pregnancy massage 🤰🏼😊

@Barnes79 good work! I was just thinking we'll need a new thread today! Babies are coming thick and fast now - I'll try and update the spreadsheet next week once I'm in front of a desktop. There have been a fair few arrivals on FB too!

EsmesBees · 28/04/2017 17:31

Have a great time fox! Try not to talk about Ds too much! Wink

Am working from home today. Went upstairs about an hour ago, thought I might just have a quick sit down in bed, and promptly slept for an hour! Lucky it wasn't more as have to get DD from nursery now.

Sipperskipper · 28/04/2017 17:34

Have a great time fox. Hope that nap rejuvenated you esmesbees!

raspberry estimated birth weight was 9lb8! Now nearer 8lb14-15 - still chunky but a bit less massive!

Hope everyone has a great Bank Holiday weekend.

beanturnipandspud · 28/04/2017 17:43

@Tickyboovicki I think we will go over as I don't think I will properly relax until we are in the new house. The hold up is due to paperwork and some searches that haven't been received. 😩 my sols are shut for a week after today too which just adds to the frustration.

@1004Rise I feel your frustrations. I am such a "get up and go getter" that I do not feel like myself at all! I hate. It being able to do anything. And if one more person tells me to enjoy being fussed over 😡👊🏼 I don't enjoy it, I want to be able to do it. (Then I wonder where my kids get their stubbornness and independence from 😂👍🏼)

I've just come for a lie down and a Mumsnet catch up as I am soooo tired. Going to watch the new beauty & the beast tonight for a night without dcs and no packing 😊👍🏼 but first I need a sleep x

💛💙💖 happy maternity to all those who have officially left today 💖💙💛 it was my official leave date today too, although I actually left on Tuesday after the news about my grandad (who is still with us and causing us headaches which we're glad about 👍🏼) xxx

PeachIcedT · 28/04/2017 18:32

I have made it to nearly 38 weeks and have finally finished work . It's such a strange feeling. I was so busy today that I was practically running from A to B. Was expecting a slightly more chilled last day. Then got home and it hit me how tired I am and had a very rare nap. Hope you enjoyed your lunch @Rustler74 And hope everyone else finishing today was less stressed out than I was!

I have read the chimp paradox book @1004Rise , I can see how it could be applied to labour though I do expect it will be difficult to calm that chimp fully! Thanks for the reminder though I may have a re-read.

MrsJW15 · 28/04/2017 18:37

Ugh, first day of mat leave and I can't stop sneezing! Feels like I definitely have a cold Sad.

Bean that sounds like a lovely evening planned. I'm hoping we will also watch a film on the sofa, just need to find something on Netflix!

RedBlu · 28/04/2017 19:03

Last day today for me as well. Maternity doesn't officially kick in until my due date as I am using up holiday. However my team got me some lovely baby clothes, toys and a voucher for JL (which is as good as spent...)

Still struggling with SPD but just over three weeks to go now, the end is in sight...

teainbed · 28/04/2017 19:33

That's nice to be off work finally! Feet up. Hope you've all got relaxing plans for the Bank Holiday weekend.

BabyTea is 2 weeks old today!

newbieho · 28/04/2017 19:33

Aldi baby event is back in case anyone would like to do some nappy shopping...

EsmesBees · 28/04/2017 19:49

Thanks for the tipnewbie

And congrats to all those finishing work today. Very jealous. Still 2 weeks to go here. Anyone else still working?

Wow tea that's gone quickly. How is he doing? Are your other DC adjusting?

Bean the house situation sounds very stressful. Especially with the solicitor's holding things up. Hopefully not much longer.

teainbed · 28/04/2017 19:52

He is grand thanks @EsmesBees ! Feeding like a trooper. Still a bit jaundiced. My other DC have been great, they seem to have adjusted well. I'm regaining my one-handed eating and drinking skills. Grin Which aren't as honed as they used to be as BabyTea got egg mayo on his head at lunchtime today. Blush

teainbed · 28/04/2017 19:54

Have you tried Aldi nappies @newbieho ? I'm tempted.

Btw Waitrose own brand I'm convinced are Pampers without the logo, they even smell the same. But £2.50 a packet instead of £4 for the newborn size. I'm still using Pampers at night as I'd found they were best for avoiding leaks.

savagehk · 28/04/2017 20:01

me esmes - next week still.

Tickyboovicki · 28/04/2017 20:01

@beanturnipandspud ahh that is frustrating! At least you've got a bit longer until your due date, I'm really hoping you manage to get moved before hand 😊

@MrsJW15 I bet it's because you've finally stopped! Exactly the same happens to me and husband whenever we have time off, as soon as your body relaxes it's like it all catches up with you! Fingers crossed it goes quickly

Name for new group - what about something along the lines of 'finally may, will it be a baby a day?'

Hisashiburi · 28/04/2017 20:12

waves I am still working @esmees too! Congratulations to all those whose little ones have arrived - has been lovely catching up with this thread! Enjoy the long weekend x

CoxsOrangePippin · 28/04/2017 20:18

Still working here, another week to go - nice that it is a four day one!

EsmesBees · 28/04/2017 20:22

Glad there are a few others still working. I'm very thankful for the bank holiday Cox. Despite technically having two weeks left it's only 5 working days, and I have a load of appointments for scans, acupuncture and the midwife, so it shouldn't be too bad. Still can't wait for it to be done though.

RasperryInAMelon · 28/04/2017 22:16

I've just set up a new thread - will post a link in a sec!

RasperryInAMelon · 28/04/2017 22:19

Thread 14 - A baby each day in the month of May...

Adventuregame · 28/04/2017 23:06

Anyone got any tips for a streaming cold ? Not much fun at 38 weeks pregnant !!

vanilla8 · 30/04/2017 11:56

Wishing everyone a nice bank holiday. Mentally I want to paint but physically can't.

Feel so tired today I may end up back in bed!

vanilla8 · 30/04/2017 11:56

Not sure why that didn't post on new thread!
