I definately qualify as a wide load

All i'm getting at the moment is, 'oooo aren't you big' comments. Even from dd who told me i was fat the other day, charming

Katy44 · 08/03/2007 15:23

Well I looked in the mirror and thought "I definitely look like a boiled egg now".
Then I thought "at least I don't look like a SCRAMBLED egg"
I'm easily pleased!

People keep saying my bump has dropped- I just feel like saying 'no, I just have a really fat belly!'

I'm finding it hard to steer my body around though.

Katy44 · 08/03/2007 15:29

mmk has created a new thread for breastfeeding - supporting each other

Katy44 · 08/03/2007 15:30

Yes, it';s feeling more and more like that
I need reversing beeps like a van

I should say that this thread will involve bottle feeding too, most of us have done some, or might be doing some. So don't feel left out if you are bottle feeding.

Katy44 · 08/03/2007 15:36

Can I also ask - was this meant to be for April 07ers? Otherwise it should probably go in the breast and bottle feeding section, which I don't want to happen.
I'm just starting to get a bit worried we might attract attention, and then end up with the usual fights, people afraid to say how they feel for fear of being judged...etc...
Am I being stupid?

Not this thread, the bf one, obviously!

Well have called mum to let her know how mw appointment went and she was quite nice today. Not too many comments about not letting them stay after the birth! Also just got strep b test result - negative . I only posted it back on Sunday so v impressed. Has anyone else done theirs yet? mw said the results would not go to her cos it was a private test but i'm sure the pack said a copy would be sent to mw...does anyone still have theirs and can tell me if i imagined this?

Hope mammyjo is ok.

lol @ scrambled egg Katy...that's what I had for lunch!!!

Katy44 · 08/03/2007 15:40

Did it look like me?
Glad your strep B test came back negative.
Would you recommend them for everyone or not? I can't decide whether to have one.

Katy, not being silly, i posted on a bf thread once, kept wtching it and it ended up as the strongly for bf versus the bottle feeders. IMO very very pro bf'ers are scary!!!!

mmk · 08/03/2007 15:46

I hear what you are saying Katy, maybe we'll keep it here, things are so freindly. (can we do that?)
Too late, I think I've already done it!

We don't want any scary folk joining in..it is basically a light hearted thing so far.

Katy44 · 08/03/2007 15:52

I don't know, think we'll have to see how it goes. I think it's a really nice idea, but I'd hate for it to end up in a fighting thread. Not everyone's as well behaved as we are

nuttygirl · 08/03/2007 15:59

Got a lot of info about the strep b test from here . It costs £32 and I suppose there are lots of other things that would have bought (easy to say that now it's come back negative!) but I thought it was worth it. I did have to get DH to help me with it though...it's 2 swabs - a vaginal one and a rectal one, I couldn't reach to do either!!! So you need to weigh up 'Do I trust DH to stick a swab up there???? '

Katy44 · 08/03/2007 16:01

hmm

nuttygirl · 08/03/2007 16:03

Have to admit I was v nervous...told him about 2 billion times that it only had to go up 1cm and was v embarrased when it was a bit brown after he took it out

mmk · 08/03/2007 16:07

psml, rotf, I'm going to ask Dh tonight if he'll do one for me, don't want to be left out.

Can just see him now, squinting, as he sets about the task..

Tili · 08/03/2007 16:08

desperately trying to catch up with you all but its not working!!
Cant believe theres a new thread already you can tell people are starting ML

Hope WO and mammyjo are ok and glad to hear you are ok Oogs.

My sincere apologies to anyone I have missed this thread just moves to quick for little me!

SOSPL im a bottle feeder too. Breast feeding wasnt happening with Beth so I bottle fed and intend to do so from the start with this LO.

Anyway better go

take care all xx

Katy44 · 08/03/2007 16:16

Hi Tili
mmk has already mentioned the other thread is intended for breast and bottle feeding, so join us there! I don't know which I'll be doing yet, definitely want to give bf a go, but not going to beat myself up if I can't.

Just been looking at the freedom slings website
She has 12 children

Ah yes wide load here to keep forgetting how huge bump is and banging it into things.

I don't think people should be mae to feel bad for not bf, my friend had her little boy about a month ago and tried bf with no help from the hospital no one to guide her and ended up with bleeding nipples because she wasn't producing any milk, now she is suffering from PND because she feels as though she failed the baby, it is so sad that there is such a big stigma about bf being the "right" thing to do especially when your unable to do it,and end up feeling that you have done wrong by your baby.

I hope to be able to bf the DT's but to be honest it wouldn't be the end of the world to me if I couldn't keep it up as I think I will have enough to deal with without feeling as though I am doing wrong by them fro not being able to do it.

You all have to remind me of this when i post and start saying I'm a faliure because I couldn't keep it up.

Katy44 · 08/03/2007 16:25

We will do! I agree - bf is important but a happy and healthy mum and baby (or babies) is much more important!

OP posts:
Katy44 · 08/03/2007 16:26

Do you think the slings come with the incredibly cute baby thrown in?

OP posts:
1becomes3 · 08/03/2007 16:30

What!!! You want another baby thrown in with your sling katty ARE YOU MAD
