@RedBlu it's easy to say but try not to feel guilty, I know I would feel exactly the same if I were you but as everyone else has said you have two people to worry about now, healthy happy mum = healthy happy baby. If you weren't pregnant and had been taken to hospital in an ambulance yesterday you wouldn't think twice about not being at work this week.
@Tickyboovicki I'd seriously consider getting the movers to pack for you (they always leave the kettle & tea cupboard til last) it's so much easier and unpacking is no where near as disorganised as you think. They take a box to the corner of the room and pack that whole corner, so everything that was together is still together at the other end and labelled. Whereas when I pack I end up trying to put all the same things in one box so wander round the house looking for cds or something. Which means when you move you only need to unpack the boxes in the rooms you need rather that rooting through 20 boxes for stuff for the corner of the lounge

We had our last NHS ante-natal class today, again it was only DH & I there so personal service again! We talked through all the forms of pain relief, before and after, and we even did a bit of hypnobirthing with the midwife
She's very much of the try not to go down the intervention route because once you start it tends to lead to more. She was explaining how labour is all hormone driven so if you can keep your oxytocin up and your adrenaline down it will all go much more smoothly, which is why she's such an advocate of the hypnobirthing
She was also very practical in explaining when other methods of pain relief actually have their place... like at 2am when you've been in the first stage for 2 days and you're still only 2cm and it would be really useful if you could just sleep for a few hours to be more ready for the next bit... then morphine is useful. I think we both feel much more comfortable with all the options so if someone suggests something at some point we know what I'm saying yes on no to!
