slight change from the one i had planned but figured we'll only truly be hard-boiled once we're overdue!

WCL - at the start of my bh they were very intense, coming every couple of minutes and lasting probably up to a minute but then they died down and came back and were all abit random until after about 2 hours they started to get much shorter each time and then stopped. With ds though my entire labour was like that, contractions were never at regular intervals and were triggered by me moving. I was very close to ringing hospital last night when they started to trail off but have still been getting occassional twinges since but then have so many aches and pains when they're quite mild its difficult to really be sure. I have an appointment with consultant on thurs morning so was thinking ill just wait till then or do you think i should see someone sooner? I never had any bh or anything with my last 2 until early labour and dd was born 6 days late and ds was 5 to midnight on day before his due date so all this is new to me! At first i was just thinking oph well id know if it was actually on its way out so ill just wait and see if i feel a head coming then i thought well hang on its abit early really, shit, what do i do!!

Pesha

I am on third as well and my previous labours were both totally different, I haven't a clue what to expect this time round.

All I can say is that if I were having regular/worrying contractions then I would get checked out. If I were in your shoes and felt things were 'not quite right' I would call the midwife for advice and possibly to arrange an internal to check for dilation/effacement.

Hope everything is fine

Have read through some of my posts from tonight and sorry they are all such a mess - its like one long garbling thought process written down. Which it is! But sorry, not very easy to make sense of i wouldn't have thought!

WCL - thank you, didnt want to worry people and make a fuss over nothing and also cos its 3rd time i kinda feel like i should know better by now and take it all in my stride (ha!) but think i will ring mw tomorrow and see what she says. Will shit a brick if it turns out i actually am having this baby early!

Hello to you all, hope things are going (mostly) well.
This is the start of my last week at work, and I'm so glad, I'm really having trouble concentrating.

Got more stuff out of the attic at the weekend. We have literally tons and tons of unecessary stuff (eg a car seat blanket, a car seat waterfproof cover, car seat footmuff with hood) We got my pram out, and it was a good idea. It needs some work, and covers washing. Also, we can't really remember how to work it!
The nursery looks like a tip again. Got my guilt free Tushie nappies too.

DH lost the cot bolts, but luckily, we got some free spare ones from Babies R us.

We are as ready as we can be. The Nursery told me to get a full time space in Nov I'd have to register the baby now, how spooky is that? Mind you, the nursery if totally fab.

It's ironic that having spent all our money, and years and years of IVF to create our family, that I now have to go back to work when the baby is only 9 months old. I feel so very bad about it. I@m praying for well paid part time work!
