Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Pebblemum · 02/03/2007 10:38

Good luck Charleymouse along with all the others on here i will be keeping everything crossed for you. {{hugs}} Make sure dh keeps us all updated!!!

Morning all

Is anyone else finding it very uncomfortable when their baby moves? For the past three days Ive been really suffering. It feels as though he/she is trying to bust out. Its not the actual kicks, they dont really bother me except make me jump sometimes but then the baby feels as though it is shifting its whole body and thats when it is really uncomfortable and a bit painful. It doesnt normally get this bad until im almost due and there is less room in there yet i still have 11wks to go so that cant be the problem (dont tell me this is a sign i will have a big baby

cinnamontam · 02/03/2007 10:45

Hi Pebblemum - I'm getting exactly that as well. I have 12 weeks to go and there are the kicks and then just slightly painful shifting movements as well

Juicylucytoo · 02/03/2007 10:52

me too. Like he's having a stretch. Getting quite hearty kicks in the ribs too. I've got just over 12 weeks to go.

twelveyeargap · 02/03/2007 10:53

Pebble, I feel a bit "icky" with some of the movements. The whole body movements seem to make my stomach heave a bit. It's weird. I've seen my bump move, in its entirety, from side to side as she (presumably) does flips.

The kicks on the bottom right of my bump feel fine, the elbows (I think) under my ribs, right near my stomach are uncomfortable.

It won't be long before they're more restricted in movement I think it won't feel so weird.

DH pointed out last night that my bump is lopsided - it sticks out a bit more on the left than right. I hope that means that she's head down, lying on my left. That's how she was at my last scan. If she stays that way it's good news for me. DD was OP, but with her I had equal movement on both sides as I had an arm and a leg each side and this definitely feels different.

DH was also lovely and said my belly was very sexy. I was very pleased.

Juicylucytoo · 02/03/2007 11:13

Pod is lopsided too, but lying more on my right.

aprilmeadow · 02/03/2007 11:38

I have been having the same - very uncomfortable and pressure down below. Only 9wks to go thank god!

I have Take That tickets!!!! very pleased DH paid a fortune £240 each!!! Although they're front block and within the first 20rows. My bf now has to decide if she really wants to see them, otherwise i am on the look out for a friend!

cinnamontam · 02/03/2007 11:39

Wow - good work AM. Very nice seats

Juicylucytoo · 02/03/2007 11:45

blardy flip! (am trying out new ways of not swearing in preparation for Pods arrival - what do you think ) £240 a ticket. They'd better be good for that!! Quite that you're going to see them AM. When is it?

And only 9 weeks to go. Wish that was me too

Creena · 02/03/2007 11:58

Howdy all!

Charleymouse - I know you've already gone but wanted to post in case your DH checks the thread for you to pass on our messages. I'll be thinking of you and sending you lots of virtual hugs. I know it's frustrating and sad to be in hospital but it really is the best place to be, both for you and the babies. Take good care of yourself.

Bobba movements - I've been a bit disturbed by some of mine! When bobba gets the hiccups, for example; it feels like this weird pulsing sensation. Sometimes it's funny though, as bobba seems to get the hump with hiccuping after a while and starts doing mad karate style kicks. Also, (and this is probably TMI ) I've noticed recently that bobba goes into an almighty kicking and punching spree when I have an orgasm. It's put me off the old getting jiggy widdit, to be honest!

twelveyeargap · 02/03/2007 12:37

I'm such a skiver. Going to get my hair cut in a minute.

That said, I have been "adding value" at work today. Have done tons of work for a change. Might be something to do with the fact I was in bed by 9.30.

DH had to put me to bed. Literally. My face was practically IN my dinner I was so tired and then I went to lie on the sofa and I was moaning and whining like a toddler. I can completely understand where little ones are coming from when they do the "fractious" thing. That was me last night. DH pulled me off the couch and pushed me up the stairs.

aprilmeadow · 02/03/2007 13:03

30th November at the O2 Arena. Nearly died when he told me!!

Pebblemum · 02/03/2007 13:33

Wow Aprilmeadow im so of you. Never got round to seeing them when i was younger (in fact Robbie last year was the first concert id ever been to , bit of a late starter on the gig front!) Cant see me convincing dh to spend that much on a ticket for me though not when hes planning on spending a week at Centre Parcs in November for about the same price lol. I bet it will be worth every penny though.

Im glad its not me who isnt enjoying all of LO's movements. I know its reassuring to feel it but some of them feel so horrible. On the plus front though ds1 managed to feel him/her kick last night for the first time. Normally everything goes quiet when anyone places their hand on my bump but last night he felt a good few kicks, i wish i had taken a photo of his face, he had a big smile on his face. I tried to get ds2 to feel the kicks but he doesnt really understand what it is he is feeling, he does keep kissing, cuddling and stroking my bump though and picking things out to buy for the baby when we are shopping which is sweet.

LupinsBigLump · 02/03/2007 14:05

I am still waiting for my conformation email - but we have booked tickets - am sure they wont be as good as AM's (sooo jealous) and we have to go all the way to Manchester - still am very excited, they just flippin better turn up, a few peoples havent gone through

I find it funny when lo kicks except when it really low and feels like his foot is going to burst out - my bump is also lopsided, he does seem to like the bath maybe its just i notice it more there he does seem to do some big shiftin when i am in there, think he has changed position as altho i can feel him move i am not getting as much jabbing more shoulder shifts type thing

DD seems a little better today - she is still not right as she has fallen asleep again and we havent really done much and shes got not much appetite - took her to tesco and said have what you like and she couldnt think of anything she fancied - definatly sick!!

We got her school placement through this morning feel quite sad about it, she can go to a lovely school full time in sept, and i know it will be good for her socially but i hate the whole school system there is no individualism and it is all statistics and traing them to pass exams - not a happy mummy, I would home ed but i feel a bit overwhelmed by the reponsibility of it all and how on earth would i cope with baby, teaching dd and all the other day to day stuff that i dont even get round to doing now

twelveyeargap · 02/03/2007 14:39

Try not to get too upset about it Lupins. You can always encourage individuality. And with regard to SATs; when DD was doing hers, I kept reminding her that it was the school and the teachers that were were being tested, not her. It really helped. When the school sent her home with revision for the half term and that kind of thing, I left it up to her if she wanted to do it. Told her that under no circumstances did I expect her to "study" in the holidays and that I would back her up at school if there was a problem.

aprilmeadow · 02/03/2007 16:14

This will be the first time i will see them live. I have all of their tours on dvd/video from 1st time round. I cant tell you how excited i am!!

I have decided that this little alien must have more than 4 limbs! I wont be surprised if she comes out with 4 knees and 6 elbows etc

My lovely jeans from H&M that are only 4 weeks old are now cutting of the supply from my belly button down. Will have to get yet another pair as cant survive 2 mths without jeans!

Mrsjaffabiffa · 02/03/2007 16:30

Afternoon all.......

I don't think big early movements are a sign for a big baby. Big movements = healthy baby usually. dd was such a wriggler, constant shifting and poking out limbs. My friends could see it through my clothes from the other side of a table. She was a "normal" 7lb 7oz weight. This time round this one is much more relaxed, it has a mad 10 minutes about every 3/4 hrs and then sleeps, hoping thats a sign of things to come

AM, I saw Take That live at the BIC, Bournemouth, I think I must have been about 14? They were fab then, bet it will be an amazing show, Ohhhhhhhhhh and did I fancy Mark Owen? I always go for the little squirts!

Been swimming this afternoon again. The kids just LOVE it. I have to fight to get them out, even M at 18mths has a paddy when we get out. Grrrrrr

Any advice from those of you with 4yr old + on not arguing with Mummy and doing as they are told when they are told, not after the 3rd time of asking would be greatly appriciated. I am having a battle with H at the moment and it's getting me down. I feel I need to address it before number 3 arrives.

Mrsjaffabiffa · 02/03/2007 16:33

AM, Ella Alien, Hmmmm has quite a ring to it.

twelveyeargap · 02/03/2007 17:08

I never fancied any of them the first time round or had much interest in them. Though did end up going out with a Robbie Williams lookalike/ singalike for about 18 mths circa 2000/ 2001 though. Went to see the show at a local pub and copped off with the lead singer.

I now fancy Howard. I think he's a babe. He's the one with the slight lisp isn't he? If so, then he's the one I like. Nice chiselled features. Manly looking. DH just rolls his eyes at me.

twelveyeargap · 02/03/2007 17:09

Oh, found about 90 photos on a memory stick so must upload a couple of slightly more recent ones to my profile later.

lillaura · 02/03/2007 17:16

hi all - havnt been on for a little while so excuse me if i havnt caught up on news how are u all??

LupinsBigLump · 02/03/2007 17:20

MrsJaffa I posted about misbehaiour a few months ago - she has got better since we have limited the tv, but honestly its like talking to a brick wall sometimes, I was hoping it was a phase - but there is definatly alot more attitude since turning 4, sorry not alot of advice but your not alone

aprilmeadow · 02/03/2007 17:22

Always loved Mark! Although Howard is looking a lot nicer now than 10 yrs back as is [says in a whisper] Gary..... I had posters everywhere (had 2 bedrooms 1 at mums and 1 at dads). Bought as much of their crap as poss but didnt ever own the dolls! My bf used to get her mum to go to Our Price as soon as they opened to make sure that she got a copy of the latest album. Then she would get her to come to school at breaktime with it so we could all listen to it on her walkman!

lillaura · 02/03/2007 17:22

dd aged 3 (4 in july) is exactly the same think i find it more annoying that instead of walking away wen i asked her to do something she just stares at me with a really vacant look im at my wits end too thought it was me cuz dh seems to think im imagining it and that im stressed

LupinsBigLump · 02/03/2007 17:22

TYG Howard is the one that used to have dreads - Jason is the chisseled one - either way they are all flippin gorgeous, have never really gone for mark or gary, robbie was a close 2nd after howard mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm - meet me backstage boys!!

aprilmeadow · 02/03/2007 17:30

how can you not like mark lupins? Back in the days with the short hair like in the babe video........ Jason, one word RANCID! Not a big robbie fan.
