Oh god, I have already gone and bought some caffeine-free teabags. Don't think I could cope with cutting down to only two cups of tea a day, but they taste a bit funny! Thanks for the welcome and congratulations all round.

This evening I have started to get a bit of cramping. So it begins!

Can I join? We found out on Friday and it's taken until about now to feel real (first one, and much wanted so it was a bit of a shock to finally get the positive)

I've been feeling mostly ok, apart from a bit of dizziness and really painful trapped wind. Which is delightful...

Congrats to everyone else, I hope the next few weeks go ok

rosalyn44 · 30/01/2017 21:42

hello - I have enjoyed reading your posts.....due 9th or 10th oct by my calculation....4 weeks yesterday....no symptoms really...soo excited but nervous...eek

Kirsty8333 · 30/01/2017 22:41

Hi everyone, can I join please. Due 10th Oct so 4 weeks. Got my bfp on Friday. Been having cramps the last couple of days so really hoping this is normal as I had a miscarriage in November. I should know as I already have two dc but can't remember.

Trytowin · 31/01/2017 02:57

Can I join? My EDD is around the 9th October! Been using online cheapy tests and just confirmed with clear blue digital (just to get the weeks in 'writing!'

My symptoms are difficulty to sleep but also sleepy enough to crawl in bed straight after work and sleep thru! Also mind blowing headaches every day. It's our first baby 2nd month trying (first with ov. sticks) shocked, so pleased but worried too.

Thinking of calling docs tomorrow to get an appointment.

piraterach · 31/01/2017 07:20

Hi new people! This groups really taking off now.

It's strange to see that there seems to be 2 camps so far, those with no symptoms and those with all of them (I'm firmly in the all of them with insomnia, exhaustion, nausea and sore boobs). The joys of the first trimester lol! Smile

sj3rram · 31/01/2017 07:27

Hi guys. My EDD is 3rd October by my calves. My first and very much wanted. First month of properly trying too.

Very excited but also very worried about things going wrong. Have had spotting (brown-red) for a few days. Only when I wipe and only in the morning then nothing later on in the day very strange. Fingers crossed all is ok. Google is very bad when you're worrying anyways.

Had a gp appointment yday. Just took blood pressure and weight. Seeing the nurse tomorrow who will refer to midwife.

So congratulations to everyone SmileSmile

sj3rram · 31/01/2017 07:27

Oh and as for symptoms I have been sleepy, incredibly windy and needing to wee A LOT. That's pretty much it. Haha

powerpuffer · 31/01/2017 07:55

Hi all! I'm back after taking the weekend to let it all sink in! The symptoms I have are sore boobs and cramping - too much like AF for me! Oh and I randomly cried yesterday for no real reason!

We told our parents at the weekend which was fun and made it sink in a little more. Off for brunch with Mum and MIL today which will be nice.

I sent my midwife online referral off yesterday and booked and early scan for between 7 and 8 weeks as I'm too impatient to wait til 12!

Trytowin · 31/01/2017 08:03

Hi everyone

Bit confused on what I have to do now! So I booked a GP appt on the 13th feb(earliest I could book online) but it seems late so will call and ask if I need one or can go straight to midwife booking list. Nervous.com

I am a lot bigger than wanted so keen to get folic advice

Trytowin · 31/01/2017 08:16

Aha so at mine I only have to go collect forms no need for appt (cancelled the one I booked online) Gibbering wreck of a phone call as I was falling over my words. Receptionist was lovely though and said congratulations! Couldn't help thinking should have been on their site what to do but hey.

Now to go in person to get said forms! How exciting how much paperwork can be lmao.

hannahjoshaw · 31/01/2017 09:25

Hi all :)

I'd love to join here too please. I'm 5 + 1 so due 2nd October. I had a miscarriage at 5 + 5 in October so I'm feeling really nervous. I am waiting to call the doctor until I get past the time, which is stupid I know Blush.

Loads of symptoms, today is most about irritability so I feel bad for my coworkers Wink.

krakentoast · 31/01/2017 10:17

Hi new people! It's so nice to have a place to talk about it on here. I am not telling anyone just yet (except my partner, obviously) so it's good to let it all out!

I recognise some people on here from the January bus in the conception threads, hello!

Appointment with the GP surgery nurse this afternoon, who apparently then refers to midwife. Still no symptoms except very faint aching/cramping, so I really hope that's normal.

Cineraria · 31/01/2017 10:33

Hello, I'm really happy to be joining you but still feeling a bit cautious. We found out last week on our third wedding anniversary, which was lovely.

I should have a due date of 4th October by LMP but probably ovulated a few days late as DS, who's 16 months, still breastfeeds loads, so it could move back a bit.

It's my third pregnancy: the first ended at thirteen weeks; the second was DS; and the third ended at 8 weeks. Really hoping for another successful one before I'm too old (I'm 42).

Good luck everyone!

wapsmahoney · 31/01/2017 10:38

Hi Ladies,
Can I join please?! I got my BFP on Sunday and my EDD is 6th October. This is my first but im feeling super cautious as I had a MC at 5+4 at the start of December.
It feels so good to be able to tell people!
Im holding off seeing the doctor till I get passed 5+5 just to make sure this time ... then the next thing to worry about is flying to South Africa in just over 3 weeks time!

Congrats everyone :)

Jeneral · 31/01/2017 10:39

How's everyone doing today?

I've been feeling sorry for myself as have a nasty cold, aching all over and have that early pregnancy exhaustion like I could sleep all day (although have trouble sleeping when actually get the chance - naturally). Last night making the toddler's dinner and prepping ours, came over simultaneously with overpowering nausea and feeling totally shattered. Just looked at the food and thought I couldn't even summon the energy to finish cutting up a bloody carrot and all I wanted was to sit on the kitchen floor and cry. Half an hour later, felt fine. Arghhh!

It's such a weird time, the first trimester. You get this life-changing news yet you can tell no-one, and nothing's guaranteed, so it's this weird swinging between excitement and nerves and worry. Whenever I talk to a friend or family I am having normal conversations while in the back of my mind I'm shouting "I'm PREGNANT!!!!".

Any way, that's my long winded way of saying, lovely to be able to talk about it here.

Ps. I've also had the headaches but put this down to caffeine withdrawal- managed to cut back to two cups of coffee a day, aiming to get it down to one soon but I love my coffee!

Kirsty8333 · 31/01/2017 13:12

I feel exactly the same I just want to shout I'm pregnant but instead I carry on as normal while my mind is in overdrive thinking about it constantly. It's going to be a long 8 weeks( fx everything is ok between now and then)

krakentoast · 31/01/2017 13:39

It's SUCH a weird time. (Not helped by lack of coffee!) It's also so weird to be thinking about it constantly while realistically there is nothing we can actually do at this stage except wait for a scan/booking in appt.

puttingourhoodupdown · 31/01/2017 14:55

Lovely to see so many new joiners, yay! Literally can't wait to get past 12 weeks, the worry and the wait drives me mental and I just want to tell people. Plus I have 2 very close family/ friends weddings then it's looking unlikely I will be able to attend as one is abroad and I don't think I'll be able to fly so late, the other is around my due date, 3 hours from home and I should be a bridesmaid so I just want to be able to tell these people so they can make their plans accordingly!

wapsmahoney · 31/01/2017 15:09

Ah puttingourhoodupdown I know what you mean! DH and I are off to South Africa in just over 3 weeks for a family wedding, by this time I will be 8 weeks don't want to be telling everyone till we get to at least the 12 week mark. My MIL will be there too so am dreading having to pretend im drinking. I wish I could fast forward through the next 8 weeks and feel a little less anxious!

han1984 · 31/01/2017 16:57

Is anyone else having skin breakouts? Honestly not had my face look like this since I was a teenager, is that normal? Blush

hometownunicorn · 31/01/2017 17:35

It is so weird, but really good to be able to talk about it with people who're in the same boat.

I have a gigantic spot on my chin Han, I'm convinced everyone is staring at it. Also, a spot on my neck and a few others as a wonderful bonus. I'm hoping it's normal!

Nimisha · 31/01/2017 17:41

Ham I've had zits too. Generally feeling OK, just waves of nausea, tiredness and sore boobs. 6 weeks today!

angelicjen · 31/01/2017 19:36

Obviously it's completely down to what you feel comfortable with but we have told our parents and best friends already. I figure that if anything does go wrong I'll need their support so they may as well know now. Plus it explains why I'm such a stroppy zombie by the afternoon! I know there's a thing about not telling anyone until the scan, and I wouldn't want it to be public knowledge til later, but it's such a huge thing to go through that I find it helpful to talk about with a few trusted people. So if you want to tell someone I reckon do it!
