Thanks so much presh I'm going to book with them for in a couple of weeks....I had said I was going to one near me in Solihull but that was £70 so this is a bargain!

Presh88 · 25/01/2017 20:38

No problem putting! When are you thinking of having one? I'm going to book for just after 7 weeks - will hopefully be able to see the heartbeat by then which will be more reassuring than going too early I reckon!

Hmm I'm going to the GP on Friday and I'll only be 4+6! The receptionist didn't even ask how far along I was when I called and I told her I'd only just found out... will let you all know if it's useful or a waste of time.

Crazy emotions tonight - started crying at husband for not being home to help me food shop/put it away and leaving me to cook dinner (which I do every night anyway as I'm home first and a better cook) Grin I think this was probably being hungry mixed with pregnancy hormones but poor bloke didn't know what was going on!

donkey86 · 25/01/2017 20:59

Ha, presh, I'm glad it's not just me - I cried at my husband in the supermarket on Saturday because I was hungry and he was being slow. I've never seen him so confused!

I'll be interested to hear what happens at your GP appointment - it's silly but I'm a little jealous of those of you who are 'allowed' to have them!

Mulberry2627 · 25/01/2017 21:03

I'm watching one born every minute....brave or stupid?!!!

I know just how early on we all are but I'm so excited to meet our little bub, it makes me well up every time I think about it!!

Presh88 · 25/01/2017 21:06

On NHS choices website it does say you should have an appt early on so bit weird that they've decided not to allow it! www.nhs.uk/Conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/Pages/antenatal-appointment-schedule.aspx

Haha I've taken myself to bed already - trying to contain the craziness Grin

Presh88 · 25/01/2017 21:07

I love One Born Every Minute! May as well start facing the reality of what has to happen haha

powerpuffer · 26/01/2017 08:31

Hello ladies! I've just tested this morning at 10dpo and got my BFP! I've looked dated the online calculators and it says I am due on 8th October! First baby for me and although I know it is very very early days, I can't stop myself getting a little excited!

Presh88 · 26/01/2017 08:35

Congratulations!

puttingourhoodupdown · 26/01/2017 10:27

Welcome along power.

presh I'm thinking sometime between 8-9 weeks, I'm already getting quite a bump on me and I'm only 5+2 so not sure how long I'll be able to keep quiet, I was at least 16 weeks before I had any sort of bump last time Confused

I should have my nhs scan date through next week too so I'll see what date that is and then book one I'm beforehand. I'm much more anxious this time than I was with DD, it was blissful ignorance last time!

Jeneral · 26/01/2017 13:50

Hello! Congrats everyone!

I'd like to join in please. Got BFP on Saturday (initially in denial as only faint line and went out to get more tests, now know definitely real!). ETD 29 September.

It's my second pregnancy, my first will be 2.5 when baby comes - despite actively planning this am now petrified and have no idea how will cope at home every day with a baby and a toddler!

Already getting symptoms, up until 3am the other night with nausea and stomach cramps etc. Have sore boobs as well. First pregnancy was very grim and was nauseous most of the day from weeks 6-22. Please let this one be better!!

Sbs6jb1 · 26/01/2017 15:29

ME!

I've been a lurker around the conception threads for a while now...

BFP last Saturday - day before period due. Should be due beginning of October. Second pregnancy but first baby (if all goes well!) as I had an ectopic back in August after a long old stretch of amenorrhea.

I've got an early scan booked at 6w to make sure all is in the right place - I've not got any of the horrid symptoms I had last time thankfully (& touch wood!) so I am feeling positive right now although I am taking care to not count my chickens..

Good luck everyone! Flowers

Stickaforkinimdone · 26/01/2017 17:30

Welcome all! So glad our numbers are increasing!
Got my midwife appointment through a few days ago-good to get everything booked in!

I'm experiencing really sore boobs and feeling generally quite bloated, wondering how quickly I'll start to show this time round-baby number one I had a small bump by 11weeks and had to start wearing maternity trousers at that point too-for those of you who have already had two did you find you showed quicker with subsequent pregnancies?!

Nimisha · 26/01/2017 21:02

Hi all. My boobs are not sore anymore and no nausea today, got a bit spooked and did a pregnancy test which was reassuring dark at 5+2.

Still need to book my early bird appointment at the children's centre. It's only short I think.

Fork my bump was earlier with number 2, but there was only 19 months between them so my stomach muscles weren't great.

Having a baby and toddler was hard but they play together lovely now.

Hi to all the newcomers!Grin

10storey fx for you, hopefully this is your sticky bean.

The nausea started hitting me last night. Not had any sickness yet but keep feeling nauseous about 1hr after I have anything to eat. How's everyone else doing?

Also telling all the parents tomorrow. We've filled little boxes with some baby grows and shoes and a card that says "You've been promoted to granny and grandad". Really can't wait to finally share the news with someone irl x

puttingourhoodupdown · 27/01/2017 15:42

Fingers crossed 10

I'm feeling knackered and a bit nauseous....DD has gone for a very rare nap this PM so I'm currently snuggled under a blanket reading mumsnet. I'm so bloody cold this pregnancy, I can't remember the last time I felt my hands or my feet!!

Chlo22 · 27/01/2017 16:31

Fingers crossed for everyone x
I've had some brown discharge for the past few days which I've been really concerned about but seems that's quite normal. Had mc and ectopic previous so hard not to panic but am trying to stay calm and positive. I've got an early scan next week by which point I'll be 6 weeks so hopefully that should offer some reassurance everything's in right place.
Soon as you get the news you want to badly there's something else to worry about! X

emmaluggs · 27/01/2017 17:40

I got my positive on Tuesday Smile apps suggest I'll be due around 1st October. Was our first time TTC so elated we didn't have long to wait. Pangs of nausea and boobs are so sore and I'm so shattered. Other half is off to Las Vegas next week so hoping I can muster the energy to walk my 2 big(ish) dogs everyday

thepotatoesofdefiance · 27/01/2017 18:38

Hi everyone, can I join you? Had a nice strong positive yesterday and will be due some time in the first week of October (had a mc back in December and no AF since so not quite sure of dates). I have 2 dses, 4 and 1.5 and am moving abroad in May so it's going to be a full on year! Have bought myself some digis today as I never quite feel it's confirmed until I see that clear 'pregnant'.

Oh and my bump came much earlier with ds2 (about 12 weeks I think, ds1 was more like 20 weeks). With my last pregnancy that I miscarried I was already conscious of it at about 8 weeks although I don't think it was externally obvious!

Presh88 · 27/01/2017 19:08

Welcome and congratulations to the new folk Smile

I had the worlds most pointless GP appointment earlier, he was running very late and obviously quite stressed so basically confirmed it was planned, I was taking folic acid, pretty fit and well and then referred me to the midwives who'll see me for booking in at sometime!
Also got told the first trimester is really boring and there is a high risk of miscarriage so 'wait and see' Confused so those of you annoyed you don't get a GP appt - don't worry you're not missing much!

GimbleInTheWabe · 27/01/2017 22:28

Hi everyone
Joining here from the TTC thread. We got lucky and got a BFP in cycle 1! Only DTD once as well but it was the day before I ovulated. Got my first bfp test on tues I think and have been excited since then! Feel like I want to do a test every day though to check I'm still pregnant!
Oh forgot to add I am 4+1 an dye 5th oct. got my gp appointment on weds!

thepotatoesofdefiance · 27/01/2017 23:16

Aw it's a shame he rushed you and wasn't more encouraging Presh, but have to say I've never got more than that from a first GP app so won't bother this time, I'll just self-refer straight to the midwives.

Very strong lines 10

I've heard strange dreams are a pg symptom, I don't normally remember dreams but I was having some right at the start
