Morning everyone!
From what I read the brown spotting is only a problem if it turns bright red. Mine lasted 3-4 days Confused but has now stopped.
I'm dreading the sickness and hoping I get off light this time. I had a burst appendix and was very ill during my last pregnancy so telling myself nothing will be as bad as that hopefully (DD now a very healthy, happy and mischievous 3 year old with no ill effects so all ended well). Grin
I found sickness always worse if I was tired so I'm trying not to plan too much in the coming weeks. Easier said than done right?!

Presh88 · 23/01/2017 07:01

mulberry I'm glad I'm not the only one without many symptoms! I keep poking my boobs but no soreness yet (except for the poking...), no sickness and no more tired then usual! Apart from some cramping and the BFPs I wouldn't have a clue - in fact I keep forgetting for a few hours and have to remind myself Grin
Really hope everyone's sickness isn't too bad especially if you've suffered it in previous pregnancies!

Addtothechaos · 23/01/2017 09:34

Morning everyone

Will tentavily hop onto the bus as got my bfp yesterday (shocker!) still v early days for me as af was only due either today or tomorrow (I think!) got a stronger line on clear blue this morn though Smile

I think I will be due around 3rd October! Was planning on a little pumpkin patch baby and if all goes well then looks like I'm going to get just that! Grin

How is everyone? I have sore boobs and a bit of a dicky tum?! Also this is baby no.3 for me. Haves 6yr old dd and 3yr old ds xx

Stickaforkinimdone · 23/01/2017 09:39

We're increasing in numbers-hurrah!

I had no sickness at all in my last pregnancy but without a doubt I'm feeling rather quesy at the moment and have been all weekend-feels a bit like motion sickness? To those of you who've had morning sickness before is this what it feels like?!

Pidgythe2nd · 23/01/2017 12:18

The sickness for me sounds like what you describe stick. It. Was always more a nauseous feeling rather than actually being sick in my 1st pregnancy, but was sick a fair bit in my 2nd pregnancy.
I'm actually feeling slightly queasy but I'm not even 5 weeks so could be in my head!!

Addto I've got that symptom too! DC3 for me too so your name seems v appropriate. Wink

Nimisha · 23/01/2017 19:11

Hello everyone, especially the newcomers. I've had a good day, boobs only slightly sore but I think I'm coming down with a cold. No spotting this time. I've settled on September the 26th as my edd calculated from ov day as my lp is short. It means I'm fine weeks tomorrow Yey.

One hour some time off work coming up so I'm going to try and book my first midwife appointment then, am also booking a private scan at 8 weeks as I had a missed miscarriage last October.

puttingourhoodupdown · 23/01/2017 20:16

We are due date buds nim, I'm also going to book a private scan for around week 9 I think

Mulberry2627 · 23/01/2017 20:50

I keep wondering about sickness too! I'm starting to feel a little sick when I haven't eaten in a while and am keeping snacks handy...although that's pretty hard when I'm teaching and have to keep telling my little ones I'm eating an apple 😂

Presh I'm glad I'm not the only one without sore boobs! I also keep prodding mine just to test them and nothing!!!

Are early scans worth it? My husband will be away for our 12 week scan so we were planning on doing one when he comes back when I'll be about 16/17 weeks but hadn't thought about possibly doing an early one. He's gutted to be missing it!

piraterach · 23/01/2017 21:35

Nim, putting looks like we're due date triplets! Lol x

Presh88 · 24/01/2017 05:39

When does he go away mulberry? I'm tempted to have one around 7 weeks as I think they can see a heartbeat by then and I'd be a lot more comfortable telling parents when we can tell them that everything looked ok! Also to reassure myself as I definitely don't feel pregnant yet (although only 4w3d at the moment).
What does everyone think about exercise during first trimester? I went for a swim last night and really enjoyed it but a bit scared of using normal gym equipment Confused now sure whether it's safe?

Presh88 · 24/01/2017 05:41

Forgot to mention there's a scan place near me (midlands) which only charges £45 so I'd definitely consider it if your husband is missing 12week scan Smile

Nimisha · 24/01/2017 09:04

Mulberry, I'm having a scan because I had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks but the baby had died at 7 weeks 3 days.

I'd hate to get to 12 weeks and find that the baby hadn't developed past 5 weeks which happens to some people.

I can't stop another miscarriage but I'm not getting any younger and it would be such a waste of time, especially as my nausea was getting worse as time went on last time (even after my angel baby had stopped growing). I'd rather know so I could get on with trying again.

Seeing a heartbeat at 7 weeks was amazing, even if things weren't too be in the end.

Stickaforkinimdone · 24/01/2017 09:11

£45 is a bargain!!! Think we're going to have an early scan done just before we go on holiday at the end of feb but round here you're looking at a minimum of £100 😕 I think it's worth it for the reassurance though

I ended up having 2 early scans in my first pregnancy as GP was concerned about an ectopic-at 5wks 6 days they still couldn't see a heartbeat which was really worrying but then when I was seen the following week it was there (the heartbeat is now an excitable 2 year old!)

puttingourhoodupdown · 24/01/2017 16:15

presh where abouts in the midlands of you don't mind me asking?

the nausea hit today & the heightened sense of smell! I had my appt with the GP this morning and then referred to MW...got blood tests next week then booking in on 15 Feb, they do it at home now so that makes it easier to keep DD entertained. Hospital should send me a scan date through next week too, exciting!

Presh88 · 24/01/2017 20:28

I'm in Sutton Coldfield but the place I'm looking at is on Birmingham city centre!
Did your husband go to the GP appt with you? I have mine Friday and told him it will probably be pretty pointless to come to but not actually sure

Mulberry2627 · 24/01/2017 20:38

Nimisha sorry to hear about your miscarriage, hopefully the scan helps to ease your mind a little!

Presh he goes away in March for 6 weeks and then possibly another operational tour in May through August. He was due to go for 3 months in September but obviously he can't do that now! We will have to fit the scan in between him coming back and going again but hoping the hospital may accommodate this!

How is everyone today?

puttingourhoodupdown · 24/01/2017 22:02

Ooh what's it called? I had a google for some but didn't find one so cheap! No I went by myself, it only lasted about 10 mins...my DH didn't come to anything apart from scans last time and he wasn't needed for any of it.... ( I did need his family medical history for first midwife appt but I already knew it)

Presh88 · 25/01/2017 07:01

putting it's the 'peek a baby' one on Hagley road. Crap name but for £45 reckon I can put up with it!
mulberry glad he's got the September one sorted!
Still not feeling any real symptoms apart from the odd cramping. Hoping that's just because it's still early on and trying to feel happy rather than worried that I'm not being sick Smile

Addtothechaos · 25/01/2017 11:28

Hi everyone

Feel like I'm still a little too early to be on the bus as only 4 weeks but don't feel like I can keep posting on conception bus either as I got bfp Sunday just gone so not much else to write on there now!

Will probably just keep checking in here and come back properly around 6 week mark when the real symptoms usually kick in!!

At the mo I still have sore boobs (although not too bad) and another ruddy cold and still a bad tum (anyone had that symptom before?!)

Hope you ladies are doing well and here's to all our pregnancies being healthy and uneventful ! Grin xx

Calmisthemantra · 25/01/2017 16:55

I'm due late September but both of my babies have been late so jumping on here if that's ok. 5 weeks today and starting to feel more 'off' by the day

donkey86 · 25/01/2017 18:12

I rang the GP surgery today (had been thinking I'd left it a while as its over a week now since I found out) and they said they don't make any appointments this early and I should ring back when I'm eight weeks! I was quite surprised as from what I've read on here most people have an initial appointment before then. Has anyone else been told the same?

Calmisthemantra · 25/01/2017 19:32

Donkey I was told they don't do the booking in appt until after 6weeks. But for my previous pregnancy's in a different part of the country it was after 8 weeks. I think it varies by location/Drs

Mulberry2627 · 25/01/2017 19:53

Donkey I also called my doctor today and have booked my booking appt. I won't be 8 weeks (will be about 7 + 5 so nearly 8 weeks) then but will be on half term so it's the only time I can get there for an hours appointment! They should at least book your appointment, especially as they book up quickly and you need a long one for the first one!!

donkey86 · 25/01/2017 19:53

Ah, fair enough then. I knew booking in wouldn't be for a while, but I thought there was an appointment that came before that - I guess not!

donkey86 · 25/01/2017 19:56

Yes, I was surprised they wouldn't take a booking anyway, even for in the future, but the receptionist was quite insistent. I guess it's just their policy. Luckily my surgery is open until 8pm most days so I should be able to fit an appointment in whenever they finally let me!
