Well hitting 6+1 I got nausea and now at 7+1 I've started the sickness part. I was out shopping and had to pop to McDonald's as I was really nauseous and thought something to eat may help but I ended up ordering and then running to the loos to vomit! I feel 100x better now it's come up so hopefully that's it... For today!

boxesoffrogs · 20/02/2017 10:25

Hi, can I join? Got BFP on Saturday and pregnancy tracker app reckons I am five weeks five days with a EDD of 17th October... no idea what to do next - GP?? Obviously this is my first and I am absolutely terrified!

Cath1212 · 20/02/2017 10:40

congratulations boxesoffrogs!

My first as well - its a bit overwhelming isn't it. I wasn't sure what to do and just booked an appointment with my GP who was very helpful - he sent over my details to the hospital who then sent me the date of the first scan in the post. Maybe call your surgery and find out what there process is?

FluttershyStare · 20/02/2017 10:41

Hi, hope I'm alright joing here!

I got my bfp yesterday when af was due, I've moved on to Ovia that reckons with my cycle length etc I'm 3 weeks, and due the very end of October.

It was funny, because I had such high a strong feeling for this month... now to ring the drs and see where to go next

I've been told (when being scanned years ago for cysts) that I have a heart shaped uterus and to mention it to the gp if I got pregnant...

Anyone heard or experienced the same?

FluttershyStare · 20/02/2017 10:42

Bloody phone... excuse typos Grin

boxesoffrogs · 20/02/2017 10:49

It is massively overwhelming! I have got a right panic on, going to ring the GP in a bit and see what they say. Currently feeling rubbish, constant headache and feeling dizzy, plus massively bloated.

Just can't quite believe this is real!! Can anyone recommend any supplements or anything, or is it the done thing just to take folic acid? Considering this is a semi planned (as in let's see what happens) pregnancy, I didn't expect it to happen so quickly and I am feeling woefully unprepared.

10storeylovesong · 20/02/2017 11:41

Good luck Loopy!

I've just reached a low point. Throwing up in a bush on the park in front of my 4 year old. Not pleasant. I feel like I'm failing at life so much at the minute. I've spent the weekend lay up on the couch concentrating on not being sick while my husband does all the childcare. I feel like a rubbish mum and wife at the minute. And I'm due in work at two today, working until midnight which means I'll crawl into bed around 1am and be up with my ds around 7 (probably after multiple wake ups in night as he is unsettled at minute). I genuinely just feel like crying, or locking myself in a dark room and staying horizontal for next few weeks.

Luna4689 · 20/02/2017 12:20

Box .. my first too!! I'm taking folic acid and vitamin D but that's all I've been reccomended! The pregnecare ones are soooo expensive so I get boots own :) congrats!!

Rufus200 · 20/02/2017 12:52

My lines aren't getting any darker. Tried to buy a first response rapid this morning which is supposed to be 100mIU but none of the 3 pharmacies I went to sell anything higher then 25mIU. DH said he bets no one has ever seen a woman have a temper tantrum that they only sell sensitive pregnancy tests before.
My thinking is that if I haven't been able to trigger a 100mIU test by Thurs then this is a chemical. If it is a chemical I wish it would just fuck off and stop wasting my time.
I have clear blue but the 2-3wk is 253mIU and those levels won't be achieved till next week.
AF due today and clear blue says 1-2wks. DH doesn't understand my impatience at all and thinks I'm being really silly.

SeatOfMyPants · 20/02/2017 13:00

I'm with you Rufus200 - I'm not convinced as yet by this pregnancy. And my obvious desire to KNOW whether it's going anywhere or not is generally interpreted by most as anxiety because of the MMC before (and I'm sure it is a bit). But to be honest it's more that I want to get a move on with actually ttc a viable pregnancy and this is holding me up if it's not going anywhere.

Impatient.

DrunkenFlamingo · 20/02/2017 13:10

Anyone else suffering with hormones? Been in bed for the last 3 days- can't stop crying. This is so tough Sad.

10storeylovesong · 20/02/2017 13:31

Rufus and Seat - can you not go to drs and request blood tests? That's what I've done with previous losses and it's just given me an indication of how I'm getting along x

DancingUnicorn · 20/02/2017 13:40

So sorry it's so bad love story! Is there any chance you can take a day or two off work as sick leave to try to sleep as much as possible?

I left for work this morning having been sobbing on the hall floor. The idea of a 45 minute bus journey when feeling nauseous is just horrible!! My poor oh didn't know what to do! I've still not actually been sick but feel on the verge most of the morning and then again in the evening. I'm reassured, but it sucks!!! I feel so bad for people experiencing it worse than me!

Anotherminime · 20/02/2017 13:46

Thanks emwithme and loopy, it's really interesting to hear about your ovulation experiences. I can tell when I'm ovulating (sorry if TMI) by a change in discharge, but I've never felt which side!! Good luck today loopy, I hope the scan goes well.

I went to get a private toxoplasmosis test today and the clinic had an ultrasound machine right next to me. I so wanted to just cave and get a scan done then and there. But I know there isn't anything I can do so I'll be patient and wait for now.

Toxo on the other hand - if I'm immune then I'm eating loads of steak when I go to France in a few weeks Grin

Lovechild2016 · 20/02/2017 13:55

Congratulations boxfofrogs NHS advised to take folic acid and vitamin D. You can take extra supplements like pregnacare if you like but personal preference but would def recommend the folic acid and Vit D.

10storey don't beat yourself up!! Early pregnancy is so tough and working shifts is soooo hard when you feel like poop. You are definitely not failing at life - quite the opposite!! Same for you dancingunicorn sorry you are feeling so poorly, I think nausea is as bad as actual vomiting (some turns the vomit is a relief!).

rufus and seat remember line depends on how concentrated urine is. It's such a stressful time, thinking of you and hope you all is ok.

Good luck for scan loopy Flowers

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 20/02/2017 15:57

Scan good, the prof has been proven wrong, one sac definitely seen in uterus. He said my uterus was hard to see as tilted and high up (but not high up enough for abdominal scan) so he couldn't rule out more than 1, but definitely saw one and gave me scan pics.

Rufus re tests, if you use the first response early response tests they will darken if all is well and then eventually the control line will lighten as it progresses with the test line staying dark. Attached is my last frer from yesterday so you can see what I mean, I shan't do any more tests now I've had a 3+ today and a location scan.

October 2017-come one come all!
doomkittycleo · 20/02/2017 16:02

I'm just waiting to see the GP now. Surprisingly nervous. I know she probably won't do anything, but I never go to the Drs. The one I'm seeing is pretty grumpy too.

UndersecretaryofWhimsy · 20/02/2017 16:05

Good news re: your scan Loopy.

I'm just still trying to take it one day at a time here, and reminding myself I didn't get massive sickness in my last (successful) pregnancy and that my mother never had bad sickness.

I am having some truly crazy vivid dreams though. Quite fun actually.

Rufus200 · 20/02/2017 16:26

loopy can I ask what you were feeling to need a position scan. Sorry I've missed your prev post. Good news

88claire · 20/02/2017 16:30

Hello Ladies,

Can I join? I got a BFP last week after a miscarriage at 6 weeks in January (I conceived again without a period inbetween! Just been to the doctors and now have an estimated due date of 29th October 2017.

I am absolutely terrified of miscarrying again but everything seems OK so far.

Hope everyone is well!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 20/02/2017 16:44

Rufus I had a location scan because prof Brosens at Coventry decided that I'd had so many losses that they must be recurrent ectopics. Nothing to prove this, just came up with this theory which I didn't believe as I'd had 12 and surely no ones body is unlucky enough to have that many in a row, and for them to all self resolve without causing life threatening situations. So he did a location scan and it proved him wrong as this one is in the uterus!!

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 20/02/2017 16:45

Trouble is coventry don't believe in high blood NK's and as far as they are concerned I don't need pred. But this is my first attempt ttc on pred and I'm doing better with this BFP than 11 of my 12 losses. I needed pred!

doomkittycleo · 20/02/2017 17:08

So pretty straight forward at the GP. Just said she'll refer to the midwife, gave me a mat 1B application form and asked me for my dates. Other than that she just said congratulations.

Kirsty8333 · 20/02/2017 17:17

I had my scan today and they could see a heartbeat. Measuring at 6+5 so one day behind what I thought I was. Feeling a bit more reassured that things are progressing this time.

PlayOnWurtz · 20/02/2017 17:20

Hi all lovely to hear some positive news! I'm feeling rough today with nausea and tiredness. I've also had monstrous cramps and foul mood so Im hoping everything is OK but suspect it won't be
