Urgh, am starting to feel pretty sick. Not actually being sick, which I'm thankful for. Also have a really bad headache. Is that normal?! It's like a really bad hang over except significantly less fair as I'm not bloody drinking!! Gr.

doomkittycleo · 19/02/2017 11:00

Sophie, I'm still going to body pump. I told the instructor that I'm pregnant and she just told me to take it easy and to stop if anything makes me feel dizzy or hurts.

She also said to not lift my legs during the abdominal work.

If you already exercise it's fine, just don't start anything new.

hometownunicorn · 19/02/2017 11:49

dancing I've had a headache for about 2 weeks too. It's horrible, and just like being hungover as I also feel quite dehydrated so drinking loads of water and then needing to pee loads. It's no fun is it?!

DancingUnicorn · 19/02/2017 12:11

No, really no fun! Had plans to go on a nice day trip this weekend. But haven't managed to. Managed to go out for lunch yesterday, but spent today on the sofa feeling sorry for myself! On the plus side, I'm feeling a little better for now... momentary victories!

abcdemma · 19/02/2017 12:44

Feeling queasy here too, but it's also reassuring in a way that my symptoms are increasing. Off for a curry later so I hope I'm up to it!
Hope everyone well x

DebsOctBaby · 19/02/2017 12:55

Hey. My EDD will be 28th I think :-) and can I ask what team yellow means?

TinySalmon · 19/02/2017 13:18

Hi Debs it means the sex of the baby. We are all team yellow right now because we don't know. Along the way some of us will be team pink or blue or some will stay team yellow until the birth. A nice way to see what each of us are expecting or end up having :)

TinySalmon · 19/02/2017 13:19

I just had a thought... given there are so many of us now I reckon at least one of us on the list will be expecting TWINS! 😱😍

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 19/02/2017 13:21

Technically my EDD I think will be 22/10 but because i will have to have an ELCS and because I'll be 41 by then it's likely to be no later than 13/10

Starfish83 · 19/02/2017 13:21

Hi and welcome Sophie! I'm in Bristol. 😀 Exercising is both safe and encouraged, unless you have had a history of difficult pregnancies. I'm doing body pump, spinning and run, but have gone lighter on my weights and make sure I don't get too hot/can still have a conversation when spinning and running.

Doomkitty, after reading your post re. abs in pump I'm thinking perhaps I should tell my teacher? (I've been doing abs track as normal. 😬) I'm 6+1 and as thinking I might just wait for as long as possible before telling her, but don't want to be doing things I should be!

The nausea's really hit me this week. No sickness but a lot of feeling horribly sick. It seems so bizarre to me - with lots of other complaints you'd tell people (friends, work colleagues, etc.) that you weren't feeling well, but this 'secret sickness' is strange - there have been a number of times this week when being horizontal (getting into bed) has been the only thing to alleviate the nausea.

Hope that those who are feeling poorly are coping OK, and those who aren't are not worrying too much!

⭐️ xx

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 19/02/2017 13:23

There's a small chance I might have more than one on board tiny, as I suspect I ovulated on both sides which is not something I've ever had happen before and was rather odd. But no telling whether just one implanted or not, but should find out more at the scan tomorrow...

TinySalmon · 19/02/2017 13:26

That would be so exciting loony!! Grin You must let us know!

DancingUnicorn · 19/02/2017 13:33

Tiny I think I love the idea of twins! Although no idea how I'd cope in practice. There are twins on both sides of our families though... no idea if my ohs family has any impact?

charmanar · 19/02/2017 15:09

I also love the idea of twins, but I can barely cope with one baby so think three would be a definite step too far atm! Think they run on the woman's side of the family but may be making that up. I took another digi test today at 5/40 and said just 2-3 weeks pregnant, so twins incredibly unlikely, wish I hadn't taken it though as now I'm worrying it didn't say 3+ (I know they are unreliable but we can't not worry can we)

TinySalmon · 19/02/2017 15:15

Tell me about it dancing and charmanar! I love the idea of twins but practically it would be a nightmare. My neighbour had twins last year and one was very ill so they were in and out of hospital a lot... they ended up hiring a maternity nurse for a whole year! That's roughly £200 a day, 6 days a week for a year 😳😳 They are gorgeous though! Identical twin girls :)

PlayOnWurtz · 19/02/2017 15:19

I categorically do not want twins so hope I'm not the one on the list who produces them! Grin

Lovechild2016 · 19/02/2017 15:47

I had a dream last night I was expecting twin boys! Don't think it's true though as HCG seems to fit with singleton preg. I think you're right though tiny odds are one of us will be! Good to hear everyone's exercise bits. Sorry you are feeling so rubbish kirsty if I continue to feel like I did this morning I don't think I'll be able to keep exercising. Am feeling better this afternoon though thankfully! Thanks for advice everyone I think regular snacks def helps x

mummabubs · 19/02/2017 16:52

At least I know from the early scan that there's only one bubbabean growing for me, phew! 😂

powerpuffer · 19/02/2017 17:03

I've got my early scan next week so will confirm then! I wouldn't mind twins, I imagine it's easier first time rather than having a toddler to manage too. I'll take one (two!) for the team!

Cath1212 · 19/02/2017 17:45

Hello to all the newbies! Smile

Nice to see there are few other nervous first timers on here

Has anyone on here had any procedures on their cervix before? I have had two lletz procedures for abnormal cells, I let the doctor know but he didn't seem too concerned...

I have been waking up with headaches too, lovely!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

Lovechild2016 · 19/02/2017 18:08

Hi cath I have had a LETZ on my cervix. I was going to speak to midwife about it at my booking appointment. Slightly anxious but I think for the majority of women it doesn't cause any problems.

SophieGiroux · 19/02/2017 18:15

I'm used to having a lot of headaches as I suffer badly with migraines usually. I had a really bad weekend of it just before I found out I was pregnant (about 3+4). Didn't know whether I could take any of my prescribed migraine meds so that's when I did the FRER and got a BFP! Woke up today with a mild one but hoping pregnancy will stop them for me as think it's the sudden change in hormones that does it. I first had them as a teenager and then came back with a vengeance when I cut back on breast feeding. Think this one will be feeding until they're 5! Grin

emwithme · 19/02/2017 18:21

I've had a LLETZ, about 15 years ago fuck how is it that long . Had no clue it may cause issues. Will mention that to the midwife at booking in.

I don't think I'd mind twins - and wouldn't be surprised if they happened, as I frequently ovulate from both sides in the same cycle (and have done for years). I think I only ovulated from the left this month, though.

For those who have done this before, what happens at the booking in appointment? Do I need to take anything (urine sample?) or will they just expect me to turn up empty handed?

PlayOnWurtz · 19/02/2017 18:27

They'll come to your home, have a chat about your medical history and what support you have around you and what your expectations are. They'll answer any questions and take some blood. If you've had any pregnancies before they'll ask how they went and their deliveries.
